Height

Weight
190 lbs

Eye Color

Hair Color

Village

Clan

Village Rank

Other Titles
Lunatic Kure-Ji
The Barbarian Sensei

Appearance Description
Kure-Ji's face is completely concealed by a veil that descends from his forehead. No matter how one looks, and from what angle, his face is always shrouded either by it, or by the shadow it casts. Duly he is considered one of the "Legendary Faces", a group of ninja who are popularly discussed because of their mysteriously hidden facial features. Kure-ji has long, stark white hair that hangs down, obscuring all but a little of the forehead that might have been exposed without it. His hair extends a foot past his shoulders

Kure-Ji always wears a black straight jacket, and will only take it off if his life is in extreme danger. It is said that the jacket is all that keeps him even remotely sane...

Personality
Kure-Ji is considered classifiably insane by most people who have met him. He develops odd habits like average people develop pimples, and he can rarely be said to be the same person in the morning as he ends up being in the night. When he's anxious, he struggles against his straight jacket to relieve his tension.

History
Not much is known about Kure-Ji's history, other than that he is the only descendant of the Shichiyou clan of Scholars, and that, at around the time he became a jounin he was at once stripped of his citizenship from any single village and given a rare gift of citizenship in any village. The terms of this give him the right to fight for the sake of whichever village he happens to be in at the time when he decides to fight. Instead of locking up this psychopath, the villages gave him free reign to do as he pleased.

Under a condition.

What the condition is, however, is unknown. What is known is that he is a legendary teacher, able to create prodigies out of the most useless candidates. Though what makes him picks the students he does is still unknown.

Ninjutsu

Nine Mouths for No Cause: Let Jigoku Be the Judge of Fire and Reason
Type: Ninjutsu
Rank: Genin
Kure-Ji's teeth become fiery hot, and deal fire damage when they touch anything foreign to his mouth. Can maintain indefinitely.

Nine Mouths for No Cause: Let Jigoku Be the Solicitor of Fire and Reason
Type: Ninjutsu
Rank: Genin
Kure-ji's teeth set any inanimate, flammable object they touch on fire. Can maintain indefinitely.

Nine Mouths for No Cause: The Pheonix Wasn't Only Born Yesterday
Type: Ninjutsu
Rank: Genin
Kure-ji throws up a volleyball sized flame which flies out of his mouth in a straight line. He must take a deep breath before doing this. Unlike a proper fireball, it does not explode, but hits the target with the force of a solid punch and all the other effects of being hit by fire apply.

Nine Mouths for No Cause: The Tar of Heaven is Far Sweeter Than the Bile of My Throat, But the Gods Aren't Sharing
Type: Ninjutsu
Rank: Genin
Kure Ji throws up a thick black bile that has two properties. One, it is very sticky, and slowly down target's movement slightly and two, it's highly flammable. The maximum range is ten feet.

Shadow Clone
Type: Ninjtusu
Rank: Chuunin
Creates a physical bunshin.

Summoning: Beast of Duress
Type: Ninjutsu
Rank: Jounin
Kure-Ji summons his ally, The Beast of Duress. The Beast is a featureless human shape which only appears to be two dimensional from whatever angle it is viewed. It is solid black and has a long, ropelike tail which sprouts from its lower back and ends in a scythelike blade.

The beast can only be hurt by things that target it's entire body. A sword would pass through it's body, but an area attack would hit all of it, and hurt it. The beast can choose to forgo this and take any attack it wishes.

The beast can deliver any type of damage (Piercing, slashing, bludgeoning...etc) as it can transform the end of its tail, which is usually scythe like, into any similar sized form.

The beast is an extremely able combatant, and is masterful in Taijutsu (5/7).

The Beast can transform into the Dancing Dusk, a kusari-gama. In this form, the Beast must may be weilded like a regular weapon, but can move on its own. This weapon is a devastatingly effective one, as it has all the strengths of a chain and blade without the weakness of being difficult to control. Kure-Ji must have his hands free to use this, however.

Poison Forever: Dream Manipulation Machine
Type: Ninjutsu
Rank: Kage
While most Poison Forever release jutsu are genjutsu, this one is not. By using this Jutsu, Kure-Ji gives the target's illusions form and substance, making them immediately real. This only works on illusions that would translate into physical effects. An illusion that creates love, for instance, would not turn that fake love into genuine love.

Taijutsu

Unnecessary Restraint: A Hand Forced Towards Hell Recoils from the Flames
Type: Taijutsu
Rank: Genin
With lightning speed, Kure-ji rips off his straight jacket and wraps it around his opponent. Usually used after a strong strike to daze the opponent.

Genjutsu
Poison Forever: Fire and Thunder Collide With Passionate Dance Upon My Infinite Palm
Type: Genjutsu
Rank: Genin
The target believes that one element is another. If he is hit with fire, for example, he believes it is water.

Poison Forever: Our Eyes Fly on the Wind Like A Pair of Wasps Plummeting to the Flower
Type: Genjutsu
Rank: Chuunin
Kure-Ji turns his veil towards his target and, if the target looks at his veil and cannot break the Genjutsu immediately, the target is compelled to keep eye contact with Kure-Ji's veil until Kure-Ji breaks his gaze (I.e. turns his head).

Poison Forever: Like Rumbling Earth We Rupture Against Our Own Will and By Our Own Hand
Type: Genjutsu
Rank: Chuunin
The target believes he or she is receiving terrible wounds across his/her body, and, in the same rationale in which one believes eggs hatch into sand in a dream, the target is sure that Kure-Ji is the one creating these wounds, even if it seems otherwise impossible. The target takes no actual damage. The target subconcious creates the type of wounds, how they appear...etc (That is to say, the character's player determines the way this manifests)

Poison Forever: Like Sliding From Atop a Mountain of Sand, Life Slips From Your Grasp At the Height of Victory
Type: Genjutsu
Rank: Chuunin
This jutsu must be used before an attack, and can only be used once per battle.

If Kure-Ji avoids the next attack from the target completely, the jutsu activates, and the target experiances an illusion that shows him striking Kure-Ji successfully. This lasts until the beginning of Kure-Ji's turn.

I like the character a whole lot, but wouldn't go as far as to say David's "cousin" Lomarco.

Well, Kakashi, since everyone else here doesn't see anything wrong with your character, it seems like I'm the only one here who can give you a proper review.

What a shame.

Ok. Let's look at the first glaring issue in particular here, and that's

Quote:
The beast can create obviously fake illusions, such as fake fire, water, Ice, fake creatures. It usually only creates these so that it can be the target of Kure-Ji's Human Manipulation Machine. When they are brought into existance, it is easy to tell that these creations do not belong in this world.

This, under your summon, strikes me as odd and a little bit stupid.

First off, the only thing other than this remotely cool about your summon is that it can't be hurt by attacks unless they hit it all at once. That puts it up to at LEAST chuunin level already. But you then add this, which for ANY OTHER PERSON IN THE WORLD would do nothing, and because of it's synergy with you, that makes it a Jounin rank summon?

I appreciate the attempt at fairness, but honestly, it's not good enough.

the Human Manipulation Machine is a worthy Kage level ability, but that's because it's at once limitless in the possibilities it can be used for, and simultaneously limited because of the limited illusions you can create. I think the worst it can do is give people really bad cuts and slashes with that one that makes them think you've cut them up.

With this, however, you can pretty much do anything, and I don't know why no one else went "wait...WHAT?" when they saw that. Jounin are cool, no doubt, but not that cool.

No summon exists simply to augment one person so perfectly, and if it does...well...do it differently. You character definitely needs a strong summon, because other than his wicked illusions, he's fairly vulnerable. Give him a respectable summon in some other way than this.

Also, for Human Manipulation Machine, I'd like to see something a bit more detailed. What about delusions? Will compulsions become real? Lets hope not...

Otherwise, cool beans.

Okay, Kakashi. I edited.

Thanks for the help. I understand that for all your harsh berating of my abilities, you're really just trying your hardest to create a fair village system that gives everyone an equal chance to have fun and be strong, and I don't begrudge your sometimes crude attitude at all.

I suppose you are looking for criticism, so here goes:

Quote:
Nine Mouths for No Cause: Let Jigoku Be the Judge of Fire and Reason

I'd like to know how long you can maintain the technique. If it's indefinitely then write that, if it's only for X amount of them, write that instead.

Quote:
Nine Mouths for No Cause: Let Jigoku Be the Judge of Fire and Reason

Does the user need to actually bite the object? Or is it acceptable if his teeth simply touch it? It would be an interesting/funny twist if this technique actually hurt the user by damaging the users teeth. I also would like to know how long this technique can be maintained. I can see the practical implications of being able to create 'fire' based weapons.

Quote:
Nine Mouths for No Cause: Let Jigoku Be the Judge of Fire and Reason

When you say it doesn't explode but that all fire affects apply, I assume you mean that it is going to do fire damage to the specific point it comes on contact with but will not spread the flames over a large range as an exploding fire ball would. My only question is: Does the attack take any sort of prep time? Must he breath in a lot of air before firing the projectile? Or can it just be launched like someone spitting out a ball of phlegm?

Quote:
Nine Mouths for No Cause: The Tar of Heaven is Far Sweeter Than the Bile of My Throat, But God Isn't Sharing

I assume by 'throw up' you are talking about vomiting. I don't even want to know what sort of thing this character could do to place him within distance of vomiting on his opponent. Also, stickyness would only be useful if the vomit was in contact with the bottom of an opponents feet. Perhaps you meant this as a sort of 'trap' technique?

Quote:
Summoning: Beast of Duress

I don't entirely understand this beast. You say he appears to be 2D when looked at from every angle. Does that mean that the Beast is in fact a 2D being? Or is the beast actual a 3D being that projects itself as a 2D being? If it actually is a 2D being, then any attacks from it would be completely pointless as the beast would only be able to move through it's current 2D plane of existence and wouldn't be able to stretch it's body parts through the 3rd dimension to attempt to harm an opponent. As far as killing it is concerned, it appears that the only ways to do so are through basic elemental attacks (lightning, fire, water, ice, etc) as those are the only real AOE techniques that can hit all points at once, excluding exploding tags, which I assume would not be powerful enough to do the damage required to take this beast down. I really don't know why the beast would "forgo this and take any attack it wishes.", especially in a battle situation.

Seems that the summon is kinda broken and can be used to make an absolutely unstoppable warrior against certain enemies.

Quote:
Poison Forever: Dream Manipulation Machine

Syntax error: "While the Poison Forever release jutsu are almost all genjutsu, this one is not."

So this technique allows the user to turn any Genjutsu into reality is what your saying? That's a little bit broken, especially if you teach the technique to people with sadistic tenancies. Imagine the effect if you were to put somebody into a Genjutsu in which they are battling one of the tailed-beasts. If you were to use this jutsu afterward you would literally be creating a tailed-beast. That's just broken as all ******** another horrifying situation: Somebody has a Genjutsu in which the opponent imagines themself being killed. But wait! They were just taught Poison Forever: Dream Manipulation Machine by the traveling teacher, suddenly they can use a Genjutsu to kill opponents without even having to make an attempt at fairness.

OH EXPLOITABLE!

Quote:
Shadow Clone

If you create a physical buushin, that means it's Ninjutsu not Genjutsu.

EXTRA: Because your arms are restrained, does that mean you will be preforming one handed seals if your hands don't happen to be lined up touching one another?

EXTRA 2: Half your techniques are Ninjutsu, but your Genjutsu score is significantly higher than your Ninjutsu, please attempt to balance these two out a bit more. I would allow you to drop your Taijutsu score down to 3 (make it effectively 2) and make your Genjutsu and Ninjutsu both 5.

EDIT: I assume you made this profile to see if we would spot the broken as ******** stuff in it? As somewhat of a test?

Good point! The veil would get in the way of all of the fire based ninjutsu techniques.
PostPosted: Fri Oct 23, 2009 2:01 pm

Maintained techniques:
Maintained techniques imply that they can be maintained for as long as the user has chakra to maintain them with. So yes, indefinitely. I'll add that.

The Fireball:
The fireball would take him breathing in a bit. At first I toyed with the idea of making the fire surround a glob of spit, but then I threw it out for something more conventional.

The Bile:
The range is something I'll have to add. It's probably about ten feet. The "Vomiting" word was more to articulate how he would sound and look. When viewed, it looks like retching up this bile is extremely painful.

Now, when I say stickiness, I mean that anything it touches becomes adhesive. So if a person gets hit in the torso and the person allows himself to rest his arm against it's side, he'll have to pull pretty hard to seperate his arm and his torso. In this manner, it's bothersome and restraining. Obviously this works on the ground as well.

The Beast:
The beast APPEARS 2d. This is just to fit in with the illusory nature of it's summoner and it. It is actually 3d.

The best would forgo it's defenses, becuase in the end, it only gets summoned to do one of two things: Act as a weapon, and defend it's summoner while he casts genjutsu. Unlike most summons, it has no jutsu capability at all. Take that into consideration.

Dream Manipulation Machine:
It's my Kage level ability. It will never be taught. I'm not sure if people are even allowed to teach jutsu above their level. If they are, that's neat. But Kage level do things like create cities and trap Kyuubi. Making Genjutsu, which can be resisted by people with high enough scores, real is on par with such things. I made it a Kage level jutsu, because that's the frightening power of Kages.

Hand seals: Kure-Ji is perfectly competant in hand seals. I thought about this earlier when I designed his outfit. He must use one handed seals while the jacket is on.

The veil lifts. When he spits a fireball, it flies out from the veil. It's supposed to be creepy.

Welcome to animu clothes. They work conveniently like that.

The score is level of skill, not number of jutsu. He uses many ninjutsu because they are useful, but his passion is genjutsu, and his powerful abilities all lie there.

And not entirely. I also made him because I wanted someone who could travel village to village and teach jutsu as well as let me have fun.
PostPosted: Fri Oct 23, 2009 2:06 pm

Mkay Kakashi, I just want you to make sure that you never add a Genjutsu that cause your Dream Manipulation to become too terribly broken. If you end up with a 2 jutsu combo that results in an unavoidable kill, that will not be acceptable.

And make sure you figure out the veil thing.
