I propose that we make one of them a forum for threads of or relating to communication between the CC and the guild at large.

That means threads like Gracchs's proposed changes to the commissar rules would go there, and discussions from the community towards or regarding the CC would go there.

Ideally, threads with CC votes will be moved there at the conclusion of the vote, and locked. So the public can actually see how their elected officials are voting and justifying their votes (transparency) and the public has a forum in which to directly communicate with the CC. Moving and locking could be a duty of the Commissars to give them a basic function within CC with which people can see their diligence in relation to responsibilities they are given.

NOTE: Possibly, they could also be tasked with maintaining an up to date sticky listing incoming and pending vote threads, but that would be useless if the guild wasn't especially active anyway.

I propose we name the forum 'Committee-Guild Relations' or something to that effect, I was never good with names.

I could just delete the forums (my prefered option), but I doubt people would like me squandering guild funds like that.

I think best not to tie our hands. As things are, the most active members of the guild and the CC are frequently on skype, so those most interested in the guild can easily prod the CC for anything, and if anyone wants to ask us anything... ask normally?

Having a forum for it later might be useful, but right now... eh. Also, having important stuff in subforums would distract from it, same with having it as a sticky. Yes it would always be there, but for just that reason no one would bother to look in there.

Yeah, 'Ask the CC' isn't exactly the idea of my proposal. I would like to see it more become something of a 'public' locale for CC things. All votes and their discussions should definitely be public. 'Oh ask us on Skype' isn't good enough. Public records accessible any time by the public is more transparent, and simply hitting the 'move thread' tab couldn't possibly be difficult for the CC or commissars at the conclusion of each vote.

Also, threads like this one, proposing changes to the guild, could be kept there and subsequently they stay out of interfering with content-based discussion on the main page for one, and for two members of the CC can go there specifically to discuss public opinion on various issues.

Huh? Finalised votes, that have already happened, with discussions that have already passed, going into a public forum after the vote is over and unelected officials have had no bearing on the subforum and subsequently not interfered at all nor can they, as by the time the thread is moved the results of the vote are in force or about to be...***

Yes, my ideal is an open forum where only the CC's votes are counted, and yes, I don't understand nor agree with your reasoning for hiding the forum from us. But what I'm asking for is a middle ground, largely in your favour, where we, 'we' being guild members communist and otherwise get to observe

-Voting records
-Opinions of CC members
-Tardiness of CC members (if they voted and how long it took, and if they took part in the discussion and how much).

You seem to think that every word out of my mouth has the ultimate goal of destroying this guild or something. It's a throw back to the old 'Hate Gracchvs' thread locked in the subforum. I'm honestly and earnestly putting forward an idea I think is good for the guild as well as give a responsibility to commissars for which you and others have been deliberating the uses of.
