Taru walked down to the basement of The Lucky Noodle, irritated at the amount of energy Dagger seemed to be displaying. She won't be like that after spending a few minutes in this creepy place. He wasn't even sure why he was going. He hated the idea of getting lost, especially in the dark, with absolutely no idea of what the hell he should do. But he loved adventure. The two of them stopped at a split in the path.

Dagger looked from the bright stairs to the dark path, unsure of which way they should go. Finally she thought of an idea, although she didn't like the thought of leaving Taru and exploring by herself.
"Hey... do you think maybe we should split up? I can take the stairs and you can take the path...?"

Taru walked down the dark path without saying anything, glad to be rid of her. He glanced back over his should to see Dagger slowly descending the bright stairs. He found himself wondering if splitting up was a good idea, but soon shook that thought away, and started his own adventure.

Taru- You take the darker path leaving poor Dagger to fend for herself. You're immersed in darkness with only as much light as you need to navigate without molesting the walls. You come to an intersection. To the right it's brighter and warmer while the left continues in the darkness.

#- Go left.
#- Go right.
#- Go back and join Dagger.

Dagger- Descending the stairs after your haughty noodle leaves you be, you walk down the hall admiring the stone walls. A carving catches your eye and you stop to look. You see the words Lost the Game before you trip and fall into a pile of cobwebs.

#- Investigate [Randomize 1-12]
#- Shout "I LOST THE GAME" to see if anyone hears it.
#- Ignore it and continue forward.

Taru paused. To his right was warmth and light that seemed to call to him. He thought about going that way for a good while. After all, it was less scary. But finally he decided to take the darker path. He figured the light would just lead him outside or something, and he wasn't done exploring. So once more he was cloaked in darkness, hoping that he wouldn't hurt himself against the walls.

Dagger was irritated at first that such a stupid sentence would be carved here. She hated the game with a burning passion. So instead of playing along and shouting out to no one that she lost, she decided to investigate the pile of webs she had fallen into.

Taru- You leave the intersection of light and dark and arrive at an area with the path you travel going left and around a corner and an offshoot to the right. Both places are quite nondescript.

#- Go left.
#- Go right.

Dagger- The wall apologizes for being carved that way. You pull the most useful item you could get out of the cobwebs. An unlit torch! Since it's not pocket size, you strap it to your back or something. Continuing from the lovely pile of webs after you get up is an 3-way parting a the end of the hall. The left is lit beautifully while forward and right are dark.

#- Go left.
#- Go right.
#- Go forward.

Taru wondered for a while as to which path he should take. He couldn't see very well, and it didn't look like either path was more interesting than the other. Finally he decided to go left and try to see what was around the corner.

Oh boy, an unlit torch! What they hey am I supposed to do with this? Ah well, at least it can be used as a weapon of some sort, should I actually need a weapon. Dagger continued on her way and stopped at the three way parting. She felt herself wanting to go more to the left, since the other paths were dark and scary, so she went left. Liggghhhhht...

Taru- It takes ages, and ages and ages...and still more time. Will this blasted path ever end? It seems to go on forever! Before you can start dealing out some serious a**-kicking, you finally come upon another fork in the road! To your left, there's another dark path, and if you continue forwards...well, guess what?! Another dark path!

#- Go left.
#- Stay on course. Forward-ho!

Dagger- You take the brighter path, and the scent of cinnamon wafts around you...but all too soon, you must make another decision. The path to the left gets a tiny bit more dim - and you could swear you catch a whiff of stale air - while the path to your right stays bright and shining...filled with the smell of more cinnamon. What do you choose?

#- Let's see what the slightly darker path has to offer!
#- Stick to the light. What a pansy.

Taru was irritated now. By the time he got to the fork in the path, he already decided that he did not want to stay on this path. If there was a turn onto another path, he would take it. And so, he went left.

Dagger didn't even pause to think about which path she should take. Like the pansy that she is, she followed the light and smell of cinnamon. This cinnamon is making me so hungry...

Taru- Guess what? You should have stayed going straight. You come to a dead end, but your foot brushes something. Do you see what it is, or turn back?

#- Investigate [ Randomize 1 - 12 ]
#- Turn back.

Dagger- Soon enough, you come to another decision. Up ahead is obviously a dead end, bu you can just see a pile of cloth that could be hiding just about anything. To your right, the light continues to grow.

#- Investigate the cloth! [ Randomize 1 - 12 ]
#- Turn right.

Please Note! If you decide to have both foxes investigate, simply roll two, 12-sided dice.

Taru silently cursed to himself as he came to a dead end. As he turned to try a different path, his foot brushed something. He crouched, trying to figure out what it was.

Dagger paused. The light to her right was tempting, but her curiosity forced her to move to the pile of cloth. She searched through it, trying to find if maybe something was hidden in it.

Taru- You pull a shard of a bowl out of the bag and look over it. It has symbols all over and seems to smell like fish.

#- Keep it.
#- Throw it away.

Dagger- You find a lovely pair of chopsticks in the bag and immediately pocket them. You head toward the light now and then you spot an offshoot to the left.

#- Go left.
#- Go forward
#- Go die in some random corner.

Taru sat staring closely at the shard. It looked like junk and he didn't like the smell. Was there any reason to take it with him..? Well... it was sharp... In the end he decided to keep it.

Dagger walked on, happy with her new chopsticks, until she came to an offshoot to the left. Both the forward path and the path to the left looked okay to go... She wasn't sure which one to choose. She knew that she definitely wasn't going to die in some random corner... Finally she decided to take the offshoot to the left.
