As in the title, how have your music tastes changed over time? What kind of music did you listen to when you were a kid?
I know that years ago I would listen to soft rock on the radio, like older stuff.
Eventually I started listening to newer stuff and liked the rock.
After I really got into rock, my taste kept getting harder, so that I now listen to metal.
Weird...

hmmm... lets see...
I have listened to punk when I was a kid...
then started listening to grunge...
then rock...
then metal...
and somewhere in between those the other genres I have come to like... 3nodding

well my taste in music has definatley changed cuz when i was little i listened to every childrens song they ever made xd

Well, let's see:
When I was a kid, I loved songs for kids! xD I had a disc of Donald Duck! xD
Then I begun to grow up, I wasn't much of music, when I got younger, I get into rock! But never too dip, my favorite (and until today) is Marilyn Manson. But also from Linking park to Slipknot! (you know, wanting to be evil! xD)
Well, I grow more up, and my brother took me to a rave party. And I became a fan of eletronic music, what I am till today. And here I begun with Psychedelic, then got tired and passed to progressive, then now I'm into eletrohouse, prog, minimal, more "worked" part of the eletronic, xD.
But if I listen to much of the same thing, I tend to vary, so I begun to listen to MPB (Música popular brasileira - Brazilian popular music) What is very good.
And today I love:
Marilyn Manson
Eletronic Music
MPB
And so on, what may please me, but I give preference to eletronic music.

When i was 5 to 11 i listened to alot of pop
From 11 to 13 i listened to alot of pop rock and some female frounted gothic metal bands
Then 14 to 16 my taste's began to broaden i listened to alot of various types of metal, rock, Dance, Trance, Classical, Industrial, EBM and a hell of alot of finnish bands
16 to 18 I started listening to everything and got into many different genres

I listened too alot of contury when i was younger plus this band named Outkast i dont know what genre they are but that was what i liked but i than i got into alot of rock punk music then i started listening too avril lavigne and i was crazy over her but as soon she divorced deyeck i was really disappointed and whos she dating now is also a bad choice so i didnt like her anymore and got addicted too Family force 5 there pretty much Crunkcore, Christian rock, Alternative rock, Post-hardcore, Rap rock they are a really mixed genre band thats what i like about them biggrin and the bonus is there christian and there music is packed with alot of postive party lyrics i think i started listening too more christian music and i know many christian bands biggrin

I grew up with a lot of Bluegrass influence. Once I hit High School I started to listen to some Classic Rock. Then after I came to college I started to listen to Jazz and Classical more.
Once you take a few semesters of music theory you start to expect a little more out of the music you listen to; which I'm grateful for, but it was easier to find music I could enjoy when I was ignorant of that information. xp
