Science Fiction - Fantasy Cross Over
Story
It was proven beyond a shadow of a doubt. . . Reincarnation was real.
Churches of all religions whom denied reincarnation were turned on their heads. Those who had once been faithful, those who had followed their church all their lives began to question their beliefs and ultimately, fled in search of true salvation. A mass religious migration occurred and Reincarnation-believing religions reached all-time highs in their number of followers. Those who refused to changed religion, true devotes, besmirched the discovery of reincarnation and claimed it was a plot of the Devils to destroy their belief. . . After what we saw? Who knows. . . Maybe they were right. . .
See, it was all sort of an accident really. An experimental propulsion system, Rodex 85000, was finally operational and the scientist behind the project were about to conduct their first field test. The Rodex 85000 generated an artificial worm hole which allowed the ship to travel at unbelievable speeds --nearly instantaneously-- and not only that, but it could travel through any object without causing damage to ship, nor what it had traveled through. The danger of light speed collisions were soon to be a thing of the past. However, the unexpected occurred.
The Rodex was fired up and a destination set. The engine roared, then the fabric of time and space began to rippled. And then? Well, it exploded. However, it wasn't what you may think. The explosion had nothing to do with any sort of malfunction of sabotage. It simply popped. But it was what was left behind that arose the questions. A swirling portal of red and blue replaced the experimental craft. A probe was sent in and what was discovered blew everyone away.
Thirteen seconds of footage. The probe dropped a few inches onto a pillow of lush, green grass, did a three-sixty and was then clobbered by a green skinned creatures right out of your nightmares. That thirteen seconds, however, gave them everything they needed to know.
There was a breathable atmosphere.
There was a stable and non-lethal gravity.
There was life beyond the abyss.
Renowned scientist, Doctor Friedrich Ehcztein demanded he and a group of fellow scientist as well as an armed guard venture beyond the abyss and learn what they can from it. For ten days, Dr. Ehcztein relayed his finding via a probe that was returned to our world.
First, documentation of the world around them. Data regarding the plant life.
Next, information on the creatures that roamed the strange world. An index of species strangely akin to that of a fantasy novel.
After that. . . He had met with his late wife, dead for sixteen years.
And finally, she had received a body and returned to the world of the living. It didn't take much further investigation to see quite clearly, reincarnation was simply a fact of life. However, that was Dr. Ehcztein's final message. It was a whole twenty seven days before action was taken. A team of elites was assembled to venture into the strange world and rescue Dr. Ehcztein and his team.
Oh, you want to know if they succeeded or not, don't you? Well, there is only one way to find out!

Trauvos: Commonly referred to as "Little Green Men", however, they come in green and blue with varying shades of each.
Rogah: A race of kangaroo-like bipedals. They possess large legs, multi-jointed arms similar to their legs a thick tail and a long, almost canine-like snout.
Feel free to add your own, however, they must be accepted first!
