I've heard a few and some of them weren't too too bad. If you click on the word "remake" for any of the songs it will take you to a youtube video for the remake of the song. Clicking on the word "original" will take you to a youtube video of the original version.

The original version isn't too bad but the beat is a little too slow for my liking. The newer one has a faster beat. My GF's father, who heard the song when it came out by The Who even said that the remake was good.

Okay, I really don't like this guy... girl.... thing. It's music is horrible in my opinion. And it ruined a really good song.

I'll admit that I have not heard this remake but I do not plan on listening to it. I've heard that Kanye MURDERED the song. And he took out the first 3 words in the title.

Okay the original song is, once again, a bit too slow for my liking, but the Smashing Pumpkins remake just didn't sound right. It seemed to me like they put emphasis on the wrong words at the wrong times. And I have nothing against the Smashing Pumpkins, I actually like most of their music, but this one didn't seem to well made. (I had no idea how may remakes of this song there were O.O)

'This is Halloween' is sung & composed by Danny Elfman
Danny Elfman composed all of the music from
'the Nightmare before Christmas' and sings as Jack.
Danny Elfman was the singer/songwriter for Oingo Boingo
Both Marilyn Mansons & patds remakes were awful.

I hated Marilyn Manson's remake of "This is Halloween". It was just horrible. I don't plan on listening to the Panic at the Disco's remake because I just don't like that band.
And Kanye F-ing ruined "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger". I'm so sorry Daft Punk. I'm so sorry he did this. ;_;

Well I loved both remakes for "This Is Halloween". Marilyn Manson's version is very danceable and I just love the man and his music,to me no Halloween party is complete without it;and Panic At The Disco's version was okay. 'Course,the original has no comparison,that goes without saying.

Two other songs that have been remade a lot of times is The Rolling Stones' "Paint It Black" which has been done by The Agony Scene,Inkubus Sukkubus,The Vines,The Avengers,and a lot of other people;and Depeche Mode's "Enjoy The Silence" which has been done by Lacuna Coil,Tori Amos,Vanessa Carlton,among others and has been remixed countless times,my favourite being Mike Shinoda's mix.

Also Tori Amos did a remake of 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' by Nirvana.
I've never liked Nirvana so of course I prefer her version. :3

Pendulum did a remix/cover of Voodoo People by The Prodigy and personally i think it's way better that the original. (before any one says anything, i do actually quite like The Prodigy)

I can't stand the remake of "You've Lost that Lovin' Feeling" by Hall and Oats. (The song from "Top Gun"). The Righteous Brothers' version was great on its own... but you don't let an old band remake an old song. It would have been better if someone twenty years younger than Hall and Oats remade it.
I do, however, love Seether's version of "Careless Whisper."
Some other remakes I like are on singer's albums but not on the radio...
Mariah Carey remade Journey's "Open Arms"
Vanessa Carlton remade Rolling Stone's "Paint it Black"
Lindsey Lohan remade Fleetwood Mac's "Edge of Seventeen."
All of these were rather great. But Hall and Oats definitely shouldn't have touched "That Lovin' Feeling"
