soon all the ice was gone accept for the floe gabbi was standing on.

"Ok then. SOrry about the floor, can't you just make the ice come back (yes you can)? Sorry I probably shouldn't be here, you know daughter of the god of fire in the ice gods cabin"

Gabriel walked through the door and onto a patch of ice that greeted the entrance way. He looked around and smiled. "Now, THIS is what I call a cabin. Just like home...." He dropped his stuff next to a bunk and plopped down. He then looked at the ceiling and stared in awe at the frozen ice that covered the walls. He smiled again and then rose out of bed. "Well, seeing as how I'm the only one here, I might as well go train. I hope the guys that got captured are OK."

Gabriel walked slowly into the cabin. He knew no one was in there, so he didn't bother looking up. The tears on his face froze the second he walked into the cabin. He walked over to his bed and sat down. Scenes from his past flashed before his eyes. He began to cry more, but the moment he produced even a slight tear, it froze onto his face. He didn't care. He hadn't cried like this in a long time.

Gabriel chuckled. "Relax, I'll take care of the cold." He motioned his arm's forward and formed a small gust of wind towards the back of the cabin. The cold air in the cabin was forced to the back of the room, though he wasn't sure how long it was last.
"So...I'm sure you're wondering why I wanted to talk to you, right? More or less, I just need some advice." Gabriel lowered his head slightly and sat down on his bed.

Gabriel sighed slightly. "This might seem like something stupid to you, but to me, its a serious problem. I'm.....not really sure if I want to befriend the people here at camp." He looked away towards a picture frame he had placed on the table next to his bed. In the picture was a much younger Gabriel and several boys around the same age. This picture was many years old.
"When I was about 8, me and my friends were going to our 'Usual Hangout' spot somewhere up the street from our houses. They came to pick me up and head out but I had forgotten to turn off the T.V., which my mother would have freaked out about, so I had run back to my house to turn it off. I told them to wait up, but they went on without me and said they would get some pizza while I was catching up. It only took me about a minute and a half to get back to my house and turn the T.V. off, but when I had gotten to the hangout.....I was too late. All of my friends, just like that, had been hit and killed by a drunk driver turning the corner around the street too fast. He hit all of them. When I arrived, the driver had left the scene and my friends were all lying there. I freaked out and called 911 to get an ambulance. They said they were dead when they had arrived."
He started tearing up slightly.
"It took me years to finally open myself up again. I didn't become friends with anyone until high school. I became friends with a bunch of kids that were new to the school. Not even a month after becoming friends with them, two of them had been killed in a snow boarding accident, and another was left brain-dead after a car accident. To me.....it seems that where ever I go, whoever I befriend, is doomed to have something bad happen to them."
He looked up to Adonia, not really sure if she cared to hear his story or not.
"Just look. I'm not even here a week, and all of these people I met at the Arena get captured by the Titans for almost a week. I just wish I could have been there. I could have done something to prevent that from happening. I just don't know if I should become friends with people here, especially find a girlfriend or something like that, because I can't take someone else getting hurt if there is nothing I can do to help."
