Of all the villans throughout the planes, one has decended upon the Marked Lands....a strong hold of military strenghth pushed forward by the power of King Lydon and his new found world combining the powers of the Awakened and the Humans left after the war....this is Nayana Shymani's tower....and she isn't from around here....Faerun's dread mistress has come to our world.....and she is madder then hell. Manic felt the rock of the tower and stumbled a little, holding the flaming blades out to keep her balance. As the tower repositioned itself, she looked at the bleeding form of Kalintria with a smile. "Oi...you shouldn' of done that....shouldn't of done it mate...." She felt a little dizzy, the same way she had when she'd used Neo's transporter.Quick foot steps came down the stairs, "Its the Bastion...I can see the Bastion Manic. We're back....Its the Marked Lands" Sane called out as she skidded to a halt in the door of the room. The scene that greeted her was not at all what she expected. The bleeding form of the elf, the mage on the floor pulling the thongs of the flail from around her neck, and Manic standing with her two flaming blades out at her side, "What happened?" she asked, eyes wide."They are trying to kill eachother...." Virgil had his hand to his head, leaning his shoulder against a book shelf. He was trapped in the confines of his mind, discussing the next course of action with the minotaur; pleading for the ability to aid his fallen lover"Spatial shift..." Nayana brought herself to her feet casting an angry look at Manic, "I should kill you where you stand." "No magic mate. I'd like to see you try."Nayana brought her hand up grabbing Manic roughly, "Those beads wouldn't have survived the transport over....." a smile crossed her face, "The magic is back." The fingers of her claw began to weave the unseen forces of magic, pulling and pushing the threads of the Art, making the tapestry of a spell. Dark words escaped her lips as she casted Vampiric Touch....absorbing the girl's natural energies....the same way Sane did for her alchemy. Sane watched with horrified interest as manic fell to her knees with the touch and then dropped the blades and fell the the floor...

Kalintria dropped to the floor upon the final trembles of the tower. She dropped her sword and dagger, and clasped her hands firmly over her wound. 'The magic is back.' Blessed words for Kalintria to hear. She spared not a glance for the others as she moved, with quite a bit of pained moans, so she was propped up on one hand and held the other over her wounded side. Blinking through the pain, she concentrated herself on positive healing energy as she Cured her wound. Almost instantly her pain subsided and she could breathe much easier. She then quickly cast Mending on her dress to sew up the cut in the fabric that Manic's blades had caused.

The edges of the world blurred as she tried to bring her head up to look at Sane. They eyes were slightly unfocused but knowing how Manic looked after she used alchemy, tapping the pirates natural bio energy to fuel the circles with power, it just seemed like she was drained, "What did you do to her?" immediately the alchemist was on her knees cradling her partner's head in her lap and looking up at Nayana. "I took her health..." The mage stood tall and threw the pieces of the flail at Manic, which landed like torn intestines on her stomach. Sane reached out a hand to grab the favored weapon, looking at the long pieces of leather and wrapping into coils, "Why?" Nayana raised a brow as she walked over to one of her many mirrors, used for various spells, turning her back to the people in the room she began to inspect her neck, the blood dipping from the wounds in tiny streamlets. She was going to leave the question unanswered, as it seemed pointless to address her reasons when she was in her own tower. Sane sighed...she knew pressing the matter with the mage was worthless, and decided to give her attention to Manic, who seemed to need it. She shook the girl's shoulder, "Manic....come on get up.... We're back home." It was a happy voice, full of excitement yet tinged with concern. Virgil was finally free of the minotaurs words, as it seemed the battle was over. He moved to Kalintria's side, "Are you alright darlin?"
Aislin had positioned the piece of metal over her eye with a sigh as she finished washing her face. The image she saw in the mirror showed her age....she seemed so old today. Bags under her eyes looked as if she had gotten ready for a trip to Bermuda. She knew Inder would be coming in to check on her soon enough, as she had finished another Marking today. Her Sheild was the only one who seemed concerned with her human side, away from the benevolance that the rest of the people seemed to believe fueld everything she did. Sure enough as if on queue, there was a knock on the door. "Aislin? Are you doing okay?" "Yes Inder...I'm well-" As it was said, an alarm sounded, the lights blinking behind Inder from the corner of the cottage that had been awarded to the small family. T.O.N.N. sounded in a loud looping electronic voice, EMERGENCY. ALL MILTARY PERSONEL REPORT TO POSTS. THIST IS NOT A DRILL! Inder looked up and then at Aislin once again, "Lets go." he said with a nod to her before starting off at a run to the door of the cottage. She sighed and adjusted her eyepiece again as she walked for the door, "SIMON! SETH! Lets go!" She called out, and followed behind Inder, heading towards the main building of the Bastion.

Kalintria examined the now mended side of her dress and was pleased with her work. She looked up at Virgil with a smile and a nod, "Yes I am fine." She picked herself up from the floor and scooped up her sword and dagger. She sheathed her sword on her belt and then reached under her dress to place her dagger back on her thigh, with a wink at Virgil. She fixed her dress back into place, and stood up straight, looking to Nayana. "Are you okay, Nayana?" Not sure if she would get an immediate response, she began assessing what condition the room and everyone was now in.

She let out a long sigh before looking at Kalintria in the relfection of the mirror, "I'm fine." She touched her fingers to one of the wounds and pulled away blood then moved to the now mostly spilled basin of water she had washed her bloodied hands in before. Manic's stirred, "The Marked Lands?" "Yes...right outside...I can see the Bastion....we're back!" Sane helped her partner into a sitting position. With her hand to her head Manic rose as quickly as her body would allow, she felt weak as if she had some illness. "Damn....i'm so tired...." With the help of Sane, they made it to the railing of the balcony, and looked out over the city they new, "Oh my God....it's Enavor...." She smiled and looked at her partner, the weariness forgotten as the familiar feel of the dry air and the smell of the city mixed with a lingering scent of eucalyptus came to her, she looked at her partner, "Its...how did we get here?" "The mage had said it was a spacial shift....like a major transport..." They could hear the sirens of the Bastion echoing over the tops of the roofs to their ears. "Ah...." she pulled out her cigarettes and lit one, "This is...so perfect..." she takes a drag off her smoke"Oi mate, but its good to be home....." "Yeah" Sane looked at the Bastion in the distance and a real smile tugged at her mouth. "Yeah."
Virgil took in the eyefull of Kalintria's leg, reminded of their roll in the mage's bedroom. Then it occured to him that the teens seemed rather happy considering all that had happened; he looked out the door to the balacony, and sure enough the scene that was displayed was hardly that of the citadel, "Where are we?" "According to the children, that would be The Marked Lands..." She turned to look out the doorway. "I'm getting tired of these transports..." she growled more to herself then anyone else, hoping in vain that a certain devil husband would hear her.
The Eye, Reader, and Sojourn stood infront of the company facing the troops. Aislin had handed over the report of a strange black tower appearing on Enavor street. Not forming but just appearing, taking up the space of an empty warehouse to her son Seth, who was a master at this type of planning. Though the younger her two children, he was the most able to handle the military planning in these situations. She nodded towards him to tell him to start. "We don't need all these troops to do what we need to do; mother." Seth said with contempt; never turned his eyes from the troops to look at her, as he took a step forward ready to address the assembled mass. "The control room got scared...its not like and Awakend pulled the tower up from the ground....it just appeared...they wanted to make sure we could defend ourselves if this was a new attack." She smiled at him hoping he would calm down, she knew she was still in her perefrial vision. Simon who had stood on the other side of his brother looked over the gap left by the boys step forward to his mother, "He'll probably have the three of us go and find out what happened." he stated as Seth began to explain the plan for the tower "Four of us...." Inder smiled as he mounted the dias.

Kalintria watched Manic and Sane hobble out to the balcony. Her own wooziness from the wine all but forgotten. She reached up to fix her golden locks, and retwirl a few hair pins. Then she stepped over to her wounded friend. "Nayana, do you need me to heal you?" she asked eyeing the blood traveling down her neck. She reached her hand only halfway up towards Nayana's neck. "You may need all your strength and power in this foreign land."

Nayana nodded and looked at her friend, "You owe me for that spell you cast.....I guess this will have to be payment enough..." She sighed deeply and watched as Manic and Sane stood looking out at the city. "For the record...do not ever cast magic against me again." The tone held a warning note in its words, as if the import of the phrase itself were hardly warning enough. "You did stain her dress miss Nayana..." "And I’m sure the two of you stained my sheets as well, but I didn't burn you alive; although the though had crossed my mind several times." She cast a venom laden stare at Virgil, begging him to continue his stupidity so she could tear his spinal column out his throat and beat him with it after setting the length of his structure on fire.

She stepped closer to Nayana, so she could reach her wounds. She lowered her voice so that only Nayana could hear. "Dear friend... you forget that I meant you no harm. Solitary seems to have hardened you. Amongst a friend, you should be trusting. I have held your life in my hands, and still you know you can trust me with it. I will always stand at your side and protect you. I give you my word."
Kalintria put her hand up to Nayana's neck. She bowed her head so she could see Virgil over her shoulder. She had a slight grin on her face as she winked at Virgil. She Cured Nayana's neck wounds, and lowered her hand as she raised her head to look at Nayana again. "There see, no harm done to all. It is nice to have a cleric around, is it not?" The grin was still on her face.

"It certainly is a change of pace...." she sighed and roughly moved away from the elf, making her way to her desk, removing the resting Szerszen from her neck and putting him on his bed of gold. "I wonder how much damage has been done to the technology..." she reached out and pushed down a pannel on the top of her desk as she sat in the chair. A screen rose from the gap the pannel left behind, a nice flat screen unit. She pulled the keyboard drawer out and began to type, slowly. Search and rescue style but still typing. And more focused then she was even with magic. It was comical, a terrifying mage in robes, with a devil's mark on her cheek, typing like an old woman presented with the technology for the first time. "That is just sad...." Virgil said off handedly before realizing he had spoken aloud. Luckily Nayana's attention was entirely on keeping the computer running. He looked at Kalintria, "Well....while she runs a diagnostic on the entire tower's system, what would you like to do?"
"Hmm....I should go get Black....." Manic looked at her partner and sighed. "yeah." "Do you think we can keep dodging The Eye mate?" "Yeah....i mean we don't really need to." "You don't but I do mate....I'm an Awakened remember? Even if i can't stand the thought of it....I am...." "Yes....but I put those circles on your shoulders, so no one would know." "She would......Yeah we'll be alright. I wonder if the house is still standing....." "I don't know....go get black and white and we'll check it out." She offered up a smile. Manic nodded and flicked the cigarette into the courtyard before turning and heading through the door into the office. She barely spared a glance for anyone in the room as she began to head up the stairs towards where black had been sent to bed with white, leaving Sane to stand on the balcony and take in the look of the city. It was just how they'd left it....

Kalintria stared at Nayana as she tinkered with the odd devices that appeared out of her desk. Her head slowly was tilting to one side before she realized it. When she heard Virgil she snapped her head back up and turned around to face him. "Oh! Hmm..." She watched Manic pass up the stairway, and then walked gracefully over to the door to the balcony. She placed one hand timidly on the door frame as she peered out and took in the site of the new city. "I guess we should figure out where we are, and what our next move can be." She looked out over the city. Her tall elven ears caught a loud sound coming from a tall building far away from them. "What is that sound?" she asked Sane who was still on the balcony.

Sane turned and looked at her with a nostalgic smile, "That would be the Marked Lands Bastion's alarm system, calling the troops to order. Something must have peaked their attention..." she let her face turn back to the city, the smell of eucalyptus sitting in the air like some memory of a lover or something...just drifting with the flow of the wind, "We are back in our world. Manic's and mine....while the planet is the same as Black and White's this is what used to be America.....now it is The Marked lands as King Lydon put it..." she shrugged and closed her eyes as she listened to the echo of the sirens.Virgil had left Nayana to her slow typing, mainly because it was painful to watch....he would have helped her, but that would have required him offering up the mage some assitance and an offer never got him anything. He stood behind Kalintria, still unsure of where they stood, after what all had happened, he just stood by her and listened to the slow lilt of her voice and let his eyes course over her slender body just once, "So we are on this dimension's version of Earth...saw that through one of Dey's rifts once..." he sighed, "I don't know what we are going to do in this town darlin.....It looks....um....a bit stiff and tasteless to me...."If only he knew how dangerous and terrifying this world is....
Nayana cursed a little under her breath as she tried to find the backspace key, or delete or whatever the hell they called it....damn thing was set up like a foreign language that made no sense. Letters and numbers all laid out like a broken ouija board. No spell book she'd ever read was this difficult to learn and decipher. She sighed, she couldn't use the voice rec softwhere that Rrellz had given her until she ran this diagnostic...Gods only new if she said something like a dark word or a curse the tower would explode, and since the technology was so difficult to truly understand she felt more confident in just taking it easy and trying her damnedst not to send a fireball through the intranet or internet or world wide webs or whatever the hell these Artless people called their hellish viewer....Of course she had to keep her face devoid of all these emotions lest she give away the fact that she was overwhelmingly uncomfortable with the entire concept of this electrical stuff and would much rather of undergone bamboo torture then deal with the mechanics of it....Ooooo bamboo torture....

Kalintria spun around swiftly and took Virgil's hands in hers. Her eyes had a spark of intoxication as she gazed into his eyes, leaning slightly forward towards him. "Well alarms and troops must mean that they are coming to check us out. I think you and I should take the time that we have right now to..." She gestured with her eyes to the stairs that would lead up to the other floors. She remembered there were other bedrooms, and being on a separate floor would give them more privacy for what they needed to discuss. "talk about earlier." Her voice was smooth, eloquent, and with a hint of reassurance. Her eyes also were telling Virgil that she would not just leave him to wonder any longer about her thoughts. She liked his integrity to stay out of her head when unnecessary, so she knew that The Minotaur did not control all aspects of him. She blinked seductively at him. "What do you say, Virgil? Will you join me upstairs?" She began walking towards the stairs, still holding his hand, hoping he will follow her.

Virgil let her lead him to the stairs still curious as to her intent. He didn't want to talk about what had happened earlier; the recent onslaught of supressed memories still sitting at the forefront of his mind, it seemed like he would never be able to escape those memories, no matter how hard he tried to swallow down what his brothers had done to him....he sighed and wondered where this whole thing would lead them. He cared for her no doubt, but with the minotaur constantly whispering in his head and taking over his body, he felt that intimacy was out of the question....and now with those cursed images...he didn't know if he would be able to react to her beauty.
Manic had checked all the rooms on the 8th floor and finally found Black and White sleeping soundly in a room with two beds. She looked at the two of them for a long time before sitting on the bed next to Black's still form. She didn't say anything....just laid down beside him on the bed, pressing her body against his, and pulling his arm around her. Still asleep he pulled her closer. She laid there for a few moments just enjoying the feeling of safety. She knew being back to the Marked Lands was going to be difficult. It had to of changed in the time they'd been gone. Now, she just wanted this....nothing sexual...just....safe.....

Kalintria led Virgil up to the 8th floor, hoping that they would not run into Manic, Black, and White. They had more important matters. When they got up there, she chose the second room on the left, no one ever seemed to choose that one, and to her relief they had not and it was empty. She pulled Virgil into the room and closed and locked the door behind them.
She turned back to Virgil and leaned her back against the door looking at the floor. "This was of course unavoidable, but I wish it to be as painless and quick as possible. There is no need to drag it out. However before we talk about that..." She held up her hands to stop anything Virgil may have wanted to say and continued on quickly. "I want to tell you about me." She looked up at Virgil.
"My mother was a high elf that abandoned her people and took off to live in the UnderWorld with the Drows, a hated race amongst the elven community. They are pure evil. My father is the King of the Drows. Need I say more about him." She shook her head and started looking at the floor again. "When I was born, my appearance was needless to say, disgraceful to the Drows, because I carried much of the high elf features and only my ears resemble that of the Drow. I was hated, abused, and powerless to stop them from letting out their hatred of the other elven races on me simply for my looks. The things they..." She shook her head hard, then took a deep breath before going on. "It took 175 years before I got up the courage and strength to escape their torturous grasp."
She looked up at Virgil as a single tear fell down her cheek. "So do not think that those images of your past would ever affect how I see you."

His features flushed as the words about his past escaped her lips. He looked away from her face which he had been watching intently while she spoke, "I'm sorry to hear that happened to you.....its awful" Is it really? Yes. Why? It made her. As I am making you, as your brothers made you..... The dark laugh echoed again around his skull but his features didn't show this internal exchange. "I...." he was at a loss for words, this was something he hated about himself and no substance or amount of women could hide his hatred of his own past.
