Exactly what the title says.
If you could be any kind of Supernatural being, what would you be and why?
I have thought about this for a while, and I am still unsure as to what I would be. I think I would probably go with shape-shifter because I could turn into any animal I wanted, fact or fiction, and I could do it whenever I see fit.
What about everyone else?

I'd want to be a liderc, though I think that is more of a mythical monster then super natural being. Crap, then I guess I'd be a were something, heightened senses and the like would be cool.

Hmm I guess I'd have to go with the thing I've been fascinated with since I was a tiny little girl (oddly enough), vampire.
I've always had a thing for them. The immortality and the power. I don't think I'd mind being kept from the day light seeing as me and the sun don't get a long as it is. Plus a long life means a lot of time to do so much, travel the world, read tons and tons of books.
For some reason it's always been the ideal thing to me.

RenkonNairu That's a though one. I can't decide it I'd want to be just a mortal human with supernatural powers or a shapshifter as well. You have to admit that being a shapeshifter would have its advantages. You'd be able to turn into any creature you wanted, real or not, and whenever you wanted. I'd use it to be really nosey. It'd help with writing books anyway, because you could listen in on people and get your inspiration etc from them without them even realising!! And I'm just a generally nosey person. I'm the kind of person that would go and view my old house if it ever went up for sale again, just so I could see what it looks like now. ><

I'm not sure myself. I wouldn't mind being a shifter or Vamp, but that generally because those are my favorite sup creatures.

I would love to be a witch or a mermaid . I think being a witch would just be fun, but I also love being in the water and auquatic life so theres a reason i would like to be a mermaid ^_^

I would be a wizard. I like the idea of being able to use magic, which can offer a wide variety of powers, sometimes including shape-shifting.

Ah, what an interesting thread.
Hm, I suppose that being a deity would be my first choice. Barring that... I suppose anything that would allow me to live forever. The focus of an undead mind would certainly be appreciated, so lich is a fine choice, though with eternal existence being assured, I would dearly miss the carnal pleasures that I would then be denied, despite having so much more time for. Really, anything that facilitate the end of living (or existing more or less as I am) and to continue learning forever.

I think I'd be a faerie because it would be cool being able to fly and have some cool magic powers, or maybe a dragon would be cool too, though I'm not sure what kind.
