 As they step through the portal Josh is worried, fearing the worst. However, what he sees isn't too bad. There's one path the has stairs that go straight down, and another path that goes into the darkness.
"Okay, I say we should head down. I mean, hopefully there's some light down there or something."
"Please" Taji snorted back. "Where's your sense of adventure? I think we should head over there" She nodded to the darkness. "Just imagine all of the creepy things we can find."
"I'd rather not think about that" Josh replied with a troubled look.
"Fine, but I'm leaving so if you want to follow me you better start now!" Taji whirled around and raced into the darkness.
Josh sighed. Taji was always one to cause trouble, but she could hold her own, that he knew. He turned around and started the descent down into the earth, growing farther away from his protection.

Josh- Your sense is right and the stairs seem to get better lit the more you descend. You go across a flat portion of the hall after the staircase and come to a three way intersection. The left is lit by a warm glow. The right path is the darkest to which you can't see the end. The forward path is partially lit by the light from the left path but you still can't see an end.
#- Go right.
#- Go left.
#- Go forward.
Taji- Your speedy entrance into the more shaded path leads you quickly to an cross between two paths. The right way seems lighter like Josh had hoped for in his way down, while the left path is enclosed in the darkness you wanted.
#- Go right.
#- Go left.

Josh: *Examines the room around him. Examining the light from the left and in front of him. He thinks about what Taji would say if he followed his instincts and going into the bright path.* Well, I guess I'll never know unless I try. *He gulped as he stepped ahead into the darkness straight ahead of him.*
Taji: *Comes to the cross in the path and sees the light to her right. Scoffing she whips around and heads into the darkness to her left.* Please, I want to actually have fun down here. Why would I go somewhere that seems safe?

Josh- By your lucky instincts! You've found something at the end of the path. Other than the end, I mean. A chest sits before you.
#- Open it. [Randomize 1-12]
#- Ignore it and turn back.
#- Suicide and see if the chest is actually a respawn point.
Taji- Your quick choice into the darkness leads you to another fork in the road. Go forward and around a corner or take the right path?
#- Go right.
#- Continue forward.

Josh: Well I better hope my gut is right. *Pulls out a knife from his pocket* And here I thought I would need this for protection. Oh well, here goes nothing. *Josh readies the knife which extends into a small wakasazhi with a click of a button. He stabs himself and collapses onto the ground.*
Taji:*Sees the path to the right but is running to fast to take it. She continues sprinting foward and skids around the corner.*

Josh- Well good job. You died. But not really. You are in a spinning vortex that feels slimy somehow but doesn't make you feel dizzy. Lights flash and then suddenly you pop into exsistance. You fall a foot or two and land in a pile of ashes where your butt hits something pointy. Your wound is gone and the knife is now a banana. The area where you are at is as well lit as a football stadium at night but with a warmer yellow glow. The air is at a comfortably warm temperature and you swear you smell Cinnabuns.
#- Investigate what you landed on. [Randomize 1-12]
#- Go left to the dimmer halls and earthy smells.
#- Go right to the light and sweet scents.
Taji- Skidding past the corner you arrive at another intersection. There is another path to the right but it seems that it might be a dead end. The path in front of you continues on.
#- Go right.
#- Go forward.

Josh: Hmm. That hurt. Wait? Where am I? *Looks around* Hmmm. *Sniffs* Is that... cinnabuns? I'll need to check that out later. *Looks down a pulls out a banana but still feels something under him* What the? *Reaches into the ash and...*
Taji:*Finally slows down a little bit and sees the path to her right out of the corner of her eye. Debates going down it but then sees the wall* Well that's no fun. Why would a maze have an obvious wall in a maze? *Continues on forward instead.*
Is this my last reply or do I have 1 more?

Josh- You pull a pair of beads from beneath your butt. They are beautifully painted and thankfully don't smell like your behind. You pocket these and now have a choice, once you dust yourself off that is, go left into the fading light or right where it's brighter and that cinnamon smell is coming from.
#- Go left.
#- Go right.Taji- The intersection you come across after avoiding that last one is not just another way to go. The main path literally splits into two. Left leads you deeper into the mysterious darkness of the maze while right is just a variable unknown.
#- Go right.
#- Go left.

Josh- After losing your Ipod in the pile of ash, you decide it isn't worth to look for it because it won't let you type that much. You take the right path and come to another intersection. Here to the right it leads to the light source and you swear the place is cleaner around here. To the left is some crossroads.
#- Go left.
#- Go right.Taji- You turn and now have three ways to go. The forward path draws you toward it while the left path does as well. The right is lonely and smells of cinnamon. Three different choices, where will you go?
#- Go right.
#- Go left.
#- Go forward.

Josh: Hmmm. Well seeing how I've been going through the dark this whole time, I think I'll head to the right. After all, maybe something will be down there?

 Josh- "Care for a cinnamon bun?" A colorful noodle asked, and you see her placing a tray of steaming buns next to a line of more of the same. She has pastel hair and beautiful, enormous angel wings. "There is milk and tea as well, if you'd like. I've a few questions to ask you, so if you'd like to leave I suppose its best you do so now." She seemed scatterbrained, but got the point across rather quick.
#- Grab some pastries, a drink, and take a seat.
#- Ask her whatever comes to your mind when you see an angel baking cinnamon buns in a maze of doom.
#- Turn and flee.Taji- Here, it is cold. The temperature practically chills you to be bone. The air is mountainous and the lack of oxygen makes you lightheaded. This is the sort of place you'd expect to see snow. As you walk, you come to a crossroads. The path to the right leads down and back the way you came, and to the left it is more mountainous still and seems to have a lot of halls branching off it.
#- Go left.
#- Go right.

Josh: *Finally glad to see someone down here (especially not a demon or a zombie) I grab a cinnamon bun and a drink and sit down.* "Well?" I ask "What do you want to talk about?"
Taji: "What the? This starting to get kinda weird" *Taji slowly looks at the crossroads and decides to take a left.* "Well, I can't wimp out now. Can I?"

Josh- "Well it's my challenge really. I ask questions you anwser. I'm in a bit of a rush so we'll start now, yes?" The angelic female proclaimed. "No backing out now I'm afraid. What is it you most want?" Her voice echoed, the words filling your brain and giving you four answers to choose from.
#- Power.
#- Wealth.
#- Atonement.
#- Knowledge.Taji- You follow the hilly descent further into the steady but not icy chill. Bones scatter the floor here and there and as you go further the walls are more and more coated with plant life. You stop at an area with two offshoots. One to the left, one to the right.
#- Go left.
#- Go right.

Josh: Startled at the challenge thinks about it for a second. Well, since she's an angel, wouldn't saying power, wealth, or knowledge be selfish? I think I should choose... "Atonement, he said. If I were to have anything it would be atonement."
Taji: Ok, Now this is just getting creepy. *Taji wondered through the halls.* Come on! Another choice? *She quickly decides and takes the right path*
