« A Quick Description » of the « R o l e » P l a y
● ● ● xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx• Setting; London, England 2007. This Role Play takes place in an alternate Reality from what we know today.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx• The Story; A monarchy rules over Britain in this modern era. The monarchy is weighed heavily in blood as the lines trace back to the very founders of Britain. In 1999, the ruling head and youngest brother of two siblings was the crown of the kingdom.
On the night of the transition from the twentieth century, a brilliant celebration was being held at the castle. Every noble was invited from all over the globe to celebrate in the oldest empire. As the clock struck midnight the lights of all of Britain vanished. Two minutes after the confusion the lights returned and from the cloak of darkness was an unsettling sight seen. Thrust upon his golden throne lay the former head of the Empire. A bloody spear racked through his chest, penetrating his ever-still heart. Above his head in bloody letters was written the words 'Scarlet Letter'.
Many of the Nobles and servants to the royal crown turned to his one and only daughter, Scarlet. They feared she was the real target or would be next to be murdered. She was only ten at the time though.
Years have passed and Christophe, blood cousin to Scarlet, ascended the throne after his father who ruled until he was of age and will continue to rule until Scarlet's nineteenth birthday where she will be crowned the Queen of Britain. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx• Plot; It is your choice, defend the crown or fight for democracy in this ancient world of Kings and Queens. Can you or will you topple the crown? Will you fight for everything you believe in? This is all up to you. O t h e r / / I n f o r m a t i o n 1. Terrorists: there are smaller, rag-tag groups of activists and terrorists around England. The most forward and radical group would be the Black Hand (no reference to the Slovakian terrorist group that triggered World War 1). They are a very unstable group with deep connections through the island. They are mainly a communist organization and have strong beliefs. This group is hard to get in contact with and because of their radical behavour, are hard to work with.
2. The Underground (otherwise known as Multiple and Extensive Roots of Europe or MESE): The underground is based in two major cities (One in Glasgow Scotland [ruled under British monarchy] and the Republic of Ireland [which remains a 'free' state however is held on a tight leash by Britain]). These two places are the main trade posts for fire arms, technology and various forms of 'dirty luxury'.

3. Turmoil in England: Obviously there are acts of crime around the country though there hasn't been anything too worrying. There are some small riots lead by smaller parties against the government, however it's nothing too too much. The media tends to focus itself on the issues of Royalty more then the small up risings. Another sector of focus is on the French Monarchy which seems to be on the ropes and could, in the future, become an unbalanced state which Britain should keep an eye on.
India is still ruled by the British as well as several other countries around the world. Canada has a small presidential government with appointed officials from the British monarchy.
The United States is isolationist and tends to deal only with Brazil, Africa, China and Japan.
England's main trading partner (excusing Canada) is Japan, therefore England's technology is far more advanced then most of the worlds (rivaling that of Japan's).
China is an independent, communist state and has fair ties with Britain, however avoids petty arguments. They have little trading connections.
Russia does not exist. It was conquered by British forces in the 1800's just after the fall of the Netherlands and surrounding, previously free countries. Switzerland has maintained it's neutrality. Luxembourg is part of the British provinces after assimilation.
Many other countries continue to keep their names, however, they are under British rule. The map below will detail the current territories.

I had a few interesting characters the first round but everyone in SDRP who was involved (other then myself and the cousin) had drifted and disappeared.

Yay, I feel better about being a stalker, let's see if I'm good in real life! -kidding-
That's not right...I hate it when that happens. That's pretty much why I quit Gaia for a year and some, roleplays never lasted. Only one of my games lasted for years, but it was after we moved if from Gaia to messenger. There were only three of us, so it was good, but...that's my only successful child.

My longest living child was an illiterate, one lined role play at the beginning of my role playing days. It lasted about 300 odd pages, was quite fun but there was a heck of a lot of God moding and one liners (not to mention pages of OOC chat).
My second longest was running up until about August. It had multiple sub forums and was about 300 pages as well (divided amongst the role playing areas) however, it became boring and people lost interest.
It was a fun game though^^

Ah, that sounds like pure goodness. I miss those times. That's why I like it here, everyone's so fun...it's just like I'm hanging out with my rl friends, we all act the same. And...we all enjoy good roleplays and making them last.

I've tried role playing with my friends in RL on gaia though it sort of failed. I had one that I really enjoyed that was fast paced and exciting but they stopped posting and I ended up giving up on reminding them lol.

Only one of my friends in rl actually could roleplay with me. She was the one that got me on Gaia, and she's mah bestie, so we do just about everything together. After a while though, we got tired of the increase in....illiteracy and quit Gaia. I'm the only one that came back.

My friends became bored of Gaia and left. I was the only one to really remain. From there I practiced and worked at my writing and now I can post pages on pages for a single response XD

I'm still working on the pages and pages thing. I've only been back for...a few months, and Amalgamation is the only place where I've really been practicing. You guys have high expectations ^^ But I love it!
