I would actually recommend watching the Dragon Ball Z series from the start when Gohan is still a child. Lot of stuff to watch but an amazing story line.

1.) Dragonball anything for the most part. (recomend the Freiza saga)

My favorites right now are:
Fate (Stay Night)
Samurai Seven
Basilisk
Wolf's Rain
DBZ was one of my first anime's that I watched..and I pretty much watched it religiously (I watched others before that but didn't really follow them as much) I do agree the storyline is awesome...my only complaint were some of the shows were the would sit there for 10 minutes and talk smack to each other then fight, then stop and talk smack again for another 10 minutes, then fight again, then talk smack some more, then get ready to fight some more but then that episode was over. If I had owned DBZ I probably wouldn't have found that to be as much of an issue, but when I got all geared up to watch the new episode on TV only to not have much play out and have to wait another week to see if anything did happen...I was a little annoyed by this trait.

like John Smith, i truly love the Miyazaki movies i would add the tender real-world fantasy of Whispers of the Heart http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0113824/and something for those of us who share a certain age, Leaves of Autumn the manga i continue to buy are Fruits Basket, ALice 19th, and kare kano. i have the sets for Vision of Escaflowne, and Akira for serial anime, i have spent real money on Inuyasha, Cowboy Bebop, and Hime Chan no ribbon. i have enjoyed watched Wolf's Rain, Witch Hunter Robin, FMA, and GITSAC.

You all may laugh but my favourite is actually One Piece, Luffy is hilarious. I know of all the anime out there this one has one of the lamest artwork, but I watch to laugh not to critique.

Psh no ones laughing here. We are all a little old to be acting like kids... razz I have watched a few more animes sine this post started and Vampire night is still my personal favorite.. Zero is hawt! biggrin

luvmuffin 1.Inuyasha the final act, is good and new. 2.Ranma 1/2 3.The eyes of mars<- first anime i ever saw i have an Inuyasha action figure. problem is, he has interchangeable demon eyes, and white and black hair, and clawed demon hands and regular human hands and i am always losing his parts. oh and he has a huge honking sword very Freudian
