Pairing: Night and Clover


Clover slowly approached a sleeping child that was all wrapped up nice and snug in a warm blanket. “It seems so peaceful” she whispered to Night. Night sighed. He knew the true nature of the sleeping little bundle of joy and wished they were already on their way. But knowing how Clover gets when she is in one of her exploring moods, he thought it was best to get her away from the child before she accidentally wakes him up. Night tried his hardest to silently pull her back but Clover was determined to get closer.

When Clover was about arms length away from the baby, the store’s front door swung open so fast it could have out ran a bullet. Two young griffins raced in the store, followed by their mother who was trying to wrangle them in. Dashing straight to the costume section they began rummaging through everything. Clover watched with fright as the two terrors pulled objects off the shelf one by one and either played a game of catch or simply disposed of the shop’s merchandise as if it was nothing but garbage. The childrens’ mother was frantically picking up objects off the floor and trying to bribe her children to behave. Shouting at the top of their lungs, they argued about what their mother was going to buy them for their treat because they were being good at the store today. “If this is good,” Night thought, “I hate to be around for bad.” Suddenly the children decided it would be fun to play a game of tug of war with a skeleton skull decoration that lights up. The poor skull would be lucky if it ever worked after the two of them were finished with it.

Disturbed from his peaceful sleep, the baby awoke with a shriek that would make any horror actress proud. The wailing of the baby on top of the loud, obnoxious demons was enough to make any normal Griffin cringe in terror. Clover jumped back into Night trying to put some distance from the demonspon who, as if hearing the cries of their young brethren, were now moving in their direction. Night wasted no time in grabbing Clover and dashing outside. Once safely outside, Clover could not resist a quick glance back inside. When she did, she saw the children approach the baby and her mind filled up with all the possible horrible outcomes of this meeting. Clover spun around to face Night so fast she almost lost her balance. “Why would anyone want one!?! Are they mad?!”
