For those who don't know, Flight of the Conchords are a folk-parody duo from New Zealand. They also had a television show in the US, in which the stories were basically written around their songs. Anyway, one of their most popular songs is called "Bowie's in Space", and parodies several Bowie-isms. There also was an episode entitled "Bowie", in which different incarnations of David Bowie appear to Bret in his dreams and give him advice. If you'd like to check it out, here's the original songAnd clips from the episode "Bowie": Ziggy dreamAshes to Ashes dreamLabyrinth dream / songAnyway, what do you think of the song/representation of Bowie? Personally, I think Jemaine does a very good Bowie impression, and I find their parody hilarious.

EDIT: What, we can't say n****e here? n****e-y nipples nippled my n****e. n****e. n****e, I say!

The lyrics have gradually changed a little since they first performed the song - originally, there was a bit at the beginning where they said:
"That's pretty freaky, Bowie. You don't have any astronautical qualifications of any sort..."
That bit always made me laugh so hard.
"Set your phasers on funky!"

Oh man, I remember finding that when I had just gotten into Bowie. I tried to make my Mum watch it and she didn't get it at all. emo *mumblenosenseofhumormumble*
I love the "On your face, Bret. On your face" part.
Actually, I drew a little minicomic where TWD-era Bowie visits Bret. I'll have to scan that in an post it if I can still find it. ninja

The whole thing is full of quotables! But I especially love the way Ashes to Ashes Bowie exits. rofl

Ah yeah, that exit is great. He's a puppet after all, no? And Labyrinth-Bowie walking all over the walls and ceiling. heart

It's somewhat chronologically incorrect -- and I'm not sure whether or not he lost the fight -- but I did it for stylistic purposes. I'll post it when I'm done!
