I'm not.
I personally HATE it when they add things into games on later releases. Why? Because it's not the original. I may sound lame saying that, but I'd rather play it the way the game was MEANT to be.
I got Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy II on the GBA, and I didn't like the idea of extra dungeons and items and crap, but I got it only because I wanted to play the game that started it all... But sadly, it's dissapointing knowing it's not really THE game that started the Final Fantasy series. The added stuff takes away from it in my opinion.
And well... you can't blame we for this one, but I already have it. And I love it the way it is.
If SquareEnix ever DID remake Final Fantasy VII with new and improved graphics, and added new dungeons, new bosses, new weapons, new whatever... I would be dissapointed. Hell, if they have enough ideas for more dungeons, you know what they should do?
Put it towards a new Final Fantasy. Don't stick it in the originals.
I mean, I wouldn't mind seing better graphics to FF7, cuz it would be cool seeing everyone look so real. But I would still miss making fun of the polygon men, and I would HATE the new fans... I just know it.

I know exactly what you mean, Ta-kun. I felt the same way when I got Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past on the GBA. I had the original, but my friend borrowed it one day and I never got it back. So I bought it on GBA and it had an extra mini game and all. I didn't like that, really. I missed my original SNES one. ;o;
I also have the original FFIV and even though it's not really one of my favorites, I like it the way it is. I like the graphics, too. Maybe I'm just a sucker for the 16-bit graphics, but yeah, I like it without all the extras. ^^

I have Zelda: A Link to the Past too! Damn, if I got it on GBA, I would be pissed about the mini-game. It's just -not- the same...
Nintendo and SquareEnix are re-releasing alot of games recently. I understand that they do it because of popularity of the series and/or game (*coughcoughmoneycoughcough*) but they should really leave the game alone. Leave it how it is, if you have so many ideas, use it towards a new game.
Ew, this probably means that Final Fantasy V and Final Fantasy VI will be on Game Boy Advanced sometime soon...
...SUCKAGE...

If I may ask, do you have an original NES? If so, you could get the original Final Fantasy at a used game store or eBay. I have the original Final Fantasy and I love it! ^_^ (I bought it new back in the day when NES was still the hottest thing on the market.)

My friend is the one with the NES. I've been looking for one to buy though. >> Even if it is almost impossible. Final Fantasy is hard to find as well. It's why I'm stuck with the damn GBA one.

First post's deleted. o_O; *confusion* Anyway...My dad says he has the first Final Fantasy for the computer. O_o As for NES, mine broke a couple of years ago. I was so sad- I miss it. ;~; Though I still have SNES. xD; And I actually never had my own copy of FFVII, I've only played a LITTLE of it at friends' houses...but now I'm getting it for Christmas (PS1- I think that's all it's on and that's all I'd take it on, anyway)!! *found it in mah father's closet* ninja >.> <.< >.> ^_^

I just know it. In a very small way I'm bitter about these things, but I'm actually happy about it. The original developers are adding brand new material, the same quality as the originals. It's like bonus features of an old movie on a new DVD. Far as I'm concerned, you don't have to play the new dungeons if you don't feel like it- they give you the option, and the game isn't any less playable or enjoyable (or different) with them. Besides, in the FFIV and FFVI added movie things, it was nice to finally see what the characters were intended to look like outside of a sketchy Amano drawing and pixelated chibis. These extras are like a mini Advent Children- it was nice to see what Aeris was intended to look like (aside from a brunette puppet with a cute outfit).
