Harper vows free vote on gay marriage, would respect knots already tied
This is disgusting. This issue has already been settled, and gay marriage is legal in Canada, but this a*****e wants to drag it out again and change the law to define marriage as between a man and a woman. scream

Rick Mercer's latest blog entry makes fun of it, and I know that other people are laughing at Harper, but this doesn't make this any less frustrating.
Lesson: Don't take any civil rights you get for granted, because an a*****e like this is waiting just around the corner to take them away.

And HOW, pray tell, does he suffer from the dellusion that voters are going to change their minds from the first time?

Or was the issue NOT voted on when the decision was first made?

Because, if the latter is the case, whether or not I agree with what he believes, I do side with him that the vote should be open to the public. neutral
