Elyo looked at Kenra, and noticed that she seemed rather unresponsive - unaffected by the whole ordeal. But Elyo, inside, was quite shaken. Ruler had thrown him into this situation without any thought, it seemed! There were many much better suited for a trip into the deep, depths of the earth than him. Heidi, Indi... Pretty much any of them, really. But no - Ruler had decided that this would be a fun birthday treat for him. Fun. Yeah, right. Elyo hesitantly took a step toward the brightly-lit stairs, and continued to descend down into unknown depths.
Kenra hardly glanced at Elyo as he shakily took his steps toward the stairs. She was definitely not sticking with him; chances were that he'd feint before he reached whatever was at the bottom of the stairs anyway. That being said, she headed off to the dark path on the right; and rather non-chalantly, at that.

Elyo- Sad little thing, being stuck in a cavernous maze on your birthday. Maybe you should have planned your own party. Either way the stairs lead you to a lit hall with ornate carvings adorning the walls here. You smell cinnamon up ahead and discover three ways to go with no distinctions between them.
#- Go forward. #- Go left. #- Go right.
Kenra- You skip happily down the stairs, uncaring about abandoning your friend near his birthday. Tsk. Tsk. Cruel. You trek down the long slope before reaching an intersection which leaves you nonplussed. Both ways looks exactly the same.
#- Go forward. #- Go left.

Coming down to the bottom of the stairs, Elyo looked around. He could see three different directions in which to go, but nothing that told him what hid in the shadows further down the paths. Suddenly, the comforting smell of Cinnamon wafted through the air and was caught by his nose. Elyo smiled, and walked forward without even consciously deciding to do so.
Yawning, Kenra found that she hadn't gotten enough sleep last night. She frowned. She usually never got enough sleep, but normally it wouldn't bother her like this - what with the yawning. It was very strange indeed. Ignoring that, Kenra reached a fork in the path. Without missing a beat, she turned left and continued on her way.

Elyo- You soon come to an alcove. There's dust and grime everywhere. In the corner is a chest with the lock snapped off. Do you go investigate it, or ignore it and turn back?
#- Investigate! [ Randomize 1 - 12] #- Ignore it and go back, and towards the light once again.
Kenra- You drag yourself down the left path, and you're plunged into darkness, missing a turn that was nothing more than a dead end, but rounding the corner further ahead after bumping into a wall. The path is long and boring, but soon you come to a choice. Right or left. Both paths look similar, but you get the feeling the one to the right might be a dead-end.
#- Left. #- Right.

Elyo wrinkled his nose. The alcove he came to was filled with dust and grime and who knew what else was lurking in the shadows. But in the corner there was a chest. Smiling, Elyo sauntered over to it and began to investigate.
Kenra had the feeling that one of the two paths was a dead end. But even with this strange, nagging feeling she decided to go right - maybe the feeling was telling her that she would find something good? She could never tell with these feelings of hers any more. Bummer.

Elyo- You pull out an unlit torch! Well, this might be useful later on, so you stuff it away. Chances are the dead end would have nothing of importance, but do you stray that way anyway? If you do, you find a brick wall with a loose brick.
#- Walk towards the wall and try to move the brick. [ Randomize 1 - 12 ] #- Take the other path and carry on.
Kenra- As you move down the right path, a loud croaking grabs your attention. A frog is seated on a wicker basket, and he's all tough and "gangsta". He croaks a few insults and flips you the frog-bird. Is there something inside the wicker basket? Do you try and coax the wicked frog off, or do you walk away?
#- Try and coax him off. #- Turn and go back the other way.

Pulling out an unlit torch, Elyo grinned in triumph. He then stuffed it away, he headed toward the dead end. Maybe he would find something useful there? Leaning in toward the wall, he spotted a loose brick. "Hmm," he muttered. Without hesitation, he moved toward the wall and tried to move the brick.
Whipping her head around, Kenra hear a loud croaking, and soon spotted the culprit. A dark green frog sat on a wicker basket - he seemed to be guarding something! As she leaned closer, the croaking got louder. She frowned and pulled back, but before she did she noticed something about the frock - he seemed to have a giant gold chain around his neck, with the face of a wristwatch attached. 'Wtf?' Kenra thought, scrunching her face up in question. But as she stared at the basket, she decided to ignore the fact that the frog seemed to be posing at "Flava Flave!" and tried to coax him off; mustering as much nice-ness in her voice as she possibly could.
