Welcome to Academy X

Two years ago, in the 620 Universe, human and mutant relations seemed to be getting better on the planet Earth. That was until the horrifying events that occurred six months ago. One fateful night, after a long absence from the limelight, Magneto appeared above New York. Finally driven to insanity, he unleashed an attack on New York which killed 2.5 million innocent civilians both human and mutant.

The X-Men, Fantastic Four, Avengers, and any other hero in New York City fought Magneto and his Brotherhood back and stopped them from doing any more damage. This was not the end of the conflict. SHIELD, a United Nations sanctions organization, found Magneto and his Brotherhood to be a threat. When Magneto and his team fled to the Island of Genosha, SHIELD unleashed several Sentinels with a seek and destroy order. The citizens of Genosha would not allow for their leader to be destroyed. Five million mutants died in this conflict as Genosha was scorched and left for rubble. Magneto was presumed dead.

Despite Magneto being presumed dead, the human vs. mutant conflict was escalated to the highest peak. Mutants were hunted. Children were cornered.

It was time for the X-Men to act. For many years, the Xavier Institute served as a home and school for children and teenagers who desired to learn about their abilities and train to be X-Men. No longer. To look impartial, Charles Xavier stepped down as head master of his school and appointed two opposing mutants as headmasters: Scott Summers and Emma Frost.

The Xavier Institute (or "Academy X" as newer students call it) was now open to all students as a safe house. Even if students didn't want to become X-Men or even if they did not share the Xavier view, the Xavier Institute would protect and teach each student equally.

"Academy X" was now open to everybody.

Over time, those students who joined the Xavier Institute as a safe haven grew to learn their powers and skills. They fought on the front lines defending their lives from villains such as Sugar Man, Fitzroy, Mystique, Mr. Sinister, and the Hellfire Club... they took their blows and stood strong. No longer were they just students, but they were becoming something more... they were becoming X-Men.

Trouble doesn't find them. They find trouble.

-------------------

What to do in your character's first post:

All new characters will have been a student at the Xavier Institute for six months to a year. Because they have shown exceptional skill above their peers, they will be promoted from their student team to one of the Junior X-Men teams (this was assigned to you upon application approval.) The first post of the character would have them talking to either Scott Summers or Emma Frost about their promotion. Their dorm room would also be moved to the area where the Junior X-Men students are housed.

What is the difference between the Alpha and Omega teams:

Technically there is no difference between each team in the school; however, the Alphas are traditionally the "good guys" who believe in Xavier's ideals. The Omegas are traditionally more rogue/bad boys and fall more into their own ideals of how things should be done. This is not always the case, though. You don't HAVE to make your character take those views when on either of those teams.

Alpha wears a black uniform with blue detailing. Omega wears a black uniform with red detailing.

------------

Previous Story: XIV Eyes of Insanity

The Alpha and the Omega teams were deployed into Mutant Town weeks ago to keep an eye out for strange occurrences. In that amount of time they fought off a hoard of red, knuckle dragging demonic creatures that seemed hell bent on skinning mutants alive. They fought them off at a price--But learned a little more about the enemy.

The demons are coming from one dimension to Earth via temporal rips that are created with generators that hold the tear open. They are powered by a purple viscous fluid that has some kind of metal in it. If destroyed, the portal will try to take all evidence of the attack with it--Leaving behind only two crushed nearly unidentifiable canisters, and a spray of purple goo.

The local police investigated the Academy because some of the locals at Mutant Town ID'd some of the students. So far the police have nothing, other than a few skinned victims, and the Academy's address. Nothing that directly links them to the attacks.

Days after an epic battle with the demons, a group called the Marauders attacked the school--Intent on stealing the information obtained by the X-Men on the demons. They work for an unknown, but were taken down and sent with S.H.I.E.L.D. for incarceration and questioning. So far Sabertooth is the only one known to have escaped.

At the same time an intangible entity infiltrated the school and possessed several students. One of the students crashed the schools security, so the Marauders were able to waltz right in. At the same time, the student, possessed by the unknown entity made a copy of student and personnel files. It is unknown what became of the entity or the schools files.

During the attack-- Files from the schools server were copied twice. It is unknown if the two attacks, the Marauders, and the mysterious possessions are related incidents.

The school is in lock down--No student is able to leave campus, College or Highschool, without permission from Emma Frost or Scott Summers.

Currently Forge has gone to a site where he detected a temporal rip might have once been to study it. No one has heard from him in two days.

And now, a week later... the next chapter to the story begins...

Alpha: Beasts

Over 24 hours ago.... after the return to the Institute...
User Image

She couldn't get the power dampener off fast enough. She threw it into her locker not thinking about it but hating it. A smile crept across her face thinking about how much she wanted to sit down and snuggle with her boyfriend.... Reikon had put up with a lot of crap from her lately..... and he was a saint for not turning tail yet. Her smile faded quickly. A wave of heat started to flow over her... it felt like her mind was losing it's grip. Scott and Forge didn't think their little gadget through. You hold a power down and it builds up like a pressure cooker waiting to burst. The pressure was more than Evie could contain.

She ran from the Institute as fast as she could so she wouldn't hurt anybody. She didn't know how pissed off the wolf would be when it came out. The was a hand on her forehead trying to stop the throbbing, other arm on her stomach feeling like she was going to vomit. Her eyes watched everything going on but her mind started changing along with her body. Her claws scratched at the wall and the wolf came forward. It was held back and now it was wild. And it was wild to the point that most of Evie's own instincts and control were gone.

So the wolf ran.... scared.... untamed....

Tired.... home.... where was home?

The wolf wandered headed through a small town and then another. Somewhere her collar had come off... the collar that had her communicator. A kid had taken it. He was trying to feed her and take her home. Soon as he grabbed her collar to drag her, the wolf wriggled it's head out of it and ran again to hide.

Current time

Padding down an ally, the wolf forgot that it was human too. Maybe that was a good thing momentarily, the missing collar also meant a missing uniform. The air had a gloom about it that made her uncomfortable. The fur on her back raised up and her ears became alert. A strange hush sounded out. It was like all things smart enough had run. A scent.... a scent she didn't like.

The larger than average wolf arched it's back and started growling in the direction of the scent. A burly, hulking man creature came out of the shadows. It had claws and a grin that showed white fangs... it only meant trouble.

"Come here puppy. I like your scent," He walked slowly towards the growling wolf. The wolf was cornered in this ally way. If the wolf had remembered who it was while in this wild state, she would have seen twenty different ways to get out of this. But the only way she saw was... attack. She took a running leap at the man with teeth and claws out. This was no match for him. He batted her down like a rag doll and she slid across the ground.

Healing was slower in this form. It took her body a lot of control to maintain it and this was the only form her body was letting itself maintain. The wolf jumped up and tried to run, but the man ran after her and brought her down. He grabbed her by the throat slashing her stomach (not fatally but enough to slow her down) out of anger and took in her scent.

"I smell familiarity on you. You have the scent of the demons I'm looking for...." His eyes looked particularly evil out from his dirty blondish hair. His nose was crooked and his breath had a dead smell to it like he made a living by killing. Oh, but he did. He took another breath in and thought about the scent as the wolf whined and tried to kick away from him with it's hind legs. He threw her again into a wall.

Leaning over her, he looked for any markings, tags or the likes, "I can't tell who you are but you smell like my old 'friend'. What have you been doing with Logan puppy? So you smell like two prizes I want which means you will get to live until we figure out what you know."

Logan.... Logan. That name. Why did she know that name? He picked her up again by the throat hoping to take her away with him. Sabertooth. The wolf suddenly knew where home was even if she couldn't quite put her thoughts together. She also knew that she had to get away from this man. She knew who he was.

"Oh puppy, you can try and flee... but my boss wants to know where those demons come from and that means you..."

She thought she might pass out. The wolf howled as his grip tightened and she started to feel slack as her consciousness was moving in and out between air being cut off and losing blood. Another scent came across the wind as another beast came in and attacked Sabertooth at the back. He dropped Evie wolf and the second wolf managed to allow her to land onto his back. The second was a familiar scent: Anuki... Lillian's wolf.

"I smell Logan on both of you. You will see me again," Sabertooth growled and only stopped his pursuit because of a message that came through to him to return to base. He spat at the idea of letting the two go, but if they got back to the Institute, he would need backup these days with how many kids were there... all would just be food for his thirst for blood.

The Institute

I was raining... raining hard. The problem with the rain was that it washed the scent of the past off of Evie and Anuki. So when Anuki entered the Institute forest looking for Logan, all Logan could say was, "Evie... what the hell did you get yourself into kid?"

He couldn't pick up a scent and she was barely conscious and wouldn't transform. Clicking his comm he sent a message out, "Reikon, Gideon and Bella... come to the back forest and meet me... and Bella... bring one of Evie's uniforms...."

Omega: Training...
Varian spent the next day resting as much as he could. He avoided his powers like the plague after he had accidentally used them a couple times with painful consequence. But after day of resting his abilities he was back on his game. His powers were really causing that much damage. If he used them a little to much he was a little light headed after, but nothing serious. With out his powers music just didn't seem the same. The wing of the music room had been silent since the Junior X-Men had returned from their mission.

After his classes Varian had a meeting with Jean in the danger room. She wanted to test his limits and see where his powers were. It had no doubt been set up Emma and Narcissa. They needed to know where his limits were to help him know when enough was enough and he wanted to learn how to be stronger... He wanted to be what Narcissa needed right now. While it was hining through, it was still trapped somewhere with in the shell that he was.

The danger room opened, and Varian walked in. He was in a training uniform, not much different than his actual one, but the colors were slightly different and it was less extravagant. Immediately he saw Jean up in the control panel.

"Hello Varian. I know your mind is still probably weak from over exertion, but now is the ideal time to strengthen your mind and your powers. While your mind and body are healing is the ideal time to push it further. We are only going to do a couple simple exercises today. Nothing major. Just some introductory exercises to evaluate your current levels."

Varian nodded to her as the room rippled and the tiles seemed to disappear leaving him in a solid white room. In the middle of the room was a long pole with a small loop at the top. It was like an ancient Aztec ball game.

A ball suddenly appeared in front of him as Jean's voice came through the room again. "Just carry the ball through the loop easy as that."

Varian didn't wait for her to finish before the ball lifted into the air and with in a couple seconds pushed its way through the hole with ease. He let the ball go as he exited the other side of the loop, and it vanished and another ball appeared at his feet.

"Its going to be rather repetitive, but just keeping putting the ball in through the hole. Each ball will be different sizes and weights. Move them as fast as you are comfortable doing. We will do this until you feel we need to stop."

Varian did as instructed with out question. He understood the purpose and structure of the exercise. It was boring, but Varian didn't mind. The only complaint he had against it was that he was doing this while he was not 100%. He thought the results would have been a lot better had they done this a few days ago. But better late than never.

After what seemed like hours, Varian finally just stared at the ball. "I think.... Im done..." He simply stated. Jean looked down from the control panel. She was rather shocked that Varian had spoke. She had been told he probably would not say a word, so she had been using her powers to catch the signal to stop, but he voiced it.

"Very good Varian." She called down to him as the room returned to normal. "I would like to work with you again in two days if that is alright."

"I think I would like that." Varain spoke back to her. "I need the training..." He looked over to the door, as they split open and let him out. He walked to the locker rooms and took his uniform off and replaced it with the normal loose fitting white top, and khaki pants.

The music room called to him once again. Varian would answer. He had a date with a small string instrument that missed its place under his chin. It didn't take long for Varian to get there. It was different now that he had gone even just one day with out his powers. He had not realized just how much he had been taking advantage of. The handles on doors. The latches to his instrument cases. Reaching across a table for a cup... just the little things. It left him with this sense of being lazy using his powers in such small manners.

He tucked the instrument under his cheek and placed the bow of the strings and started to move his wrist back and forth. A steady hum of music leaving the instrument playing out a simply... light hearty tune. Something a little more temporary than he usually played. He was just feeling the need for a Renaissance. It was time for change... and the minute he stood up to his brother he knew that time had finally come. s**t had happened... but he had mourned long enough. It was time to move on with his life. He couldn't blame himself anymore. It wasn't his fault.

User Image Two days later and still feeling bad.

Forellen had been slow recovering from her injuries that she received from their adventure in Mutant town. As far as they could tell she was recovering nicely and they said by the end of the day they’d be able to try and accelerate the healing on her shoulder. They had tried yesterday and she had a bad reaction to the process so they decided to give her another day or so before trying again. She had been down there earlier and they seemed pleased that she was starting to finally rebound and would be fully recovered within the next few days. That didn’t make her shoulder feel any better though as for the last few days it felt as if someone was holding a hot poker to it. They gave her a strong enough pain killer to take the edge off of it but Forellen didn’t really want to take it unless she absolutely couldn’t stand the pain any longer.

So as Forellen was plodding along through her day learning how to not use her injured arm for anything she happened to be passing the music room. Someone was in there playing a violin. Forellen paused and began to hum along with it before peaking inside and found Varian in there playing, or was that his brother? They were twins and Forellen was working on learning which twin was which. Forellen hadn’t had much of a chance to meet him or his brother. Naturally she heard a lot from others but Forellen usually tried to reserve judgment as the opinions of others might be colored. He didn’t appear to notice her come in as he was quite focused on his music. Impulsively Forellen padded in and seated herself in a chair to listen humming along lightly with the melody he was playing. He really was quite good with that instrument.

Omegas: After Class Training

User ImageKrythin tossed her messenger bag onto her beg, glad to be done with another day of classes. Pacing over to the dresser, she picked out a gray ribbed tank top and a pair of black athletic pants with a white stripe running down the legs. Once she had changed Krythin pulled on a pair of black no-show socks and dark gray running shoes with light blue accents, lacing them tightly. After a few hamstring stretches, calf stretches, and IT-ban stretches, she walked out of her room and out the back of the institute.

Once outside, Krythin started a mild jog along the treeline to get her muscles warmed up. It felt good just to get out on a little bit of a run again. At a break in the trees there appeared to be a woods path, which she took. Krythin took in a deep breath, sucking in the rich, woodsy oxygen. With air like this she felt that she could run forever.

Omega: Academy - Attempting to Sort Through the Mess

User Image

Classes flew by for Kerrigan, something that she was ultimately grateful for. Since the incident in the infirmary, the redhead had been practically avoiding everyone, especially the parties involved. Their day without classes was spent in the gym, sorting through everything to no avail. By the end of the day she was feeling just as bad as she did the day before, and it didn't help with Carlos managed to corner her. If it wasn't awkward enough trying to sort through things on her own, it was even worse when she had to explain what happened to the other member involved, filling in the drunken gaps. When she finally did finish the story she could see his reaction, the dark-haired boy disappearing without so much as another word to her. It hurt on one side, but on the other side she knew it was coming. She involved herself with something officially beyond her control, and things between them would never be able to be the same again.

Kerri spent that night alone again, finding it a little more difficult to sleep that night, considering she didn't have the exhaustion factor on her side, by the time her alarm went off in the morning to get ready for classes, she had already been awake for awhile. Her thoughts kept switching to what she would say to Cissa when the girl spoke to her, her attention more on that than her classes for the day. In fact, it got to the point where she was just counting down the minutes until she could go for a run. She had no idea how many people knew about what happened, but she felt like there were eyes on her all day, causing the girl to retreat to her empty dorm room during lunch and avoid hallways at all cost during passing periods.

As soon as the last bell rang, she broke from the class, avoiding even eye contact with anyone and everyone as she made her way straight to the dorm room once more. Changing into a pair of running shorts and a black sports bra, the redhead pulled her hair up into a ponytail before heading out for an afternoon run. Where other girls ate when they are stressed, Kerrigan exercised. Putting on her earphones, her green eyes focused on nothing but the pavement ahead as she took to her favorite route around the grounds, pushing herself even further than she normally would. By the time she was done, several miles behind her, her chest was heaving, red bangs plastered to her sweat drenched forehead. It was rare that a runner's high didn't make her feel better, but she knew the only thing that would take this pit out of her stomach.

Heading back into the school, pulling on a long-sleeved, off the shoulder black shirt she had tied around her waist, Kerrigan knew she had to face Cissa sooner than later. Stopping back by her room, the redhead changed into a pink, sleeveless blouse and a pair of olive green pants before taking to the hallways, determined to find her best friend in the school. She wasn't going to let her being in the wrong place at the wrong time isolate her from the place she had come to call home. Just as she was determined not to lose Cissa after her explosion on the mission, she wouldn't lose her now. Carlos kissing her was a mistake, nothing more, and the fact that he thought she was the blonde was enough to make her realize that it meant nothing. It could never mean anything.

Omega: Detective Walsh - No More Interviews Today User Image

“Could you please state your full name?”, Detective Walsh spoke clearly, his tone of voice stern, allowing his polite and detached business persona to sit at the forefront of his mind. “…What year are you in? Major?”

Narcissa Grace Lucania.”, the blond bombshell replied without missing a beat, her glacier eyes fathomless as she sat primly in one of the side rooms of the Academy. It seemed to be a study of sorts, everything was decorated in mahogany wood. From floors to book shelves. She was clad in a form fitting blood red dress that she’d chosen, in specific capacity of making Carlos jealous beyond reason…“I’m a sophomore, taking specified classes in business and politics.”

“You’re British?”, he questioned, adeptly noting the lingering accent in her voice… It seemed that these students had ties all over the world. He’d just spoken with a girl linked back to one of the largest breweries in South America, and another from Japan. How this school acquired such an eclectic crowd… He knew that there were certain reasons, rumors of genetic abnormalities… But the clearly educated, college sophomore that sat before him looked little different than any other sorority girl.

Though exceptionally beautiful, he was ashamed to admit.

Yes I am. God save the Queen.”, Narcissa responded as coldly as she had before. Her glare gave him no quarter, no room to breathe… She made sure of it. Her glow was mostly hidden from him through her own works, locking her power away… But she knew she still seemed ethereal. A trick of the light, he might think, that made her seem so unreal. “Shall I fetch afternoon tea?”

The detective felt his ears burn at the gaze the blond girl, the blond woman leveled him with… He had been assigned to the school more as a formality. Until now, each person he had spoken to had been perfectly accommodating. Normal, for a school setting. But this girl was something else. Cool as a cucumber, but a spitfire the moment she opened her mouth. He had been in the field a long time, and could usually recognize when he was being played with. He couldn't get a thing off of her, right or wrong. “That won’t be necessary, Miss Lucania. Were you near Alphabet City earlier this week?”

“Yes.”

“Did you see anything strange?”

“I was near the run down district. What isn’t strange there?”

“No offense intended… But why would a young woman such as yourself be there?”

“It was a learning experience. You've never heard of assisting the unfortunate, Detective?”

There was a pregnant silence as Narcissa’s glare dropped to sub zero temperatures. She was never out right rude to the man questioning her, considering he was with local law enforcement… Although, under the statues of the Embassy—The United States government had no right to detain, or question her without appropriate personnel. But Narcissa would play nice, as Emma had requested, to keep the good detective away from the other students.

The Interview went on for a little over an hour, and when Narcissa left the room, the detective called it quits for the day—Stating that he’d spoken to enough of the student body for the time being.

She whistled as she walked down the hall, red heels clicking on the marble as her hips swayed with constant deliberate purpose—Her right hand free, moved with her, golden tresses piled atop her head in some intricate vintage style that bespoke hours of work. Her make up was flawless, real diamonds glittering in her ears.

There was a ring suspiciously missing from her finger.

Raising her comm to her wrist she pressed the side button. ~Omega’s—We meet in the second floor study tonight at eight. Be there.~

She clicked the comm off--- Feeling a faint whisper of fatigue, but she was mostly recovered from the energy drain she’d been suffering… She’d spent almost all day in the sun, and had every intention of getting back to it. Though it was raining, cloud cover couldn't hide the sun from her... It just took longer. Narcissa had kept herself constantly busy for the last day or so—Filing the field report she remembered, planning a new DR session… She took her usual seat in the student lounge, the French doors that led to the outside promenade wide open as she absorbed the light and recharged silently—Again reading Wuthering Heights.

Her thoughts drifted to Kerrigan... To Carlos.. As they often did when she was alone... Her face hardened. She couldn't let them in again, couldn't afford to be weak again. She had used her powers to avoid Carlos, and had picked up some of her things from her dorm when Kerrigan was out.

Narcissa had built a wall of ice around her heart, and it wasn’t likely to melt anytime soon.

Alpha: Back Forest - What Happened?User Image

Bella had just been on her way to Gideon’s dorm to do her homework with him when the call from Logan came through her comm. Her head snapped towards it like a hawks would, sharp, fierce in second... Though she knew Logan’s voice as well as her own, she was surprised to hear the differences in his usual gruff tones. Her own powers filtered what he didn’t say, letting her feel it instead... She turned on her heal and ran back to the dorm she shared with Evie, a pink and gold blur.

Isa had a duffel bag over her shoulder. It contained one of Evelyn’s uniforms, a large beach towel, a pair of sneakers, socks, and the least embarrassing undergarments she could find hidden in the bottom. If E needed a new uniform, she most likely needed girly things Logan didn't think about... In retrospect she’d snagged a few bottles of water from their stash in the mini fridge…It didn’t occur to her to grab a medical kit. Evelyn healed almost faster than the eye could follow…Bella held a large blue and black umbrella over her head as she made her way quickly to the back forest. The rain was lessening, and the sun was peeking through… No doubt with Ororo’s influence… But Bella didn’t want her best friends things to be all soggy and cold.

She wore a pair of knee high beige riding boots, a pair of gold form fitting pants tucked into them, and a pink off the shoulder peasant top that cinched to her waist, baring a bit of midriff—Showing off an exotic gold belt that housed pieces of raw topaz. She hadn’t thought to change or swing on a jacket when Logan called… He didn’t page them often. Certainly not Reik, Gideon, and herself for no reason.

Her full lips were set into a concerned frown as she listened for the sounds of metal moving with flesh and bone… If she wasn’t paying attention, she could initially mistake Logan for Gideon from afar and vise versa—But their bio-rhythms were completely different once she focused. Though strangely she could always feel her Rey before she saw or heard him… Like a faint tugging on her being, a magnetic pull that told her ‘This Way’.

She listened harder, throwing her hearing out, and she caught the sound of a lighter… Logan, definitely Logan. Bella picked up her pace, and using her powers seemed to blur from area to area—Moving at the speed of sound. She didn’t break the sound barrier, that was always excessive, but she certainly did hustle… Though, seeing Evelyn in her wolf form unconscious, or nearly there, she breathed in sharply-- Instantly on guard.

What...What happened?”, her voice echoed, trying to catch up with itself as she knelt immediately knelt down near her best friend. Her jade eyes snapped back to Logan looking for answers, sparkling with instant unshed tears… She hated to see anyone hurt, but Evie was special to her—Not actually related, but she always thought of the girl as family… She always had. Ever since they’d been young… They’d really spent the majority of their lives around one another. “Was there a fight? Was it those… those demons? I don’t understand… I didn’t hear anything… I’ve been listening…”

She ran a gentle hand along the barely conscious wolf’s flank, ever so careful, in case something was broken that hadn’t healed… It didn’t even occur to her to be wary that the wolf might be more wolf than Evelyn at the moment. But she did keep close, letting her hand linger near her nose... She knew that when Gideon was upset, her scent would often calm him... Maybe a familiar, friendly, scent to Evelyn would help her. “Did you try the safe word?”

Serenity: The new girl

Serenity sat nervously outside of Emma Frost's office waiting to go in, she twirled her hair with one of her fingers, bit her lip and shook her crossed leg out of nervous habit. She wasn't sure why she had been called here, she was entering her second year at Academy X and she had done her best not to attract negative attention to herself so why was she called on by Emma Frost? Was she being kicked out of the school? Had she done something wrong? Serenity pulled her cell phone out of her pocket for a moment and pressed a button to light up the screen, she looked at the time. Only a few minutes left until her scheduled appointment. She slid the phone back into her pocket and began biting the same finger she had earlier been twirling her hair with in nervousness and then finally the door in front of her opened and Emma Frost was standing before her telling her to walk in. Serenity jumped up out her seat and tripped mid-air over her own foot but caught her balance before actually falling, she blushed and forced a nervous chuckle. Great, this was already starting off well.

About 30 minutes later Serenity walked outside the office looking slightly dazed and confused. She definitely hadn't been kicked out nor done anything wrong. Her head felt like it was spinning from the entire conversation she just had with Emma. She was just told that she had proven herself as being an exceptional student and was being promoted to the Junior X-Men team, the Omega's, to help. She was to pack up her things and move to her new dorm immediately. She quickly walked off to her old dorm, crossing her fingers that her roommate, whom she didn't get along with all that well, wouldn't be in their dorm. Serenity ran as fast as she could up to her dorm and looked around, with a sigh of relief she smiled as the dorm room looked empty and she quickly packed all of her clothing and trinket into her bags.

Much to Serenity's chagrin however, she had only gotten two of the three bags packed before her roommate came crashing into the room boisterously throwing a jacket on to her bed then looked down at Serenity with a raised eyebrow as she noticed the bags that Serenity was packing. "And just where are you going?" Serenity had sat there mouth slightly agape before finally swallowing and speaking up "Well, I... You see I had this meeting today with Emma Frost and..." she trailed off not sure how to explain it but her roommate just crossed her arms "And?" Serenity jumped up and quickly finished packing the second bag and starting on the third as she spoke "Well she's moving me to a new dorm, you see..." her roommate looked displeased "A new dorm? What did you do, complain about me? Have you been spreading some kind of weird lies?" she sounded very agitated then finally Serenity said it "I've been accepted to join one of the Junior X-Men teams." Serenity couldn't make out the expression on her roommates face, it was a look she hadn't seen before. The roommate finally smiled and walked over to Serenity, smacking her roughly on the arm "Good work kid, I'm sure you'll do great." she then proceeded to go to their dorm's bathroom leaving Serenity standing there, confused for a moment.

Serenity grabbed her bags and looked around her old dorm room once more before finally walking out of the room, she made her way across campus to the new dorm area and she looked around, now what room had Emma said she was going to be in again? She couldn't remember so she just stood there dumbfounded hoping to see someone walk out of their room soon.

Adelle sat in the cafeteria after classes, books surrounding her on the table as she typed almost frantically on her laptop. Classes were over, sure, but she had a paper due almost a half hour ago she hadn't completed over the weekend. Between their small get together after the mission, and sleeping, spending needed time with her beau and talking to her parents the day after, homework somehow got lost in translation. An analysis of literary symbolism quickly became a rush against the clock, the blonde checking her watch sporadically as she finished up her conclusion, e-mailing it to Dr. Grey before slumping back in her chair, releasing a held breath. She knew she would hear about that one later, but she hoped the punishment wouldn't be too severe. Adie always took her grades extremely seriously - she had to, or her parents would kill her.

Packing up her things, Adie decided to see if some of her other friends were in their dorms, settling in for a day post-classes. The blonde fiddled with the cream colored scarf around her neck, tossing her natural curls over her shoulder as she made her way through the hallways. She caught sight of Kerrigan disappearing around the corner as she approached, her smile faltering slightly. Of course, Thomas told her what happened when he found out, her heart really going out to the redhead. She was caught in an almost impossible situation, but she had a feeling the Omega would come out of it. She was strong, there was no doubting that, and so she let Kerrigan go, instead turning her attention to Krythin's door.

Knocking a few times, it was clear that her friend wasn't home, a slightly disappointed expression tugging at the corners of her lips. However, crossing her arms over her white dress, the blonde turned to see a new student, looking around like she was confused. Putting on a smile, Adelle approached her, heeled brown boots thudding softly against the floor. When she got close enough, she spoke loud enough so she knew the girl would be able to hear her, holding out a hand to see if she could take some of the bags, or guide her in the right direction.

"Hey, I don't mean to intrude or anything, but you look a little lost. Is there anything I can help with?" She laughed softly as she spoke, tossing blonde curls over her shoulder once more as she smiled at the girl, waiting to see if she could help. She vaguely remembered having a class with the girl at one point, though her name alluded her. Hopefully that wouldn't come back to bite her in the butt.

]Serenity: Junior X-Men Dorms - Still a little fuzzy on the details...

Serenity stood there for a moment frazzled yet excited with the whirlwind of events that had taken place today. She felt slightly overwhelmed but she kept a smile on her face, she knew in her heart things would go well with time. She had heard about the Junior X-Men teams a lot of times but she wasn't certain about their reputation and she didn't really know who any of them were. She spent most of her time away in her dorm studying over the past year, she always sent any kind of report card or grade listing to her parents so staying on top of homework had been important to her. She thought about this for a few moments.

Her thoughts were snapped back to attention by a female voice, it sounded vaguely familiar but not one she heard often. The girl looked familiar, Serenity was pretty sure she had saw her on campus before but she couldn't recall her name.
"Hey, I don't mean to intrude or anything, but you look a little lost. Is there anything I can help with?" Serenity smiled "Oh yes, please! My name is Serenity, Serenity Arai, I was told that I needed to move into my new dorm but I'm really not sure where to go - this morning has been kind of a rush. Emma Frost promoted me this morning to join the Omega Junior X-Men team and I really have no idea where I'm going or what I'm supposed to do even.."

Adelle smiled slightly as the girl responded, saying she was indeed lost. Part of her was a little weary to get involved with an Omega, but all in all, it was for the greater good. If Cissa said anything to her, at least it would mean the blondes having a conversation, and she would have the opportunity to settle a few things. Shaking those thoughts from her head, Adelle smiled at the girl introduced herself as Serenity, showing that she was genuinely glad to meet her again. It made her feel a little better that she hadn't remembered Adie's name either, so it was almost like they were completely starting over.

"Well, congrats on the promotion. Umm, what's your room number? It might help to have two heads take this one on," she said with another soft laugh, moving to help her carry bags as the pair headed in what she hoped was the right direction. She couldn't help but hope she was rooming with someone she knew, but Adie always liked meeting new people.

"So, I bet you're excited about the promotion. It's a whole different experience than being on one of the student teams. I'm sure you'll fit right in," she said with a friendly tone in her voice.

Alphas: Suspicion; Headed to the Cafe'

User ImageIvy was glad not to have too difficult a load of homework. The teachers were still probably going easy on them after the mission, especially because it seemed there were eyes now turning to the institute itself. For some reason, something didn't feel right. It felt as if there was more hostility towards mutants than before. Some nagging detectives and such trying to interview the students; it was sickening.

Ivy needed to get out for a while, blend in with the general populace. Thank goodness her mutation wasn't obvious. She grabbed her school folder and a mechanical pencil, clipping it to the cover. Ivy made her way down the stairs and out the front door, walked down the length of the driveway, and headed towards town.

She made her way to the small cafe' she had ducked into one other time, picking a corner booth. She took her homework out of her folder, spreading it out on the table. It felt good to sit in the silent bustle of the little shop, just to do a little homework. No one knew her, and she didn't know them...but it felt good to be regarded as a human rather than a mutant once in a while. Sure she had her grudges, but at the moment pretending to be normal got her away from those other "normal ones" and their prejudices.

Alpha - Mansion - A Friend in Need Owes Me Big Time

Thomas was abit nervous. Not only did he give his best friend money but he was reduced to stealing for him also apparently. Carlos was more devious then even Thomas gave him credit for. there were few witnesses and to his dismayAdelle was in the girls dorm room area. He moved like a blur between three rooms in and out then escaped only hoping that the breeze he trailed in his wake would go without notice. He ended up in Carlos room handing him something small and shiny, a ring. " You couldn't get it yourself because she can sense you. But what do you plan on doing my friend? Stealing something so important you gave her seems counter productive."

Carlos handed him a note and Thomas took it seeing some instruction written on it. " Your as crazy as she is complex. You know her better then anyone though I'll go along with this." Thomas pet one of the white Ferrets which had asked for attention before he walked out the door. Using his power he was going across the entire school avoiding everyone as he searched. He skidded to a halt in front of Kerrigan almost slipping but recovered just a foot infront of her.

" What a mess... Anyway. Before you do what is expected Carlos wrote a note for you. He's scheming to fix this, He's being alittle over dramatic in my opinion though." Thomas handed the Note to Kerrigan. It was stating what Carlos called the rules of engagement. She's going to be cold, hurtful, and stubborn beyond measure. To get back in her good graces and even come close to telling her what happened, your going to have to go through hell abit. Never back away, even if she becomes hot. And always always persist. If she walks away you follow. Don't let a crowd stop you either. If the friendship isn't as important as everyone's opinion then she herself won't see it's worth. Lastly I'm sorry it happened. Completely my fault. P.S Tip the Messenger. PSS The White Ferret, is cute, help it get close."

Omega - Mansion - She won't incenerate this... I hope

User ImageCarlos was feeding treats to his two new friends as Thomas walked in and handed him the engagement rin he had proposed to Narcissa with. " Your right, I am crazy. And I do know her. That's why I have to do it this way. She thinks I'm playing a game and it was an honest to god accident. Wrong place wrong time. That's why I can't go near her and at the same time do something. She'll try to get back at me, set a trap, and if I don't show, then word of mouth rumors she starts will see me hated by everyone if she can help it.... These Fuzzy ones right now have the best chance of not becoming ash piles. Here... Last thing I need from you." He handed Thomas a note then watched him leave as he whistled and the Ferrets came to stand in front of him on the desk.

They were highly intelligent They learned in a few hours what took Lil Ada his basilisk three months to learn. He took his time writing another note. It didn't matter really at this point when he finished so long as it meant something. As it was He was hoping Kerrigan to win over before he sent the female Ferret, happily named Lulu, to what could be a demise. Cissa was very good at pretending not to be a total girl. The setting stuffed animals ablaze instantly helped that image, but lifeless dolls held little worth in the first place. At her core though, what is cute is cute and if it was alive it was worth protecting especially if it meant something.

From a story of the future he took out of it the Ferret and the name Lulu. Hoping it would at least captivate and melt Cissa's heart long enough for her to read a note and receive the ring. Carlos rolled his finished note and put the ring on it along with a small piece of string around it. He pet the Ferrets and put small collars on the both of them, both having a singular bell and name plates. The larger red eyed male was named Bandito, something random for the time being. They both shook and ruffled their furs before laying down attentive and happy. Carlos sighed and allowed Bandito to crawl up his arm and perch on his shoulder as he picked up Lulu and the note.

The Ferret took the parchment by the string, and Carlos opened his door and set her down. She stayed there looking back at him and he raised his hands to lips to make a whistle. He knew she understood what he wanted her to do and only had faith it would go over well. Otherwise he would feel really really bad. He blew through his fingers and the sound qued the the white fuzzy ball of cuteness to scamper out the room and down the hall, small bell jingling to let any large people know where not to step. Running as fast as her little legs could carry her, Lulu tried not to stop and to avoid anyone. Despite the bell she had moments of silents hiding behind a stand or something. Out of the open it be hard to miss a white moving streak.
