there's a whole lot about this world that discontents me, as i'm sure it does a lot of you. but two days ago i found myself in a state of discontent that was of a soul crushing degree. i was depressed and i was outraged. i felt violence seeping into the fibers of my being and they begged for vengeance. y'see there's a correlation i've noticed to be true, if not for everyone than maybe just for me, that the more aware and the more knowledgeable i become about the state of the world, that there is also a direct rise in my discontentment. the cause of this of course is the soulless system that is capitalism and all of the social plagues that ride in on it's back. we can literally trace all of political strife and environmental destruction back to big business. all because of a economic system that has no beliefs or values except to make money at whatever the cost. the soppy love story between capitalism and greed is profound. capitalism cannot exist without inequality, so it makes it. why do you think those of us who live in the u.s. have a top 1% or 2% of the population with more wealth than all of the bottom 50%? another alarming threat comes from those that worship at the shrine of capitalism. those who subscribe to the right wing political ideology. it's time we stopped p***y footing around the subject that right ideologues in collaboration with their capitalist overlords threaten the very existence of civilization. these people make it their soul purpose in life, it seems, to thwart progress wherever it rears its head and drag us kicking and screaming into another dark age. whether it's through their religious obligations to stop stem cell research or the outwardly denial of evolution. their ignorance knows no bounds and better yet... these people hold the majority. this is what left wing ideology is up against. an enemy that knows no boundaries in terms of the atrocities it's willing to commit to justify it's means. left wing ideologues may win the argument but the right wing wins the war.
so i guess what i'm desperately looking for here is to know that i'm not alone. that there are others aware and willing do what it takes to correct our wrongs or at least willing and able to share ideas about how to go about correcting this.
my idea is this: in the world we live in all that matters is power. power derived from money. we are also living in a time where we're witnessing the tremendous growth of information technologies. it's now possible for teenagers to turn an online hobby into their own company. i wish to obtain money and power through this avenue and use it combat everything that's wrong with capitalism. basically using the power and might of capitalism for progress. not just for the sole benefactors in that particular company but for every living inhabitant on this planet.

I agreed with you wholeheartedly until this line: Quote: whether it's through their religious obligations to stop stem cell research or the outwardly denial of evolution. their ignorance knows no bounds and better yet... these people hold the majority. Too often religion and capitalism can be intertwined, but it does not mean that every instance there is religion that it is an evil offspring of capitalism. If you are honestly suggesting that a potential solution to problems that capitalism has brought about is to stifle religion then you sir have very little understanding of equality. Who are you to say I can't believe in the flying spaghetti monster? ** But then I got over it and was like "all right this kid's cool, welcome to the guild", then you had that last paragraph about a teenager with a company. Do you not see the irony in this? I mean sure, it may seem like fight fire with fire, but that's more like a blazing inferno and once you get in so far you won't be able to get back out. Tread carefully in that area comrade. I think it's safe to say that anyone who's in this guild and is a communist shares your sentiments. The more you read communist literature and then are forced to look up and see how the world is the more enraged you become. But put that passion and that rage to good use. "Be the change you want to see in the world" -Gandhi **-EDIT- It was also implied that you were referring to Christianity, but that doesn't really matter because what I'm about to say applies to all three of the major religions: communism goes hand in hand with what the scriptures say. More so for the Christians than anybody else, but Israel has had a multitude of successful communes and they used to be pretty good buds with the Soviet Union. But they wanted to be friends with the US too so now old Soviet weaponry is being used against them. sweatdrop Perhaps you should look into this comrade, and instead of turning yourself off to these "ignorant people" you could educate them. I assure you, I find little else as satisfying as explaining to a Christian that Jesus was a commie, because 9/10 times they have nothing to say and they will eventually come around.

on the subject of religion, it is my personal belief that it is a plague upon humanity causing some of the most evil to the world. if anything the only and I can't even call it a religion the only one that has not really caused any problems but more often than not promoted peace was Buddhism. in the bible it also states thout shalt not worship false idols or some such. I most likely am talking out of my a** at this point, but if you sit in a church any church you'll more than likely see a cross with a depiction of Jesus upon it, I know he did not want to be worshiped he knew he was here to die for our sins so that we would in turn better ourselves instead of killing those who do not think or believe as we do and in his name none the less.

Jesus is part of the Holy Trinity therefore He IS God. He does not fall under the "false idols" that are spoken of in the Bible. That originally came around in reference to Baal worship but has been applied to any other God. In more recent years that verse has been interpreted as anything that you place before God. You are quite right, Jesus never asked people to kill in His name, but the fact that followers did so can not be blamed on him. That's like blaming the actions of dictators who pretended they were communist on Karl Marx.

You can't just overthrow the system. You have to kill off groups like Fascists that inadvertently keep the system alive.
Without them in the picture, the Capitalists will have no one to hand emergency powers over to.

equality, as i see it, is only obtainable through atheism. if people could only understand that any god who proclaims omnipotence, omniscience or omnibenevolence while also having a professed holy text is FALSE. while people can proclaim just because god isn't all powerful doesn't mean he doesn't exist. true, but if he isn't all powerful why worship him? believing in a god of this degree is the same as believing in a tyrannical king. if the god of bible isn't what he claims to be in being all powerful then he isn't a god worthy of worship and therefore doesn't exist. now just as you can question, correct and hold with contempt a holocaust denier you can do the same for religion. more importantly you SHOULD do with religion, many people base their worldly views off of something that is blatantly wrong. religion is the baggage we've dragged along with us from ancient times and serves no real purpose in modern life. in fact when taken literally the bible only blocks us from progression. i think you can agree that a being that claims to be all powerful and all knowing would know how to convey an idea in his holy text, correct? if he left something up to interpretation then he would be foregoing his abilities he claims to have, rendering them mute. so when god tells you to commit horrible, violent acts he wants you to do just that. fundamentalists aren't people confused about their religion, they're following it as it was meant to be followed. religious 'extremism' is the true ugly face of religion.
and as i said, all that matters in this world is power. unfortunately we don't have the ability to go back in time to make sure industry develops correctly. we have to make do with what we have. we have to acquire power if we want to make a difference that matters. we can't sit around and wait for public opinion to dislodge it's head from it's a**. because as we can tell it's done so well in the past where people don't make the obvious change for the better until the problem is staring them in the face. generally people are fools and are unreliable. in the future, how many people will have to drown from global warming before people start pressuring their governments to make change?
and with respects to gandhi i will be doing just what that quote says.

Tibet. Tibet. Tibet. Tibet.TIBET!Unlike Xion, who is rather... 'eh' politically, I take umbrage at: another alarming threat comes from those that worship at the shrine of capitalism. those who subscribe to the right wing political ideology. This does not go far enough. The problem isn't 'right wing ideology' at all. The biggest threat to the working class are the Democrats who can get awya with a lot more than the Republicans purely because they posture are 'friends of labor' or 'anti-racist' or whatever. Xion's stuffs: but it does not mean that every instance there is religion that it is an evil offspring of capitalism.Yes, and since we can neither prove that every single ghost sighting is fake, that must mean that SOME are real. Religion is not an 'evil offspring', but is a form of false consciousness, an incorrect understanding of the world. And THAT is the problem with it. It is an incorrect, and utterly false and distorted world-view that is only kept around because it serves to hold back the working class. And Xion, who are you to say 'tread carefully'? You have trained as a murderer for the capitalist state, someone who accepts money to slaughter the enemies of the imperialist bourgeoisie and enforce imperialism. Hypocricy much? but Israel has had a multitude of successful communesYou mean the Kibutzim? Those 'communes' that were started because the settlers were pissed off that the farmers were employing arab labour? Those things that served as garrisons against the arab population, and were massive recruiting grounds for the zionist military... You mean those 'communes'? I assure you, I find little else as satisfying as explaining to a Christian that Jesus was a commie, because 9/10 times they have nothing to say and they will eventually come around.Do you also tell them that he was a violent revolutionary? That he was a rather small-time bandit and was actually ignored by most of the other Zealots? Jesus is part of the Holy Trinity therefore He IS God. He does not fall under the "false idols" that are spoken of in the Bible. I believe he is referring to the crucified martyr as the false idol, not Jesus himself. The actual gold-plated cross or whatever. Jesus never asked people to kill in His name,Orly? "Dude, get a sword. I don't care if you have no money. Sell the clothes off your ******** back, and buy a ******** sword!" Herobane:Without them in the picture, the Capitalists will have no one to hand emergency powers over to.You should read it.To the OP's final post: equality, as i see it, is only obtainable through atheism. if people could only understand that any god who proclaims omnipotence, omniscience or omnibenevolence while also having a professed holy text is FALSE. while people can proclaim just because god isn't all powerful doesn't mean he doesn't exist. true, but if he isn't all powerful why worship him? believing in a god of this degree is the same as believing in a tyrannical king. if the god of bible isn't what he claims to be in being all powerful then he isn't a god worthy of worship and therefore doesn't exist.Or, you could just ignore the question entirely: It completely contradicts everything we know. There, done. *whipes hands of religion* . in the future, how many people will have to drown from global warming before people start pressuring their governments to make changeThe capitalist state will do what it feels is necessary to maintain its existence, that is all. What needs to be done is the complete and utter overthrow and destruction of capitalism. Nice and simple.

The biggest threat to the working class are the Democrats who can get awya with a lot more than the Republicans purely because they posture are 'friends of labor' or 'anti-racist' or whatever. really? i fail to see how the democrats (who don't represent sound left wing ideology) could do anything comparable to giving tax cuts to the richest pricks in america (amongst other things) while basically handing over america to said richest pricks in a nice little hand basket. Louis-Auguste Robespierre To the OP's final post: equality, as i see it, is only obtainable through atheism. if people could only understand that any god who proclaims omnipotence, omniscience or omnibenevolence while also having a professed holy text is FALSE. while people can proclaim just because god isn't all powerful doesn't mean he doesn't exist. true, but if he isn't all powerful why worship him? believing in a god of this degree is the same as believing in a tyrannical king. if the god of bible isn't what he claims to be in being all powerful then he isn't a god worthy of worship and therefore doesn't exist.Or, you could just ignore the question entirely: It completely contradicts everything we know. Obama’s election was celebrated as the arrival of the moment when things would be finally turned around in favor of the unions that had contributed $450 million to elect a Democrat to the White House. In fact, in his short time in office Obama has proved far more effective in gutting the unions than his Republican predecessor. Obama’s appeals for “sacrifice” to salvage American capitalism from the most severe economic crisis since the Great Depression were readily saluted by United Auto Workers (UAW) leader, Ron Gettelfinger. In the assault on the UAW orchestrated by the White House to foot the bill for bailing out the auto bosses, Gettelfinger accepted worthless GM and Chrysler stock to fund over half the union’s retiree health care trust. That is, he robbed medical care from aging workers whose years of backbreaking labor on the production lines were a serious and chronic detriment to their health, while those still working continue to see their health benefits massacred.[ X] I'll get around to pushing the point further, though... eventually...
