I know for a fact that depending where you are from, fashion changes. It could be because of the climate, or the culture itself. I've lived and visited a few different places around the world, and have seen dramatic changes in certain types of fashion.
For example. France during winter has nice fluffy probably NOT faux-fur coats, nice gloves and boots.
Where I live in Honduras, you will never see that. Unless some creepy Artic cycle got to us by some creepy miracle. Here, you see a lot of leggings, like, a lot, and a lot of big belts to wrap around somewhat loose shirts or dresses. You might see boots, but not really. Because of the climate people dress a bit more... "skin-open" (Don't know how to phrase it lol). It took a long time for the scarves fashion to come in cause of the heat all year long here, but it finally sinked in a bit, but I can see it fading again. I'm one of the survivors lol.
Another thing here is the usage of a lot of "not that expensive" bracelettes on ONE arm. Usually they mean things, like friendship, and they're all types of colors and shapes. They're usually made from cloth or metal, nothing too fancy, and they're never taken off. People love that here!
So where are you from? What are the common fashion trends there and things you never see people wear? How about things people wear a lot?
Share! : )

I'm from the U.S.A., and here, there seems to be a great mix of fashion. I grew up in the South, so most of my peers wear plain flared jeans and tee shirts, but I prefer the layering of thin fabrics, skinny jeans, and boots. I like the "city" look, and I appreciate vintage and "antique" finds.
In the summer, I pair shorts with flats or neat sandals with loose tank tops and flowing vests.
Really, I will wear almost anything, if I feel that it's flattering. I like to mix colors and patterns.

Missourian here <3
We have some insane fashions in the Midwest, probably because it's cheaper here than like on the coasts.
Skinny jeans dominate everything, no matter what kind of girl or who they hang out with. From scenesters to emos to preppy kids.
But unfortunately with teenagers, name brands are the dominating force. Apparently having the word Hollister branded on your chest makes you cool. And if the person doesn't do that, then they plaster band names on themselves.
So it's just kind of interesting.

I'm British. XD And I'm somewhere on the spectrum between emo, punk and general tomboy, and sometimes gothic, depending on your viewpoint.
It varies quite a bit depending on where you are.
Here in Brighton, though, there is a bit of everything. It's a diverse city; influences from around the world gather here. And there is pretty much anything and everything here. From traditional hippies to cyber-punk and even steampunk. With varying degrees of exposure that's relative to temperature. In Essex, though... it's more toned down. In Essex, people tend to keep it simple and wear what they feel comfortable wearing. There doesn't seem to be any preference for brands (apart from large designers), and people like to keep covered up. Well, it is pretty cold compared to Brighton.

I'm from... everywhere? XD
Well currently I'm from Georgia. A smaller town, so to be honest I don't see a lot of fashion. The style here is pretty casual and conservative. As far as my age group goes, I see a lot of logo tees and jeans. But I'm a short drive away from Savannah, which has a lot more in that aspect. My personal favorites are the SCAD students. A lot of them have amazing style. =)
Before I lived here, I lived in a small town in northern California, which is where I picked up the style I wear now... as well as the many others I've gone through. It was a big fashion melting pot over there.
As far as Texas goes... I was too young to care about fashion back then. I had more important things to do, like chasing lizards and bugs. XD

Although I practically grew up living in East Manhattan. I'm in the city every week.

I am from Canada.
I don't notice the fashion here much unless I am downtown. My school dresses very casual: UGGs skinny jeans, shirt.
I live in a very casual area of the city as well. Heels are normally not over 2". Again, unless you are downtown, then they are as tall as you want.
It gets very cold here but people suck it up and wear what they want. 4laugh
