No then, as we all may or may not know, along time ago there was a great hero; the Hero of time, whom help the Triforce of Courage. He saved the land of Hyrule from the holder of the great Triforce of Power, The King of Thieves himself, Ganondorf. The Hero of Time need help, though. He got help from the six sages; one of the Forest, one of Fire, one of Water, one of the Shadows, one of Spirit, and the last - believed to be princess Zelda her self, the holder of the Triforce of Wisdom- the sage of Light. The Hero of Time fought Ganondorf in an epic battle, as the sages sealed Ganon away. But, little did they know, Ganon had a child who was capable of wilding the Triforce of power one the child's father had died. Once Ganondorf was sealed, the Great Hero mysteriously disappeared- but not before conceiving a child with who was believed to be a farm girl named Malon. The Sages also had children of their own that carried on their family sagely powers. After many generations, all of their bloodlines mingled and mixed causing the Triforce to break into six pieces; two of Wisdom, two of Power, and two of Courage. And each holder of the Triforce also has the powers of one of the sages long past.
If you are the holder of part of a Triforce of Courage, that dose not mean you must be good like the Hero of Time, and if you hold Power you do not have to be Evil like the King of Thieves. You are free to choose your own path, but be wary, for some of the fellow sages whom are also holders of the Triforce may choose to be against you.
