Amethyst *bounds down the stairs to the imposing steel door and darts through without a seconds hesitation* YAY! a Maze this is gonna be sooo awesome, we're gonna find prizes, and monsters and have tons of fun! Right Sis!?!...sis....Sis?!? *turns around* SIDONIE!Sidone *stands three quarters of the way down the stairs, looking at the door, her wings curled in about her shaking slighty*
I'm not so sure about this.... Awwww, come on! You said you'd come with me once I got Em's permission! *dashes back and nudges her sister through the door with her nose* See! We're through the door! Nothing bad! Now- we can stick together or split up-*Sidonie cuts her off* I'm staying with you! Alrighty then, *takes a moment to appraise the two paths* Lets see now....you either go big or go home, so we'll go the dark way...Oh no! I....I mean...they just want you to THINK that the dark way is the way to go- its reverse pshychology, so we should take the nice well lit stair way. Hmm, I think your just scared....or wait! Maybe they just want you to think that they're using reverse psychology....so you think to take the bright path....Now how will we settle it....?*TOGETHER* ROSHAMBO!Rock-Paper-Scissors! 1....2.....3..... *Sidonie throws scissors* *Amethyst throws paper*Well, now that we settled that in a civilized manner, to the well lit beckoning stairway into the earth we go!
*BOTH walk down the brightly lit stair way that slowly decends*

Amethyst and Sidone- Congratulations on choosing your path with rock, paper, scissors like the civilized would! You walk down the brightly-lit path...but you fail to see a black of wood that was haphazardly placed in the way. One - or both - of you takes a tumble into some cobwebs. ICK!
#- Root around...take a look and see if anything is there, causing the crying spiders more distress. [Randomize 1 - 12]
#- Jump up, clean yourself off...and ignore the sticky pile of cobwebs...and continue on.
#- Kick the block of wood after you're done smashing the cobwebs to bits! Stupid people leaving things around! Someone could get hurt!

*naturally Sidone waited for Amethyst to take the lead once the decision was made. Amethyst rushed headlong down the path and tripped spectacularly on the block of wood, tumbling head over tail into the spiders web.*
WHEEE!!!!! *tumble roll thump!* Eww...a spider web...it feels all sticky and soft.... Hmm.....I wonder if anything might have gotten stuck here? *Sets about poking through the web, infernally curious as always*
*Seeing her accident prone sister go tumbling Sidone reacts by spreading her wings and catching a slight bit of air to keep from falling over the top of her sister- having gotten enough bruises that way thank you very much. Looking carefully to see what she's gotten into....*
Aww, come on, lets go....Thats someone's HOME your poking about in!
*she hears the spiders cry and it causes her empathetic nature to flare up. Recognizing that her sister will be who she is, sidone tries to comfort the spiders*
I'm sorry little ones, my sister can be a clutz! She really doesn't mean to hurt you, she's just curious. Please don't cry....Amethyst....poor things.....shhh its ok....lets be on our way....

Amethyst and Sidone- Today is your lucky day, and you come out some cobwebs and a bowl shard richer. The bowl shard is covered too thickly in stick webs to remove. You take it with you and proceed to the intersection. Presently, there is a path to your immediate left and right. Respectively, they are dark and cold, warm and cinnamon scented. The path forward is a median of the two and leads straightaway to a dead end.
#- Go left.
#- Go right.
#- Go forward.

*bounding out of the sticky mess Amethyst triumphantly held the piece of bowl up for her sister to see* Lookie lookie! Its a bowl shard!
*gasps* Really?!? Well then you should be careful with it- we don't want to break it more...*carefully she took it and placed it in the pouch tied around her waist.*
*Prancing excitedly on her paws Amethyst headed ahead looking left, right, and forward* Where now sis? I want to find more stuff!!
*Sidonie studied the path ahead that appeared to be a blend of the two* This appears to be an allegory of life. Light and Dark cannot exist without one another. Just as Warmth and Cold can't. I think there must be something hidden down the path that appears to be a dead end. Lets check it out- you take the bottom, I'll check the top!
That said Sidone flapped her wings and with a short hop she was airborn. Beating her wings strongly she went as high as she could go. She looked below to see Amethyst start on the left- the darker side. Likewise she did the same. Both cautiously used their paws, seeking out irregularities, a hidden catch, or anything to catch their interest.
