Yet another story idea i dreampt up overnight to add to my never-ending aresnal of writings to write...tell me what u think! Rate & Reveiw plz xd
I was sound asleep when I heard a loud crash from outside our tiny clay house. “You idiot!” a voice snarled from outside. The hammerings got louder and faster. I ran to Mother’s bedside. “Mother, what’s happening?” I cried. Her body was covered in large swollen boils that oozed a yellowish fluid. “She wheezed and gagged as she tried to sit up in the bed. “Mother, no you have to lie down!” I pleaded, but she pushed me aside and staggered to the front door.
I ran to father’s room to wake him. “Father, something’s happening…” he didn’t stir. His eyes gazed endlessly up at the ceiling, his oozing sores that covered his purplish-black skin vomited the yellowish fluid that also ran from his mouth. I leaned over his body and gently closed his eyelids. “Goodbye, Father.” I kissed him on the forehead and left to help Mother.
“No, she’s not sick! Don’t lock her in here!” Mother cried as she pounded the door with her weak blistering fists. As I got closer I realized that the door was wide open, but a wall was in place of where the fresh winter air was supposed to swarm into the house. “Mom, what’s going on?” I cried. She did not answer me, but ran to the kitchen window and opened the wooden shutter. “Quickly, Ever, out the window!” She wheezed. I didn’t question her orders. In one smooth bound I leaped onto the counter and stuck my head out the dark window, only to meet a brick in the face. I fell back off the counter. Blood gushed from my face just over my eye. “She is only 16! She isn’t infected! Let her live, I’m begging you!”
Stones began pouring in through the window at Mother. I hopped up an swiftly lifted her sickly body and carried her to her room. I could hear the bricks piling on one after the other, slowly encasing us to die a slow and horrid death in our own bile and vomit. Mother wept and moaned. Her discolored yellowish skin bled from the stones and brick that had burst her boils into heaps of blood and puss. “It’s ok Mother, I am proud to die a daughter of Jolan Lasting in this house.” I said as I washed her fleshy skin, black in some spots like over sized bruises. She winced and moaned in pain. “Those God-forsaken people! I curse them and their children to an eternal hell!” She murmured through her teeth. “Calm down, Mother. That isn’t good for your health.” I pleaded. She said nothing. “Leave me alone and see to your own wound.” She moaned through her teeth as she tried to turn over in bed. I left her room and closed the door.
I lay in bed that night, my head pounding from the brick that had hit me leaving an enormous gash from the corner of my left eye slanting just over my eyelid and through the center of my brow. Every tear-filled blink sent a new sensation of pain through my face. Images of my father’s decaying body as I wrapped him in sheets to keep the little bit of air that had been walled in with us from being foul. Images of my mother sweating and panting, wheezing and constantly crying of pain through the night as her body decayed slowly from the inside out flashed through my mind. I tried to shake the images from my mind and think of something else. What would we eat tomorrow? I wondered. I had planned to go to the market in the morning, but those blasted men! How dare they wall us in like this! Fury built in my mind as I wondered whether starvation would kill me before that horrid plague or if the Black Death would reach me first.

Days went by as the air in our little house began to engulf the foulness of my father's corpse. The dead air did not help my mother's condition either, she passed away after two weeks in the dark foul room.
I lay day after day in my little corner of our one room shack. Days turned into weeks and weeks into months. Today marked the third month of my solitude in the dark, damp corpse-tainted room. I was only seconds from the insanity of decaying parents, darkness, and hunger. My body longed for fresh air it would never breath, light it would never see, food it would never eat.
Four months into starvation and I went mad. There was nothing left in the house that had not been destroyed, nothing that hand not been turned over and mauled to pieces. I prayed that someone would realize that I was still alive, but no one cared. No one remembered the little shack on the hill, no one remembered the man who had helped build this town with his very own hands, or the woman who cared for all the children in the town, or the daughter who would rip out their souls if she ever saw the light of day again.
I had lost count after five months. There was no air left to breath in the room and I had eaten all the wood and cardboard in the house and even my own clothes. Why God had kept me alive was a mystery I would never understand. I would sell my soul to the devil if it meant leaving this place, hell had to have been a step up from this torment.
I felt as though I starved to death every passing night, as though I had suffocated in that airless room every night, as if my eyes had melted into the world of blindness that grew darker every night. I had died for the last time in this enless cycle of life. I ran to the pile of blackened sheets where the rotting flesh of my father had lay. Without hesitation I began to tear into what remained of his flesh, tearing through every rotten blister down to the core of his rotten heart where I devoured that too. His tiny body was not enough to settle my raging hunger that grew the more I ate. I ran uncontrollably to the tightly bundled corpse of my mother and began to eat through the cloth and into her rotten soggy black flesh. The flavor of her flesh was of no paralell. She was much fresher than my father had been, blood still sat inside her heart as I endulged in the succulant feast.
I hesitated when the only meat left on her bones was her face. I couln't eat her face, but I couldn't bring myself to stop at her face as I had with my father, so I turned her pile of stripped blodied bones over and cracked open her skull. The smell that poured out nearly turned me mad as I sank my teeth into her skull, ripping away at bone to get to the tantalizing flesh beneath, preserved in its fullness by her skull. Inhuman groans fell from my lips as I bore into her brain, the rich flavor filling my belly with a grand satisfaction I had never felt in all my years of life. I finished her all to quickly. I sprinted back to my father and cracked open his skull with a single bang of my fist and devoured the decayed organ beneath it.
I sat in my corner, satisfied from my meal, but horrified at my deed. I began to wail and cry as inhuman sounds passed from my throat and filled my ears. I had disgraced my family. Long after I was dead and someone found my corpse they would know what I had done. I faint scent halted me mid-wail as it grew closer and closer. The smell was far more deliciouse than what I had just devoured of my parents heads. No, this was something far more mouthwatering--fresh. I could hear the footsteps of men hiking up the hill dragging tools behind them. They were coming to tear down my wall. The smell of the food they carried overrode my joy of freedom. I sat balled in a corner, surpressing my erge to tear through the walls and devour the food they carried with them, but I knew that if they knew I was still alive, they would leave and never return.
I rocked silently back and forth as hammers crashed into the brick. I could hear the men as they searched the property in hopes of finding my father's stash of gold that was rumored to be hidden here, but I didn't care, all I wanted was food. It was as if I had never eaten the flesh of my parents, my bowls were as empty as if I hadn't eaten since the day I was walled in this horrid place. I rocked faster and faster as the hammerings grew louder and more violent when suddenly the far wall came crashing down and light brighter than three thousand suns together poured in completely blinding me.
I was stunned, the light had frozed me in place. My body had locked up. I sat there like a stone, still blinded by the light as the fresh air pured in through the whole. I took a deep breath of the fresh air, so fresh that it burned in my chest, then I smelled it. As if a mountain had fell from the skies and crashed into my face, a scent so delectably irresistable burned throughout my body stinging my nostrils causing my to be lightheaded and dizzy. Then my body picked itself up, without my telling it to, and through itself out of the cottage and into the blinding light.
All I could hear were the sounds of demons wailing gnashing as screams of men cried out. I couldn't see a thing, the thousand suns still blinding my crusted eyes. My body moved swiftly with such agile grace, but I could't tell where it was going or what it was doing, all I knew was that it was bringing my the succulent flavor of the food the men had carried and that was all I cared about.
I was happier than I had ever been since the day of my birth. I ate and ate, the hunger in me dying by the mouthfuls. The bright haze began to clear from my eyes. I could feel the cool water below my feet as I ate. Water. How long had it been since I drank water and not the mud that crept into the hut after rain? I bent to take a drink as I forced my body to release the food it held in its mouth. But as I bent to drink a horrible creature leaped at me from the water. I turned and ran as hard as my body would carry me, down to the city where I could escape. "Help me!" I screamed as I ran through the city, chilling scream flying by as I ran. I didn't look back at the creature chasing me, I just ran. I kept running throughout the city, but men and women alike ran to save themselves fromt he creature that chased me. A peeked a quick glance over my shoulder to see if I had our ran it, but there was nothing there.
I crouched in my spot, my head between my legs and cradled myself as tears streamed from my dry eyes. Images of the long sharp bloodied teeth, claws reaching out the grab me, black decayed flesh of the demon in the water filled my mind when I felf an immense pain shoot through my right shoulder. I wailed at the pain and fell to my face. "It's the Lasting girl! She's a monster come to seek revenge!" voices cried from alleys and windows all around me. "I'm not a monster! I'm Ever! I'm Ever Lasting!" Screaching wails sounded in my ears instead of the words I meant to say. Another arrow shot through my side as I fell to my back cursing in a strange wail that was foreign to me.
Knives and spears and arrows began to stab me all over until I couldn't move, nets harnessed my to the ground to where I couldn't escape. Why would God let me suffer for nearly half a year to let it end now? I questioned. In my last glimpse of consciousness I looked into the tear drops that had gathered in the road beneath me. That's when I saw the monster that had been in the water, he wore the same horrified look as I did, was stabbed in all the same places as I was, wore the same Lasting heirloom as mine. I drifted into darkness and so did my reflection.

yes, but more graphic than scary. you could've gone into less detail about the brain eating. That along with the rest of the story, I really did have trouble sleeping.

zombie? i never made that connection. I just thought she was a girl who was trapped in a house and was forced to cannibalism. That's all i picked up from this, but the zombie ideais definately interesting. I finally ot the time to get back on gaia. Anthem and Eclipse have had me trapped.

Anthem and Eclipse have had me trapped. ya, it will become more clear that she is a zombie when i get to the part where she has to sleep underground and comes up at night and other things like that. im still trying to develop how all of this unfolds. Yes, the Twilight series has its goods and bads, but even i had a hard time putting them down to do other things. Anthem? is that a book that I might be interested in??? (in need of a good read)

Cool, I'm interested now. I'm almost done with the edits to Lucky XIII Btw. Anyway Anthem is a good book. If you've read The Giver when you were younger, it's a communist society a lot like that and you can ignore the rest of this post. Still here? Damn... Alright, Anthem is a book by Ayn Rand. Everyone is equal, no one is better than annother. Everyone is given a label. THe protagonist is named Equality 7-2521. There's annother person named Union 5-3992, annother named International 4-8818, and so on. Everyone spends 15 years in school, then is assigned a job and spends the rest of their life doing that. They live a life that is free from all forms of technology greater than the candle and almost everyone is happy. Equality 7-2521 is a street sweeper who discovers technology from thousands of years ago(from the late 1900s) and uses it to create a lightbulb. He shows it to some scholars and is sent to jail. That's as far as I've gotten, and I love it.
