Hello everyone. This thread is so that we can all discuss the details of the Pokedex and come to a common agreement on what it does and does not do. I have received questioning statements from more than one of you so I have made this thread to settle things once and for all.
First off, this is my current view on the Pokedex as it pertains to the RP.
The Pokedex is a red, hand-held, flip open, multifunctional device that fits into most any pocket. It has a screen capable of showing both moving and still images as well as displaying text. There are many many buttons for many features.
-First off the Pokedex is your form of identification. The act of receiving your Pokedex also involves it being registered to you. This means a photo of you, your name, and home town are permanently saved to the Pokedex which cannot be changed or tampered with. This however is simply a given and does not need to be typed unless you want to. It is assumed this has happened for everyone.
-Secondly, the Pokedex is an already complete list of every known Pokemon. There are currently 493 known Pokemon and the Pokedex has an entry for them all. You do not need to scan a Pokemon to complete it as you do in the video games.
-There is however, a feature where it tells you how many out of 493 Pokemon you have seen. In the RP at this current moment Almus has seen a Gastly, Scyther, Bidoof, and Tailow since he got his Pokedex. That means his Pokedex would tell him he has seen 4/493 Pokemon. You do not have to keep track or even mention this feature's existence unless you want to.
-Every Pokedex comes with a long ranged sensor designed so that if you point the front of your Pokedex (the front being where the sensor is) at a Pokemon it will automatically scroll through it's database until it finds the Pokemon and then it will give you information about it.
-However, since the Pokedex is already complete, there is a feature to scroll through all the Pokemon in the Pokedex's database by your choice of Pokedex number, alphabetically, or an on screen keyboarded search feature. This can be done even if there is not a Pokemon in front of you to scan. Much like you don't need an apple in your hand to look "Apple" up in the encyclopedia.
-As for what information the Pokedex has for each Pokemon, it holds any information that you can find about a Pokemon on the site Psypokes which can be found here. This link can also be found in the rules. On Psypokes you can find a picture of any Pokemon both shinny and not, physical information like type and height and foots etc, the Pokemon abilties, weaknesses and strengths, evolution information, a listing of every Pokedex description that Pokemon has had in every single game, locations, level up moves, Egg/Breeding moves, tutored moves, TM moves, Pokemon stats, happiness, natures, and much much more. It is all there on the site, and in my opinion your Pokedex should have all of that information for you to look up at just the flick of a button as well.
Ok that's all I can think of at the top of my head. Who has a problem with any of the above or what else do you think the Pokedex should have? Please be very detailed in your response and please say why.

New additions.
-The Pokedex is water proof, shock proof, flame resistant, and crush resistant.
-Eh, I don't really like the idea of the Pokedex being any color than traditional red but I'll allow it. From now on, the outside cover of the Pokedex can be any single color that you want.
