I'm not allowed to have a puppy in the hotel, as cheap and run down as it is, and I leave to do traveling on December 1st. I don't even know if I will be on Gaia during that time. crying

We love you, and why not try for an imaginary puppy? You don't need to do much for them, and they're always a second away. All you need is to be able to absorb yourself into your own mind... Then again, I am messed as is.
I suggest going to the lobby, and randomly read a book, or something like that. Chances are that someone will come along and start a conversation. (Happens to me here and there for some reason... One minute, I'm talking with no one then WHAM! people are left, right, and center...)
