The fists that bruise
as deep as my heart

You push me
closer to the edge

The scars hidden
behind faked happiness

I’m falling
deeper into the darkness

What did I do to deserve this?
What made me so unworthy?

What you do is wrong
making me feel so alone

All this pain
will haunt me

But I won't give up
I won't give in

I know that something
causes you to act this way

It’s not my fault
it's not me

So why do you do it?
Why do you hurt me?

To make yourself feel better
to make yourself feel more powerful

All you are doing
is destroying a possible friend

So stop
stop putting me down

And think about it
what will this do?

How will it affect me?
How will it change me?

I don't want to change
I want to be me

I don't want to worry
about people like you

Making my life harder
than it already is

I want to live my life
to the fullest

I don't want a shadow
following me

Weighing me down
putting pressure on me

So give it up
and move on
