I think there should be a rule where non-active users with 0 posts should automatically be eliminated after "X" days. Joining guilds and not posting is super common, and well... yeah, it's just extra unnecessary pointless carriage (more like member spam). Maybe not eliminate them now, because people are less tempted to join guilds with 4-6 users (even if they are all active). But once we get more users I think we should put some sort of rule like this.
Opinions?
Also maybe try invites. I invited 10 people from the Fashion forum of gaia, although it seems some joined but don't post -_-. So eliminating them I think would be ... wise. At least later.

Yes, I was thinking of doing this, but I was initially afraid of eliminating users who could be potentially helpful to this guild. I've been inviting ten people almost every other day, and it just seems that with such an interest-based guild, it's hard to find members who will join and be active in at least one aspect of the guild.
I would really like to find a good number of very active members because I want to do some fashion-oriented competitions, not just TekTeks. It would be very involved. And as you probably saw in the "fashion blog" thread I made, we are considering producing an e-magazine that is oriented around fashion. Even if those members could only post frequently on weekends, that would be wonderful.
Currently, we are on the last page of the fashion guild list due to low activity. I would really like to see our guild on the first page, of course, but even if we could just move it up slowly I'd be pleased.

I'm a little bit self-taught advanced with photoshop. I can at least make people prettier with it lol. And a few banners. I might be able to help a little bit, although I won't beat anyone who studied it lol. Anyways I'll go around and invite a few more people who might be interested. I mean the least we could do is randomnly invite. Those few who DO join and post we won't eliminate and one final "elimination sweep" we can have in the future when the guild is spammed by useless members. (:
Edit: Too bad they don't have to pay when invited. Loll.

I've been meaning to be more active... I was excited about this guild, because it seemed more serious.
I want to do some tutorials, but don't know where to start. Any suggestions on what you guys would most like to know?

We do hope to be a more serious guild! smile
Tutorials would be awesome! What do you specialize in -- design, sewing, both, or something else?

I can do it all! I design, illustrate, drape, pattern make, sew, oversee production...
I am currently working in the industry. I wish to be a useful resource for you guys who are thinking about going to college, are in college, or whatever.

Yes, please! I haven't done any professional work, but I'm more than interested in getting work experience in any aspect of the industry, from design and production to journalism and advertising. I've been developing a portfolio, and I'd love to get more involved in the industry in any way. I've also been looking for any work experience and internships as I can find. Have we already a thread in the Gaia Guilds public sub-forum? We can also create some Threadbanger-like DIY tutorials.

I'll compile a list of active people in the guild in my sig. Not many currently, though, since it's kinda dead as of late.

That's all companies want to hire.
