Rawr! I know! For CC you want to get a pinch of protein, a multivitamin, and eat a little lighter than usual, trading your usual meat and junk food intake with fruit and a few vegetables. Also about 67% of your calories should be carbs. (All of this is the day before your race) Personally, I don't like to eat much before a race. Whether that's healthy or not idk and idc, but this should help.

What foods should i eat before a race that will make me run my best? exclaim

2-3 hours before your race starts you should eat a small snack. Maybe like an apple, a small gatorage and some pasta. Something also that has alot of water, but don't over-drink, just to avoid cramps during your race. Carbs is always good ( bread, pastas etc.) and fruits/veggies.

If its just a small exercize I would recomened NO dairy products, even close to 12 hours before you run. And maybe 1hr-30min before you run have an apple and some carrots, or something light and organic.

yea...geez running is the one sport you always have to watch what you eat :/

but usually i try to eat light and think of foods that won't cause my stomach to feel upset or feel heavy

and sometimes before a race like an hour ahead i'd have a power bar or energy gels but i found that eating a power bar an hour before every race always gave me alot of energy. i always felt like i had alot of energy even if i stayed up late the night before.

i usually eat ether a PB&J or toast with peanut butter on it about an hour or so before race time and the night before i race i carb load with pasta or something similar

true very true i usually eat sum fruit or drink fluids before a race or whenever practicing it helps but yea dont over do it or else ull get cramps and carbs before the race give ya sumthing to boost you up
