The forest is so large a wolf a wolf could run for weeks and never leave its depths, with trees as thick as your body is long. The river that winds lazily through it is crystal clear. There is no smoke or smog; no trash litters the ground. Humans have never touched this place. This is your home. Or it will be soon enough.....

Chael Why do we dream when our thoughts mean nothing?Chaels blue eyes gazed unblinkingly at the hare a few feet infront of her, her haunches lifted slightly in the air, tail held out stiffly behind her white bottom and a determined tick in her jaw as she clamped her mouth shut tightly, trying not to breath to hard. She crawled forward slowly, it had been an agonizing process so far. The hare moved and she held her breath, but it only moved to the next little blades of grass and nibbled on the tips. The wind changed and blew from behind her, and the hare stiffened, lifting its head and gazed directly at her before bolting. She tore after it, so intent on its white little tail she nearly crashed into the tree its hole was under. She shoved her muzzle in the hole, barking and pawing the ground and sighed softly, stepping back and sulking. "Stupid animal." She sighed and paced back and forth before turning around and trotting back towards the den.

/June/ What do you do when your best isn't enough?
A pure white wolf walked through the shadows silently. She limped slightly, her paws cracked and bleeding. Her movements were strange. She walk in a strait line, and even if there was a tree she wouldn't waver. She walk until she was inches away from hitting the tree; then suddenly she'd turn sharply and avoid it. The dappled shadows raced over her pelt as her nose constantly scented the air. Her ear twitched as she heard the rustling of grass near by. As the wind changed the scent of wolf was brought to her. The she wolf flicked her ears but otherwise didn't react.

Chael Why do we dream when our thoughts mean nothing?Chael paused at a snapping twig, her eyes turned in the direction and she held still, scenting the air, though the wind was against her. The form of a white wolf walking caught her attention, it was far off, slightly obscured by the thick bushes. She moved towards the creature with waryness, her ears perked. "Fr- Freeze where you are intruder!" She snarled, even though the growling sounded intimidating her slight stutter was not intimidating at all. Moving towards the beast without much thought of the dangers, the scent of blood tickled her nose as she neared. "I said stop!" She barked again.

~Ash~ Ash yawned and stretched but made no move to get up. She could have sworn she heard something... She shrugged it off. Whatever it was was too far away to bother her. She was currently pirched on the top of a pleasantly sun-warmed boulder at the edge of the river and had no intintions of moving. At least not for another hour or so anyway. Her den was too far back in the trees to get any good sunlight. Such heavenly warm sunlight.... She sighed in pleasure and rolled over to her other side to soak up the heat. It was almost as good as moonlight in her opinion.

Leah I may be happy, but why does it matter? Leah stayed still. Her sleep wasn't letting go and she didn't want it to go. She could sleep in today. The sleep was very comforting and she loved it. The light pulled at her trying to wake her up, but she didn't want to and if she moved away from it she knew she would let go of her sleep. All my feelings are pushed aside to an other day

/June/ What do you do when your best isn't enough?
June turned her head slowly towards the wolf, her pure white eyes catching the light. She slowed her limp until she came to a stop. Her legs felt heavy and thick and with slight annoyance June realized it would take some convincing her legs to get them moving again. She didn't stop because she feared an attack from this wolf; she stopped because the wolf had asked her to. June stood there motionless, waiting to see if the other wolf would approach her or not.

Chael Why do we dream when our thoughts mean nothing? Chael's hackles were raised slightly as she neared, her body rigid, ready for an attack, but when she saw the wolves unnerving white eyes she faltered, nearly saying 'you poor thing,' but held back. Her eyes raked the wolf, relaxing slowly, the female was going to be no trouble, her paws were swollen, the white fur between her toes blood matted. Chael watched a fly land on her forepaw, biting at the blood and raw flesh. She shook her head. "Whats your name?" Her voice held a slight ease to it.

Kain
"Christ how big is this forest.." Kain mumbled out loud to himself as he continued walking. His pelt dotted with blood. Some of it his, some of it other wolves. He had just had one of his usual falling outs with a pack. This one turned violent before he was finally chased off. That must have been two days ago now... at least. Sense then he was just walking. The forest only seemed to get deeper, not that he'd want to find his way out, it just amazed him how deep it went. Little did he know he was headed for more wolves yet again. The blood on his pelt had dried to a crisp shell of his fur, but it still smelt strong, and thus it was mucking up his ability to detect the scents of others. He had no idea if he was near or far from anyone.

~Ash~ Ash wrinkled her nose in disgust as the harsh scent of old blood reached her. Wolf blood. With a frown she rolled onto her belly and glared in the scent's general direction. It was getting stronger, the wounded wolf, or what she assumed was a wounded wolf, seemed to be getting steadily closer. She sighed in resignation and finally sat up to wait. Looks like her nap would be cut short afterall. She breifly considered finding a hiding place to wait and see, but dismissed the idea. Whoever it was hurt and she had the upper ground. The advantage was hers should this turn out to be a threat.

Kain
The large wolf just kept walking on. Not really caring much about anything. He started to realize his hunger was growing. It had been quite awhile sense he last ate anything. As he wondered he stumbled out into a bit of a clearing, a boulder in the middle. More surprising was the female grey wolf sitting on top, looking down at him almost as though she expected him. 'Must have smelt me coming...' He figured. 'Oh well.' He stopped walking and looked up at her, his blank expression not changing in the slightest, not showing fear, respect, compassion, anything. "Do ya got any food?" He finally said, breaking the bit of silence. He asked very bluntly, almost rudely, though it was just the way he was,

~Ash~ Ash stared at the wolf before her. He was big. Really big. And bloody, though it appeared to be dry blood and she had a feeling that a lot of it wasn't his... Didn't he think to bathe? Or at least clean the wounds?! The smell alone would attract other predators looking for an easy meal. It said a lot about his confidence level. Speaking of meal.... "I might have a rabbit or two lying around." she answered with a lazy flick an ear. She had caught them this morning and stowed them away in the back of her den. They were supposed to be her dinner, however, this guy.... He was rude, and he smelt, but he was interesting. And Ash hadn't seen another wolf in weeks. "I suppose you want some?"

Alucard The world is alot darker when you think your alone. Alucard breathed in deeply, he had been following the stank of old blood for some time, keeping his distance, but none the less curious. He had yet to catch a glimps of the wolf whose trail he had crossed over. He paused and lifted his light golden eyes to the sky as a shadow fell over him, watching the hawk circle over his head. There was a hunter one could appreciate. Silent wings carried its body on the thermals, and at a moments notice it would dive and catch an unexpecting rabbit or mouse. His stomach gave a low grumble in protest at the thought of a fresh meal. He sighed softly, he had been picking the meat off of other things kills, a scavenger, he needed real substanance. He gazed at the hawk, willing it to attack an animal, he would attack it and it would feed him well, along with whatever it had caught. He sat down, ears perked, expecting it to dive any minute.
And time kept ticking.
After several long agonizing minutes of not moving, not even to blink he sighed and glanced away from the bird, one ear flicking back against his dirty brown fur. Fwuamp He jerked and jumped up at the noise, catching the sight of the bird of prey snatching a rabbit from the ground. With a determined growl he bolted towards it as the animal raised into the air, launching, teeth snapping onto fur. A ripping noise came from the rabbit, and the bird screamed in protest, Alucard landed on all fours, the leg of the rabbit dangling between his jaws as he watched the bird of prey land on a branch and glare at him before ripping into the now lifeless body. With a grunt he dropped the leg and ripped into it silently, eating everything except the hair. crunching the bones between his strong jaws and swallowing them. He needed food, soon.

/June/ What do you do when your best isn't enough?
June stood, her sightless eyes not seeing the aggression in the other wolf's stance. Up close it reviled that under June's thick white pelt, bones showed themselves cruelly. June managed to hunt, but the prey got away from her more often then it did for a normal wolf. June flicked her ear at the sound of the she wolf''s voice; instantly memorizing the sound and linking it to her scent in her mind. "June." She answered simply in a soft voice. It was the voice of one who didn't speak often. June could not remember the last time she spoke to another wolf.

Chael Why do we dream when our thoughts mean nothing? The fraze "nothing but skin and bones" entered her head and she cocked her head to the side slightly. "June." she repeated softly, putting the name, scent, and apperance into mind before tucking it away. "I am Chael. Come on, you look like you could use a rest June." She said, relaxing her rigid stance and wagging her tail from side to side. "I know of a place where you can rest."
