The Costumed Avenger:
The costumed avenger is the down and gritty lone wolf, the more human super hero using his wits and guile along with superb training to get by and protect the streets. While not as powerful as some of his/her other super counter parts the avenger excels their foes by being far more clever.

Strengths:
The costumed avenger is clever and has access to a plethera of cheap gadgets making them have a tool for many different situations. They are very good at investigating crime scenes and having the contacts to find out about their foes. They should be played intelligently, learning a foes strengths and weaknesses and then exploiting them with a gadget or clever invention.

Weaknesses:
The costumed avenger IS a normal human despite what their foes might think about them once they confront them. That said they are not as fast as the speedster, not as tough as the brute, not as strong as the paragon, or anything else. They take a hit and they usually feel it hard, rather they MUST rely on preparation time before they fight for being taken off guard or running in head first is usually a death sentence for this arc-type.

A canister of sleeping gas sits within the "Costumed Avengers Fist of Vengeance". One spray of this highly toxic gas and it's lights out for most dirty foe's that dare oppose the Costumed Avenger.
A foe that fails a save by 1-4 against this becomes fatigued, if they fail by 5-9 they become exhausted, if they fail by 10 or more they go unconscious immediately.

The fist of Vengeance can obscure a 10ft area, making it impossible to see with near any sort of visual sense. Every round that passes though it looses 1 rank, going from 5ft to nothing and stays stationary (this means independent will be pointless until the powers rank is increased, but gives the avenger a quick smokescreen for one round) starting at a 5ft radius from the costumed avenger (10ft diameter). However if the costumed avenger is knocked out for some reason the power will stay until it's ranks reach 0 as it is sustained independently of the costumed avenger.
