ok so today i was helping out at this ride called Debi's ride in my motorcycle club and it was for the mariposa foundation, a foundation created by parent and doctors to help the families of kids who have cancer. i heard a story from the president. it was about a little boy who had cancer. are u ready, cuz its sad. now mariposa also holds picnics and other things to raise money. at one of these a little boy won a scavenger hunt and got a little cheap trophie. he loved that trophy. he slept with it close to him and carried it around with him everywhere. a month later, he was dying. he held onto that little trophy until the very end. when he finally went blind, he still held onto it. today that trophy is a reminder of him to his family. they continue to come to the picnics and motorcycle events still. it is a great comfort to them to know that they are not alone in what they are feeling. they walked away with many good friends who understand what they went through. sad, huh? but in a way, the mariposa foundation helped make that little boy a lot happier, and, after he was gone, his parents too. i would like you to maybe help make a donation to the foundation, or if not you, your parents. it is a small foundation and they can use every penny. tell your friends and family about it. tell everyone.
