i go with my grandparents. my parents dont go anymore because they believe that everyone should have their own interpritation on the bible- u know, not just believe what ur told, but read it your self and decide for yourself. they would let me not go, but i want to spend the time with my g-parents. we have lots of debates and good conversations about our different takes on the bible, and mommy prays alot, so its almoast like im at church. i actually learn mor at home than i do there.

Wow......That is a really great Question to ask people! I go to church because I love it there and I get to worship God with some awesome music, not that it really should matter but I find live music wonderful, and I learn more about what God wants us to do and how to live....but I do agree with kerowyn7613 on a few points! I think it is wonderful your parents feel that way; It makes you think about stuff on your own, not just listen to someone drone on and on about things.......but also sometimes other people have good ideas that make you think about things in a different light......so basicly there are benifits to each side of the arguement.......like anything......sorry I just keep rambling!

Hey! I want to say real quick, awesome question, it really makes you think. I go to a Penocostal church and I love it! Which I'm a pastor grand kid so I was raised in church, but even if my parents did'nt go I would go to church because I also love the music, but more than that it's a time to come with other believers and listen to the Pastor just teach us about God, and just a time of to refresh yourself, and a time to be able to praise our awesome God together! Plus for me I want to be in Youth ministry, so I help out a lot in my church and that's always just so fun to do. I have never been to a Baptist church. Can you tell me what it's like??

exclaim uhm well...............to describe it.....well always remember evey church is different! I don't really think that my church is different than any other "church", you see what really is the church isn't the building itself but the people inside it............you need to fill it with the wise, strong, humble, weak, leaders, teachers, speakers, listeners, people of all sizes and Backgrounds! 4laugh So really if your church believes that Jesus is the ONLY way to heaven, and isn't teaching some crap that somehow we can be like Jesus, not like the following of his word but things like " oh well we can be just like Jesus and be on his same level" or " I can get almost to heaven but Jesus gives me a little push". No. That is not Christanity and you need to book it out of that church! WE CAN NOT BE SINLESS LIKE JESUS! ADAM AND EVE ATE THE APPLE AND PLUNGED THE WHOLE WORLD INTO SIN.........well Eve was tricked so, yes she did sin but she was lied to, but Adam ate the Apple of his own free will knowing that it was wrong........but that is for another day..... rofl eeheeh sorry off topic.. neutral but really I don't Believe that Babtist and Penocostal churches are that different.......

Ummm.... well, my church doesn't believe that there's a way to God besides Jesus, and we do understand that we will never be sinless, but that we should live our lives trying to be the best we can be and trying to be perfect, but knowing we will mess up, and we will need to ask God to help us. We believe that God sent His only Son, to die on a cross, then He rose again on the 3rd day and gave us the Holy Spirit, to help guide us, and only by asking forgiveness for our sins, and asking Jesus to come in our hearts can we truly be saved and one day go to Heaven. I believe He made everyone special, and unique and beautiful in there own way, and will always love them exactly the way they are, and will always open His arms when ever someone wants to recieve Him, no matter what they've done. All they have to do is pray. smile
Don't we serve an amazing God??!! biggrin

(This is random but I am crying right now...this always makes me cry......) cry .part of me wishes I could of seen the cross...but the other part is glad I was spared.....from that image.........I wouldn't be able to handle it.....sorry rambly again am I not? mrgreen

Aside from having to, I go to give some time back to God. After all He does for me, it's the least I can do. It's a good way to praise Him and learn about Him. Plus I love my church. Everyone is so nice.

I go to a non-denominational church (well that's what they call it anyways, it's calvary chapel if you've ever heard of it) and I love it! I love how they teach from the Bible! They teach verse by verse and in a way where everything makes sense to you and they always seem to be talking about something I'm struggling with. They encourage finding your spiritual gift and using it. Like I have the spiritual gift of serving. I just love helping peope in any way I can, whether cleaning or listening or anything and so I volunteer at a soup kitchen and it's wonderful becuse my church is what really got me where I am today.
I love God more than anything or anyone in this world and he gives me such peace. I love the church I go to because te people are so down to earh, not all high and mighty at all, and everyone just helps everyone there. And the music is always praise and worship heart so we get awesome live music too. We have drums! blaugh
