Sumi-e looked at the door doubtfully, then back over his shoulder at Melloon "Are you sure there is treasure down in here?"
"Of coarse!" she said, laughing. She paused, and said thoughtfully "Well, that what I was told anyway...."
Sumi-e sighed, brown sides expanding, the cherry blossom markings wavering with his fur, as if they were trying to fall to earth like their real counterparts. The door was big and heavy-looking. There was no way someone could open it. And then, one day, it opened, and many Noodles and guardians were making their way into the portal, lured by the thought of adventure and loot. He sighed again, and then barked as Melloon pushed him into the doorway.
"Let's go!" she said loudly, running past him. A few yard ahead, the path branched off into two smaller paths. Here Melloon stopped and pondered, staring at the paths, one leading into darkness, the other going down deeper into the ground.
He pushed past Melloon, staring at the paths for a moment, then choosing the stairs that went down deeper into the earth and calling back "Are you coming?!
"well...yeah!" Melloon shouted back, running down the stairs "Wait up!

Melloon and Sumi-e- Ahh, another pair that believe that going together is the best way to solve something! The two of you have a nice morning walk, where you talk about your feelings or gushy feelings or whatever kids do now-and-days. After a while, you reach a branch of paths.
#- Go left, where you the smell of cinnamon buns attracts even the coldest of hearts #- Go forward, where it appears to be a short path #- Go right, another short path #- Deciding is too hard, take a break. Have a picnic and eat delicious chocolate you conveniently found.

Melloon stopped after a time, inhaling deeply. "I smell cinnamon." She said, looking to the left, eyed half closed as she inhaled something other than mold and wet-ness. "That smells heavenly!"
Sumi-e sniffed, and said "It could be a trap.", he said cautiously, staring at the other two paths. "Maybe we should take one of these paths. I mean, they look pretty short..."
"But...I'm hungry." Melloon pouted, plopping down on the ground. She jumped back up a second later, picking something up from the ground. She gasped as she turned the square object in her hands "It's chocolate!" She held it up for Sumi-e to look at. "I SO call this!"
Sumi-e grimaced. "You found that on the ground." He said, turning to look straight ahead. "Well if you are going to sit here and eat, then I will go on ahead. I'll go straight, so catch up to me when you are done."

Sumi-e- You are not lazy and decide not to take the potentially poisoned chocolate. Taking the forward path leads you to a hall of violent war tapestries depicted with angels and demons. A treasure chest is at the end and ... something red is leaking out of it?
#- ITS KETCHUP. OPEN IT. [Randomize 1-12] #- It might be blood, leave it and turn back to your partner.
Melloon- The chocolate was smooth and delicioussss~ You see Sumi taking the forward path.
#- Follow Sumi-e! #- To the left, to the left. #- Right! I can smell cinnamon!

Sumi-e: Walking down the hall, Sumi-e started to get the creeps. The tapestries around him were gruesome at best, disturbing to look at. He paused in front of one, with angels and demons plastered over it in some epic battle and he tilted his head to one side, squinting at it and trying to catch the meaning of the artwork. He took a step forward while still looking at the tapestry, and bumped into something on the ground. He looked down, seeing what looked like a treasure chest laying in the middle of the floor. Something red was oozing out of it. Sumi-e paused, thinking Curious. What could be in here? Deciding to open the case, he carefully undid the latch, peering into the dark.
Melloon: She licked her lips, satisfied, looking about for any other tasty sweets to devour. Her hunger still remained, and the smell of cinnamon was too much to pass up. Getting up from the ground, she called to Sumi-e "I'm right behind you! Just...give me a moment...." Before Sneaking down the right hallway, toward the cinnamon smell.

Sumi-e- The fire that was there pitifully sputtered out as you lifted the lid, finding absolutely nothing in the chest. What a disappointment; you head back. Do you follow Melloon now, or do you take the other short path?
#- Try the other short path. #- Follow Melloon.
Melloon- You follow your nose and wind up at your next set of choices. Do you go right or left? To your left, the hall dims, but to the right, the fragrant cinnabuns smell is there.
#- Go right. #- Go left.

Sumi-e: Nothing in there but a melted candle! So the red stuff was wax! Sumi-e slammed the lid back down in frustration. This was turning out to be the lamest maze ever! Pouting, he turned back and found that Melloon was gone. "Following her stomach, no doubt." he said grumpily, turning to the other path. Well, Melloon ditched him, so why can't he do the same? He started down the other short path, pausing once to look behind him.
Melloon: The smell was intensifying, and Melloon sighed as she followed her nose down the path, which soon forked to the right or left. She inhaled in each passageway, finding the right held a stronger cinnamon scent. Taking the right path, She hoped that whatever was making that heavenly smell wasn't going to eat her instead.

Sumi-e- You come up to a brick wall. It looks sturdy enough, save for a loose brick. Try to pull it out?
#- Pull it out. [ Randomize 1 - 12 ] #- Turn around and follow Melloon.
Melloon- It isn't long before you come to your next set of choices. Ahead is a dead end, but there's a lumpy pile of cloth...to your right, the light and smell continues to grow.
#- Investigate the pile of cloth! [ Randomize 1 - 12 ] #- Turn and follow the smell.
Please Note! If both attempt to investigate, simply roll two, 12-sided dice.

Sumi-e: A brick wall!? Sumi-e growled in irritation, noticing a loose brick. He grabbed hold of the brick, yanking hard.
Melloon: Melloon followed the smell, and came to another path fork. A piece of cloth lay in a dead end, with the other path smelling still of cinnamon. She looked from side to side, finally choosing to investigate the cloth before continuing to follow the smell.

Sumi-e- What luck! You pull out a shard of a bowl; it's coloured as a ripe pumpkin would be...and it seems to have a bone pattern to it. Now, rush and follow Melloon! But wait, which way did she go? Left, towards the gloom, or right, towards the smell of cinnabuns? Wait, which way do you want to go?
#- Left. #- Right.
Melloon- Isn't this your lucky day? You pull out a shard of a bowl. It's dark green with a pattern in soft white. Tucking it away, you come to your next choice. To your left, a hallway grows dim, and there's a fiery heat emanating from it. just off of that is a small alcove with a shiny red crystal on top of a silver pedestal, and straight leads you towards light.
#- Try and take the crystal! #- Move down the heated path. #- Continue towards the light.
[This is your last response for 24 hours.]

Sumi-e: He looked at the shard of bowl curiously, smelling it to see if it smelled like a pumpkin, since it certainly looked like one. Realizing he wasn't finding Melloon by standing around, he ran to another fork in the road. He chose the one going toward the cinnamon smell, knowing that she would choose that path.
Melloon: She picked up the shard, green and white paint glowing softly in the dim light. Melloon pocketed the piece carefully, and continued down the path. Suddenly, she could see a shiny red crystal sitting atop a silver pedestal off to the left. The jewel was so alluring, sparkling in the faint light. She could easily take the thing......Melloon shook her head quietly, continuing to follow the light.
