Here is something I've noticed over the years....

They say that the power moons are the full moon and dark moon. But I have always noticed that I always felt the most powerful on the waxing gibbous and dark moon. By the full moon I'm already noticing a power decline.

The interesting thing is I was born on the waxing gibbous and the dark moon is the moon directly across from the waxing gibbous. I was thinking that the "power moons" really are the one you're born on and the one across from it instead of a set full and new for everyone.

(i don't know if this is what you're looking for, but) i believe that different moon phasings have different astrological "uses"....like some spells work better during certain moon phases than others.

Well, for a new moon, it's a bit odd to feel the moon's power at night; you'd feel it during the day, yeah? When I feel power during the new moon, it's at night, so it's not from the moon. It would be from the night itself, or my goddess, or something. Or it's personal energy.

Interesting fact, I was watching a lunar eclipse a couple years ago and expected to feel this mad interesting energy when the moon was eclipsed. Instead there was a dramatic fall-away of energy. Blew my mind. Makes sense, though: none of the sun's energy was being reflected off it.

How is waxing gibbous directly across from the new moon? Is the full moon, yeah? Directly across from waxing gibbous is waning crescent.



Why? How is it different from any other full moon?

I too tend to see the phases as all having equal power but simply having a different type of energy. I try to correspond spell work to the current moon phase. To me the energy is always there. The full moon is my favorite, simply because I can walk outside under it and not have to worry about flashlights or glow sticks.

I feel it pretty good at the full moon, but It really all depends. If I have my cycles show up during afull moon, it's feels very "powerful" to me. ... I bet that sounded werid.
