Have you watched/read twilight? yes...

What has led up to your dislike of twilight? (i.e. events in the past that may have affected your dislike. This includes reading other vampire fiction that may have altered your perceptions, talking to peers, etc.) the story itself is pretty lame, the overusage of a lot of words, which are often misused, and the whole logic/science fail thing.

What do you believe is the main reason for your dislike against twilight and why? how everyone is completely obsessed with it. I see to many good people getting hurt because they said that Twilight wasn't their taste.

What is your relationship with twilight? (Not in terms of like/dislike, but in terms of socially/mentally/physically – if you see it around, do you turn the other way? Do you swap channels when you see it on tv? Do you feel physically sickened when you see it on TV?) Whenever i see it, anywhere at all, i start gagging and i have to either change the channel, or walk away from it as far as i can before i start to feel okay again.

Do you consider yourself a follower of twilight, even though you don't like it? No. and I'm glad that only one person has asked me if i like Twilight because of the way i dress. apparently wearing mostly black makes you a Twilight fan...

If you have watched the film have you also read the book prior or after the films release? i have. they were both pretty disappointing...

Do you enjoy making fun of the movie/book/fans? well... ok, yes i do. especially since my mom is in love with it and i just keep telling her how much of a logic fail it is.

Do you actively participant in expressing your dislike for twilight?
If yes, how and why? If no, why not? Sometimes. It all kind of depends on who I'm talking to.

Do you feel that your personal morals/upbringing have an effect on the way you view twilight? How? Yeah. I grew up thinking stalking someone was a bad thing. And the fact that i always used to watch Dracula and other real vampire movies makes me just hate Twilight. But again, Mom is all GunHo for it. Yuck.

What do you think the moral messages are in twilight (if any)? Do you agree with the messages that twilight sends to the public? not at all. It's saying that It's ok to be in an emotionally abusive relationship, that it's ok to never stand up for yourself, to string along boys and make them both think that you like them cause you're selfish, and it's not ok to stalk someone, even if you think it's "Twu Wuv" even though all it is, is a high school obsession.

Who do you think is the most affected by these messages (if any) and why? her information/opinions: most Teenage girls i see. or just lump together most Women in general.

Have you watched/read twilight? Read it for Book Club. Well, it was a graded Book Club class for school actually. The gilrs outvoted me.

What has led up to your dislike of twilight? (i.e. events in the past that may have affected your dislike. This includes reading other vampire fiction that may have altered your perceptions, talking to peers, etc.) Let's see... The writing was totally flat, the plot was two-dimensional and predictable, the characters were absurdly ill-coneived and woefully iunderdeveloped, the novel itself is sexist and misly racist, and its fans are so morosely moronic.

What do you believe is the main reason for your dislike against twilight and why? I find such a phenomenon based on an insult to literature to be an insult to anyone who's ever read a good book.

What is your relationship with twilight? (Not in terms of like/dislike, but in terms of socially/mentally/physically – if you see it around, do you turn the other way? Do you swap channels when you see it on tv? Do you feel physically sickened when you see it on TV?) I am infuriated when I see it.

Do you consider yourself a follower of twilight, even though you don't like it? Hell No.

If you have watched the film have you also read the book prior or after the films release? I read the book and was so disgusted that I could not bear to watch the movie, too.

Do you enjoy making fun of the movie/book/fans? Hell Yes.

Do you actively participant in expressing your dislike for twilight?
If yes, how and why? If no, why not? I rant about it in tirades and diatribes every chance I get. I just csan't stand it!

Do you feel that your personal morals/upbringing have an effect on the way you view twilight? How? I don't really know... I don't like how Edward treats Bella, spying on her at night without her knowing and stealing from her, but still gets away with it because he's sparkly.

What do you think the moral messages are in twilight (if any)? Do you agree with the messages that twilight sends to the public? There are backwards moral messages that if female characters aren't developed enogugh to stand alone they can be stolen from, violated, spied on, and raped as long as the vampire doing ti is sparkly and handome with some moody badboy emotional detavchmet nor whatever s**t she wrote.

Who do you think is the most affected by these messages (if any) and why? her information/opinions: Teenaged and young girls

Have you watched/read twilight?
Oh, by the Composer, yes.

What has led up to your dislike of twilight? (i.e. events in the past that may have affected your dislike. This includes reading other vampire fiction that may have altered your perceptions, talking to peers, etc.)
Well, I always felt something was odd with it. I love analyzing things, and what I found in Twilight was... not pretty. So, it was really just reading it again and trying to figure out the characters. I also am a fan of the Vampire Chronicles, so that may have influenced me a bit. But I normally like keeping my fictional universes separate, so I'm not sure.
After that, I noticed grammar, word misuse, plot holes, and the like. It went uphill from there.

What do you believe is the main reason for your dislike against twilight and why? The science that the author tried to explain that ended falling flat on it's face. I love science, absolutely adore it. So, when I heard those explanations that make no sense whatsoever, I got angry. Especially since we had learned about how chromosomes worked the day before.

What is your relationship with twilight? (Not in terms of like/dislike, but in terms of socially/mentally/physically – if you see it around, do you turn the other way? Do you swap channels when you see it on tv? Do you feel physically sickened when you see it on TV?)
All of the above. I will physically run away or recoil from Twilight merchandising. Never mind what's on it, not that I don't despise it, it's over-done. Over merchandising kills the fanbase, no matter what it is. Look at FF VII: I love it, but I get sick of hearing it all the time. If I see Twilight on TV, with people gushing about it, I flinch and change it to cartoons until I find something else. And I feel sickened physically reading it, never mind seeing ads for it everywhere I turn.

Do you consider yourself a follower of twilight, even though you don't like it?
I'm... not quite sure, honestly. I will find new things out about it when they come, mostly from being on TS.com, and I will check it out. Mostly because I want to make sure I'm not missing anything, or if there is anything at ALL redeeming about the series. So, in a way, yes. Huh... Never really thought about it before.

If you have watched the film have you also read the book prior or after the films release?
Prior. Way before the movie came out I read it. I am ashamed to admit I was a fan when I was 12, but I grew out of it pretty quickly.

Do you enjoy making fun of the movie/book/fans?
Oh, yes. This thing has so much to choose from, it's almost impossible not to. I try not to mock the fans, though. I know plenty of sane ones, but I will wreak hell on the ones who attack other people. That's going a bit too far, don't you think?

Do you actively participant in expressing your dislike for twilight?
If yes, how and why? If no, why not?
I like to think so, yes. I will point out each of it's flaws in this guild, and give plenty of reasons why. When I go on Twilight Sucks, I will participate in discussions if I can. And I do it... Well, partly for the lulz. That's factored in somewhere. But also so people will know what to look for and be ready when it comes their way.

Do you feel that your personal morals/upbringing have an effect on the way you view twilight? How?
YES. By the Music, the Higher Plane, and the Composer, definitely. My family has put it very clear that we're all equal. Different, yes, odd, yes, but equal. We watch crime shows, where I can see the effects of bad relationships and such, along with the effects of violence. My dad's a freaking cop! I hear about the cases he works on. I've been taught to never take anything at face value. Combine that with the bunch of horrible messages found in Twilight... It's torn to shreds in my mind.

What do you think the moral messages are in twilight (if any)? Do you agree with the messages that twilight sends to the public?
You really want to know all of them? Fine.
First off: It's perfectly all right for your man to be mentally abusive, he does it because he loves you! Besides, he's beautiful so it doesn't matter. (The first part seems to echo the defense of people in an abused relationship, doesn't it?)
You don't need to go to collage, girl! You just need to find a man to settle down with and have kids! (...Bye-bye suffrage.)
You don't need to get along with your other: As long as they're pretty, it's okay! (And there goes decent chemistry, relationships, common sense, and love. hello, lust!)
If you break up, use suicide. He'll come back and love you as always! (Hello, teen suicide rates! What's that, you're going up?)
If the person you love dies, go die too. That way, they'll never be alone! Even if you've only known them for a few months or weeks, you're meant to be together!(What's that, suicide rates? You're going through a growth spurt?)
Martyrdom is the best thing to do in a crisis. Who needs planning? (I think logic just died and crawled into the inner core.)
Teen romance is always true love! (*sighs* What next, a Romeo and Juliet reference? Oh, wait!)
In order to be complete, you must be in a relationship. (Guess I'm going to be half a person my whole life, eh Twilight fans?)
For the love of the Music... What else?
Oh, yes.
If they love you, they can stalk you! It's just to make you safe! (...Look at the first remark I made, please.)
Don't have male friends besides your boyfriend. It's just not right!(*facepalm*)

Who do you think is the most affected by these messages (if any) and why? her information/opinions:
My age group and moms in their thirties. Sadly, hormones RAEG when you hit puberty. This is the perfect way to use them, reading low-grade barely-not-smut. Seriously, a thirteen year old I know writes better stuff than that.
For moms, it's like an escapist fantasy. You get to be a teenager, have a "perfect" other, and don't have to take care of your kids! Sadly, when it starts to take over, they want their husbands to be Edward sometimes. (Oh, suicide rates, your brother divorce rates just shot up!)

Thank you for your time reading this.

Have you watched/read twilight? yes to both

What has led up to your dislike of twilight? (i.e. events in the past that may have affected your dislike. This includes reading other vampire fiction that may have altered your perceptions, talking to peers, etc.)

What is your relationship with twilight? (Not in terms of like/dislike, but in terms of socially/mentally/physically – if you see it around, do you turn the other way? Do you swap channels when you see it on tv? Do you feel physically sickened when you see it on TV?)

Have you watched/read twilight?

Unfortunately, yes.

What has led up to your dislike of twilight? (i.e. events in the past that may have affected your dislike. This includes reading other vampire fiction that may have altered your perceptions, talking to peers, etc.)

Reading it, talking to fellow haters, and the crazy things fans do.

What do you believe is the main reason for your dislike against twilight and why?

THE FANS, PEOPLE, THE FANS. As well as S Meyer's comments on her writing and that of others'.

What is your relationship with twilight? (Not in terms of like/dislike, but in terms of socially/mentally/physically – if you see it around, do you turn the other way? Do you swap channels when you see it on tv? Do you feel physically sickened when you see it on TV?)

They air it on TV?
Anyway, when I see it or hear about it, I feel like I'm burning up, and that gets out of control when girls around me start screaming. I just yell, scoff, or make disgusted face expressions.

Do you consider yourself a follower of twilight, even though you don't like it?

No.
I don't follow it; I don't read about where they're filming or what's coming next, etc. I hate it, so I don't see why it would make sense to surround myself with it.

If you have watched the film have you also read the book prior or after the films release?

I read the book just after they started promoting the film's release, so by the time I actually did see the movie I was informed of how stupid it was.

Do you enjoy making fun of the movie/book/fans?

I enjoy parodies and other people mocking it, but I don't make fun of it myself. I'm more of a rant kind of person. smile

Do you actively participant in expressing your dislike for twilight?
If yes, how and why? If no, why not?

YES I AM AN ACTIVE PARTICIPANT!! Sometimes I go into Towns and when I run out of things to type I randomly run around saying "TWILIGHT IS TERRIBLE" and "HARRY POTTER IS WAY BETTER". Secondly, I joined this guild. And lastly, I wrote up a list of reasons why I strongly resent the whole Twilight franchise at my school and my friend posted it on Facebook.

Do you feel that your personal morals/upbringing have an effect on the way you view twilight? How?

Yes. When I read something Bella does that's completely wrong and immoral I feel further and further away from the book until I feel like I can't relate with it at all. It makes me view Twilight as fanfic, where anything can happen or a story where the plot doesn't matter at all, as long as the author is happy with what she writes. Basically, a "wet dream" -- as a member of this guild has described it as -- with self-inserts and Gary-Stus.

What do you think the moral messages are in twilight (if any)? Do you agree with the messages that twilight sends to the public?

Most people have noted abstinence as a moral, but I don't see how Bella begging Edward to... be with her and him contradicting his own decisions is a good lesson to learn. All I can come up with for moral messages in the stories are what to do if you want a messed up life.

Who do you think is the most affected by these messages (if any) and why? her information/opinions:

Teenaged girls and soccer moms. I don't see why some guys like it, but they're probably looking to be more like Edward to impress the girls they know.

Conclusively, my view of Twilight is that most girls like it because they want to be like Bella, the same apparent reason that S Meyer wrote it, and not because it's an epic yet touching story of love and courage.

Wish you success with your study!

Have you watched/read twilight? All of them

What has led up to your dislike of twilight? (i.e. events in the past that may have affected your dislike. This includes reading other vampire fiction that may have altered your perceptions, talking to peers, etc.) The obsessed fans.

What do you believe is the main reason for your dislike against twilight and why? The obsessed fans are too annoying and they all seem to not be intelligent enough to debate about twilight.

What is your relationship with twilight? (Not in terms of like/dislike, but in terms of socially/mentally/physically – if you see it around, do you turn the other way? Do you swap channels when you see it on tv? Do you feel physically sickened when you see it on TV?) I will watch/read Twilight. I just get highly annoyed when the fans obsess so much over such a...non good quality book.

Do you consider yourself a follower of twilight, even though you don't like it? Yes

If you have watched the film have you also read the book prior or after the films release? Prior

Do you enjoy making fun of the movie/book/fans? Books, no; movies, no; fans, yes.

Do you actively participant in expressing your dislike for twilight?
If yes, how and why? If no, why not? No, but I do actively participate in expressing my dislike of the obsessed fans.

Do you feel that your personal morals/upbringing have an effect on the way you view twilight? How? No.

What do you think the moral messages are in twilight (if any)? Do you agree with the messages that twilight sends to the public? That love is stronger than anything? That's the only thing I got from it.

Who do you think is the most affected by these messages (if any) and why? her information/opinions: Tweens.
