Infi looked between the two paths, not sure which to choose. Neither seemed very safe, and either way Hyorinmaru would probably do better without her. "Alright, I'll take the dark path, I'm already pretty use to sneaking around the house at night." Secretly though she wanted to take the one that descended into the earth- but what stopped her was all the movies she had already watched.
Hyorinmaru did not respond, and without an utter he turned and took the lighter path, quickly disappearing down the stairs. He hadn't wanted to do this from the beginning, but it seemed now there was no turning back.
Infi pouted, feeling a little hurt at being practically ignored. "Bye and good luck to you too!" She called, before entering the darkness with a sigh.

Infi- Taking the darker path leads you into the chilly shadows beneath the earth. The path goes softly downwards as you tread the stone floors and it sweeps down until it stops and you reach an intersection. The right is warmer. The left is colder.
Both are dark.
#- Go right.
#- Go left.
Hyorinmaru- You stotically take the path called light, though who is to say evils can't be in the brightness? You exit off the staircase into a long hallway where you soon reach the end. Three directions to go in await you here. To the west it's brighter and cinnamon scents waft from there. To the north is a partially lit area with tapestries on the wall. To the east is a path completely shrouded in darkness.
#- Go north.
#- Go east.
#- Go west.

Infi blinked. The colder path or the warmer? Well, it was October, so since the weather is getting cooler why not go down the cooler path? She thought left and lefties were awesome anyways. With a pathetic whistle she headed down the left.
Hyorinmaru wrinkled his nose at the west path. If he and Infi had anything in common it was a dislike for strong cinnamon, so chances were the smell would get stronger if he went down it. The north was more appealing, but it could just be appearance... The dark side... didn't Infi just go down a path like that? With the same composure he went north.

Infi- Your whistling echos down the halls and suddenly something hits you in the face! It's furry and doesn't taste good. It's a bat! It soon flies off after it accidentally molests you in the face and you round a corner. You walk a loooong ways and then come to a decision. A path heads off to the right or you can continue and go left.
#- Go right.
#- Go left.
Hyorinmaru- As you head forward you brush against the royal tapestries hanging from the walls and bits of dust shake down on you. You find a chest at the end of this short path.
#- Investigate [Randomize 1-12]
#- Ignore it and leave.
#- Pay a $75 luxury tax.

After a surprised shout Infi spat the taste out of her mouth. Ughh... She reminded herself to be a little more quiet. After the drawling walk she looked between the two paths. She had just gone left, hadn't she? So a right wouldn't hurt for variety.
After brushing off some of the dust that had landed on him Hyorinmaru examined the chest. Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back, right? How stupid. Rolling his eyes to himself he investigated the chest, not very interested on what could be inside of it.

Infi- Variety can be as hurtful as the same. You come to a dead end.... with a brick wall.. and nothing.
You turn back out and head up the path further until you reach a choice between left and right again. The air is tinged with the smell of damp earth to the left while you hear something slimy and odd to the right.
#- The earth is safer, that's why we stand on it. LEFT.
#- I wanna see the slimy thing!
Hyorinmaru- The chest is empty and dust ridden to your vast disappointment, you turn back the other way faced with going either right to the light or left because you can't go back the way you came.
#- To the left! To the left.
#- Take the right, young padawan.

The earthy scent brought a nostalgic-like feeling to Infi, but dude, of course she would want to see the slimy thing! So naturally she head off to the right, preparing herself for whatever it may be. Just a quick peak if it's something that I'd usually avoid.~ She thought to herself as she rubbed her hands together, trying to pretend that she didn't regret her decision or anything.
Hyorinmaru frowned. Well that was quite anticlimactic. He wondered if Infi was having any luck with the maze, but the thought only stayed with him a moment before he decided to head on. Looking between the two paths he went right, hoping he wouldn't end up at another dead end.

Infi- A frog greets you. He sits upon a woven basket and looks ver onious for his size. He's just putting a show on to protect his basket.
#- Convince the frog to move and look in the basket. [Randomize 1-12]
#- Leave and go the other way.
Hyorinmaru- Going right turns you out into a wider hall of the maze. Light emanates from around, mostly coming from the right.
#- Turn left.
#- Go right.

Frog... harmless. A moment of consideration passed through her mind on just leaving the frog and basket alone- but then she would never get to see what was inside! Walking on over, thankful she wasn't afraid of insects, amphibians, and reptiles, she began to try and convince the frog to step aside. Just for a moment.
Hyorinmaru blinked his eyes, adjusting from all the changes in lighting. He took the dark path and he was definitely going to stick to it! Mostly. He took the left.

Infi- The slimy frog stared you down for a moment before leaping aside and allowing you to search the basket. Inside lies a shard of a bowl with a bandage around it that covers its bulk. You pocket it, turn back, and head down the path you didn't take before. Its a four way intersection, with paths to your right, left, and forward. Forward leads to what feels like a war of, for lack of a better word, the gods. Right it is plain and cool, and to the left its chilly and feels like a mountain.
#- Continue forward.
#- Go left.
#- Go right.Hyorinmaru- The changes in lighting were more gradual than they would be sudden, nevertheless you're taken to a crossroad. Rightward leads to what appears to be a dead end, while left is a well lit route continuing on for a while.
#- Go right.

Infi decided to continue forward, beginning to dislike making so many decisions. As she did so promised herself not to take out the shard and fiddle with it- as surely she would eventually drop it. And that would be quite the downer for both her and the bowl. She looks around with hands in pockets, getting pumped for what was next in the maze.
Hyorinmaru went right, curious if it really was a a dead end. Either way, if it was and nothing interesting was there he could always just turn back and take the left, right? (In truth he had no idea if he could, as this was a rather long maze and all.)
