This is for Sorrah and Shackel (maybe another character from the life story im working on if i decide to include it) for the time they first meet in 1932!

Sorrah and the cop that was assigned to make sure she didn't run away, walked across a small lawn to a big house that they happened to pass by. "Un-hand me this instant! I dont need to be held onto if i WANT to find a home in this cruddy country!" Sorrah yelled as the man held onto her arm and pulled to towards the house. "You are going to co-operate, or you will be put back in jail! Which do you prefer??" Sorrah growled at the man and let him lead her to the door. The man looked around the yard and shook his head. He finally knocked on the door, waiting to see if anybody still lived in the old building.

Shackel looked up from his cup of tea. Odd.. I don't get visitors around this time. Setting his cup down he got up and buttoned his jacket. Fixing his cuffs before he got to the door, he opened it to find a girl and a police officer. "May I help you two?" He asked as he fully opened the door and stepped out on to the front porch.

Sorrah looked up at the man who opened the door. "You can help me by taking me back to England so i dont have to deal with this!" She said with an agravated tone. "No he won't! He will help you by letting you stay here! You must remember, you got KICKED OUT, BANNED,YOU ARE NO LONGER WELCOME!" He said to her. Sorrah rolled her eyes, "This is why i don't deal with Americans...They like to rub stuff into my face and treat me like sh--" The officer yanked her towards the man at the door. "Please help me out and Take her in...She's a pain in every officers neck! Already 5 officers had to go home with broken necks, legs, arms, and....I wont mention the last part.." He shivered at the thought.

"And by what orders am I to take her with?" Shackel didn't want any house guests, as he still had quite the mess in his house to clean up. He stood erect as he waited for the mans answer.

The officer walked up to the man. "Look, I know how strict you are, I've seen you before, you're the only one who can keep that chaotic girl in check and make her stop kneeing cops where it hurts.." He said the last part in a squeak. Sorrah chuckled, the man snapped his head to her in anger. Sorrah frowned and looked away. "Anyway, Please for once, do us all a favor and keep her away from us!" He said to the man. Sorrah clapped her hands. "Nice speech! Now...How much you wanna bet he wont take me in?" She said with a smile, and daring eyes.

During the mans little speech, Shackel placed his black gloves on his hands, as it was a bit nippy out side. "I agree with her, nice speech..." He then took the back of his hand and smack the girl really hard on the side of the face. "Fine... but do not come back for her." He stepped in between the man and the girl, facing the man. "Am I understood?"

Sorrah touched her face in shock, she then glared at the man and growled. The officer burst out laughing, "Haha! You dont have to tell me twice! Thank you so much!" He then waved at Sorrah and turned to walk away. Sorrah ran to the officer and grabbed his leg, he dragged her on the ground. "No, no, no! Dont leave me here, please! I beg of you! I change my mind! Take me to prison I dont care! As long as im not here!!" The man shook her off and ran away leaving her on the ground. "DAMN YOU!!" She called after him.

Shackel gave a sigh. I am not a damn baby sitter! He walked down the steps and grabbed the girl by the collar. Picking her up he brought her in the house. Closing the door he let her down. "Come on..." Shackel stuck his hands in his pockets and walked into the house some. His shoes making the clicking sounds on his nice hard wood floors.

Sorrah sat up on the floor and crossed her arms. "No thank you..." She said to the man. She took her bags from the door and put it next to her, she then turned and lied her head on her bags, looking at the ceiling.

Shackel stopped abrutly and turned around. His eyes narrow. "That was not an option!" He said softly but with all seriousness and power in it.

"I think im just gonna stay here.....That wasnt an option either.." Sorrah gave a sigh and relaxed on the floor. "Nice place you got here...Could be fixed up a little though.." She said with a laugh. She crossed her legs and looked at the man, waiting for him to go off like everyone else.

"I am going to eat lunch. If you do not come, you will wait till tomorrow to have any food. As I said the come was not an option." Shackel turned back around, ignoring her comment on his house and headed down the hall, slow enough in which he wouldn't make it to the kitchen before the girl had time to reply.

Sorrah sighed. "You're lucky i'm starving..." She got up and followed the man. She crossed her arms and looked at the floor, she didn't want to be there. But it wasnt like she had a choice now that the cop left because he was too scared to take her anywhere else.

Sure.. play along.. damn girl.. Shackel had a less then amused look on his face. He turned into his kitchen with the girl behind him. "I am not lucky... I do not think there is such a thing as luck." Shackel himself knew that you could not rely on such a pathetic thing in which you couldn't control. He took his hands out of his pockets, and took off the gloves, in which he placed inside his jacket pocket. He then started to shuffle around the kitchen, making two sandwiches. Fresh cut bread and meat, along with many side items. "Build it yourself." He said as he finished placing everything out in the middle of the kitchen. Taking a seat himself, he started to build a sandwich. Bread, meat, lettuce, tomato, more meat, a little mayo and at last he laid on the last piece of bread.
