If you would like to apply for one of the following positions, please post inside this thread with a brief summary of what you can contribute to this production, as well as a link to 3-5 examples of your work (if applicable).
Remember that to be a part of this staff, you have to be willing to devote a considerable amount of time to the project. You should have an e-mail address by which you can be contacted. This is a serious project, not just some hobby for you to do during your free time. If you cannot devote your time to the magazine and plan to simply vanish during production, please do not apply.
If you are interested in being a writer, but feel that you haven't got the writing skills, that's okay! You don't have to be the best -- that's what editors are for. All we ask is that you have an understanding of grammar and style, and that you can write English fluently.
Descriptions
Editor-In-Chief:
Responsible for ensuring that the magazine's staff runs in an orderly, effective manner to maximize production capability. Has overall authority over all daily functions and issues arising in the production of the magazine. Has the final say in approving or disapproving of a new writer applying for a post. Will keep a record of assignments and will be responsible for reminding each writer of the deadline and enforcing the deadline policy.
Executive Editor:
Responsible for leading staff members and making sure all assignments are turned in punctually. Responsible for making sure all writers receive fair and appropriate feedback on and assessment of their articles. Responsible for editing articles for any grammatical and spelling errors. Responsible in all administrative work, which includes taking minutes in all meetings, taking attendance, collecting funds, administering paperwork, and completing all assignments in an organized and punctual manner.
Copy Editors:
Responsible for reading each article to check for any grammatical and spelling errors. Will need to have a good understanding of correct grammatical functions. Responsible for correct each article in an effective and timely fashion. Responsible for returning articles to the Editor-in-Chief for final approval.
Fashion Writers:
Responsible for keeping a close eye on the fashion industry. Will need to gather insider information and will need to cover fashion shows and trends. Will need to create style collages and will be responsible for overseeing Street Fashion submissions.
Cosmetics Writers:
Responsible for contacting various stores or make-up lines for donation purposes. Responsible for getting information about new releases and in charge of contacting all other cosmetics-related professionals. Responsible for overseeing photo-shoots (if any).
News Writers:
Responsible for covering news that will have an impact on the fashion industry. Responsible for getting insider information about the future of fashion.
Web Designer: Responsible for consistently updating the magazine's official websites with meeting dates, magazine content, and current reminders. Will need to have knowledge and experience concerning websites to make it easily accessible and organized. Will work with the P&A team in e-mail correspondence with professionals in the industry.
Layout Editor:
Responsible for working with the Graphic Designer to create a unique, creative, and professional layout of the magazine in a timely schedule. Responsible for the pre-production packaging of the magazine, ensuring that the magazine's fonts, graphics, and art are suitable and ready to print. Responsible for being in communication with the printer and will need superior knowledge of InDesign.
Marketing Director:
Responsible for leading publicity & advertising staff. Responsible for overseeing P&A campaigns and distribution of the magazine. Will need to contact various stores, blogs, firms, and designers who are willing to donate clothes and other supplies, invest in the magazine, and who are interested in advertising with the magazine. Will need to maintain a lasting professional relationship with the stores who donate and in doing so, further publicize the magazine. Responsible for planning events and networking opportunities and keeping a list of possible contacts. Responsible for generating ad sales and for representing the magazine.
Publicity & Advertising Staff: (led by Marketing Director)
Responsible for working on campaigns. Will need to help distribute advertisements. Will contact various notable individuals in the fashion industry to help publicize the magazine. Responsible for contacting and keeping a lasting relationship with any freelance photographers willing to help with the magazine's efforts.
Photography Staff:
Responsible for representing the magazine and making sure that a member of the photography staff is present for each photography session. Responsible for contacting and keeping a lasting relationship with any freelance photographers willing to help with the magazine's efforts. Responsible for creating presentable and professional backgrounds for each photo-shoot and make sure that all photographs represent the standard and mission of the magazine.
Graphic Designers:
Responsible for creating graphics for the P&A. Will work with the P&A on each campaign. Responsible for making sure photographs are professional and creative.

I would be interested in being an editor. I am great with finding grammar and spelling mistakes in other people's writing and I know how to restructure sentences. I am an English Honors student, and editing has always been a strength of mine.
I can also double a fashion or cosmetics writer until we have all the spots filled in. I am a great writer, and I would love to be able to write for the magazine.

This sounds a bit too complicated/hard/deadline-mustish for me. I COULD work as a graphic's designer, I've had 100% in art class since 3rd grade and i've been in art contests and the sort, the only issue is that i'm in 11th grade, so i don't have any official things, and I'll edit this post as soon as I upload some banners/stuff i used on this now failed rp group I used to have (I did everything that had to do with graphics for this group.) Of course if you find someone better go ahead and replace me since thanks to lovely school and the sort now my hours suck (:

As a resident of the great New York, and because I spend all of my spare time roaming around the city and upscale malls, I'd be more than qualified for this position.
I'm an English Honors student, and I actually like writing, so this shouldn't be a problem or a burden on me.
My parents are doctors in the city and some of their patients are high up in the fashion industry. Like once, I got into a Chanel fashion show, which was my dream come true. Maybe I can pull a few more strings for the zine (;
