As if hiding behind it, Seta held onto the small tree for dear life, peeking out of it's side to see if anyone was coming his way. Timidly, he soon turned around and slid down, taking a seat near the tree. He kept his tail curled around him and looks down. Hopefully no one was coming his way...
Kicking a rock along the path, Jade walked along with his hands stuffed in his pockets. He looked about and almost wished he would be bothered by some unwanted company. At least then he wouldn't be so bored. Usually a solitary and cold, this was a pretty rare incident.
"If anything, at least have someone to bother." he mumbled to himself and continued to walk.

Pollen wandered around, fiddling with a mushroom as she walked. A hint of sadness sat in the shimmer of her eyes. It had been awhile since she saw the first friend she made and her mind couldn't help but wander to horrible thoughts of what could have happened. What if he didn't want to see her again? What he was injured by a wild animal? Or even worse - what if he had passed on mysteriously?
All the thoughts brought tears to her eyes which she struggled to fight back. The one time she thought she could have happiness... The one time she thought she had found her best friend... was it all a dream? No! It couldn't be... She wasn't going to let it be so. Pushing back those thoughts of such negativity she ventured forth and frowned as she opened her mouth to speak but no sound would come out.
She wanted to cry out the name of her friend... her beloved friend... but no voice would come to those quivering lips. However she didn't give up. She continued to try to call out the name. She tried and tried until she exhausted herself and soon found comfort under a tree. She sat at the trunk and just wept in silence.
Maybe it was pointless, maybe, just maybe it really was a dream and it was false hope... 'Go take a walk, Mitsunari. Maybe you'll feel better and stop being such a grumpy jerk.' Those words loomed in Mitsunari's head as he walked. His arms were crossed in a huff over his chest as he eyes were narrowed, fixated at the ground below. What did his owner know? She didn't have to deal with the constant noise and bickering of the other streya. In fact he thought she was immune to it or had a way to turn off her hearing. Oh how he wished he could choose a time to go deaf and hear again. It would solve the problem of constant headaches and having to smack sense into the other pests he lived with.
Why did he stay with such a troublesome group? As much as he seemed to hate it all, he did care in the faintest bit about the woman who took him in. She showed kindness in her own way and knew to respect his wishes when he would state them. So for once... he respected hers. Hence this meddlesome walk to no where.
Sighing he let his arms drop to hang by his sides, only after flicking a bit of his hair in attempts to fix a strand that bothered him. "...Such an annoyance." He murmured under his breath. "Is this all really worth it?"
...Of course it was. But he never would admit that out loud.

Seta had been submerged in his reverie quite deeply to notice any wandering soul that could have gone his way; in front of him or back. He looked over at his tail and gently started to pet it in order to occupy any thoughts his head could have conjured up. Already used to his silent life style, Seta decided that there wasn’t any point in trying to socialize with the world around him. Someone out there had made his destiny and he was no one who could change it.
Almost a bit relieved that he had no ability to frown, the softly murmur of weeping occupied his thoughts. Inquisitively, he leaned over to see where the source was. Soon spotting a family mushroom streya, he wanted to frown even more. Perhaps the only streya who had showed him some kindness – weeping? What could have caused her grief? Standing up, Seta went over to her side of the tree. He was too shy to approach her directly and timidly reached out to touch her shoulder.
‘How bothersome.’ where the only words that kept repeating over and over in Jade’s mind. Usually the type of person who plans out their days, Jade found himself in a rather boring predicament and was indecisive as to how to go about it. He pushed his glasses up and continued walking on ahead, just about ready to turn back and join the rest of Seren’s mini hoard of streya if this sheer emptiness keeps up.
‘How very bothersome.’ he thought once more. More often than not, Jade liked to take long periods of time to focus and reflect upon things on his own. Or to just get away from everyone else; there was nothing more splendid than peace and solitude. Although, even then, solitude can get annoying if taken in long doses.
A small draft of wind gently pushed his hair as Jade suddenly stopped and closed his eyes to feel the cool breeze grace his skin. At least the weather is tolerable. Opening his bright red eyes, he looked out into the vast field and noticed a figure coming his way.

Not noticing right away, Pollen continued to weep, lost in her own horrid thoughts that confined her to the conclusion that Seta hated her. She didn't know why the conclusion was one she despised. Never wanting anyone to hate her she soon figured it was her fear that resulted in those dreadful thoughts. It must be. Eventually she felt a small hand on her shoulder and slowly lifted her head to look.
Standing there was the mushroom streya, her beloved friend, whom she had been looking for. Her smile grew wide as she got to her feet hastily and threw her arms around the other. If only she could tell him how happy she was to see him and that the tears she now wept were not of sadness but of sheer joy.
In attempts to chance his thoughts Mitsunari looked to the sky as he walked. The sky was so vast and inviting - but would he fly? Nonsense. He hadn't learned just yet and wasn't going to try at this moment. With all the rage he had he might end up "accidentally" crashing into a tree. Now that was an amusing thought. It was funny how small acts of violence, either self imposed or to others would bring a small smirk to Mitsunari's face.
He was cruel and there was no doubting that. Once again his thoughts switched back to the household he lived in. If one streya would act in a way Mitsunari didn't like and it got to the point it bothered him, he would let it be known and a swift smack of a fan echoed through the air. No words had to be said as he would stand there glaring in disgust at the streya while they retreated. But once out of his sight he would smirk and silently enjoy his victory. Would he ever feel bad about such things? No. Probably not.
As he was lost in his thoughts he only vaguely realized he was walking past another Streya. He didn't pay much mind to it and figured this streya, much like any other, would be annoying and not worth his time.

Seta remained puzzled for a few moments, never having had such a situation happen to him. He looked at Pollen from the corner of his eye and noticed that she was crying. He looked down to the ground, cursing himself for seeing his most treasured friend shed tears. Tightly, he wrapped his arms around her and started to gently rub her back. He felt there was only so much he can do without saying a word and decided that the second best thing was to comfort her through body language. Nuzzling her gently, he pulled away and looked at her sadly. Why is she crying...? He searched for answers.
Not knowing at all that she was crying tears of joy...
Looking onward, the incoming streya looked deeply involved in his own reverie to really pay attention to anything else coming his way. Jade gazed at him, taking note of his clothing and physical features. This streya was distinctly garbed and walked with a certain ... frowny-pout on his face.
'He seems the type... that would find me quite annoying.' Jade thought and inwardly smiled about this. Even if it was childish, obnoxious or whatever you may call it, Jade had a really good knack for annoying people. Their frustration amused him to no end. Of course, there was a certain way that he would go about it, which confused and frustrated people even more.
'I think I'll go approach him...' He nodded and did so, making his way over to Mitsunari. He was pretty sure he was going to get an awkward stare or a glare. Or something unfriendly like that -- but that never bothered him.
"Hello there~ I couldn't help but see you coming and I decided to make some friendly conversation." he smiled as he pushed his glasses up.

Pollen gazed at her friend through her blurred vision. The tears fell freely as the warm smile stretched across her muzzle. If only she can say the words, 'I'm happy to see you again...' or to tell him 'I'm crying because I'm happy...' things would be different. Words seemed to be so much easier to be used for communication rather than things like body language.
Soon she leaned closer to the other after wiping away from tears that were beginning to stain her fur and nuzzled him back. She had hoped he knew she wasn't sad anymore. She had found her beloved friend.
"Friendly conversation?" Mitsunari retorted with a snort. "Don't make me laugh." His frown seemed to grow as he was no longer entangled in his web of thoughts both violence and at times cynical. How dare the other disturb him when he had tried to get some peace.
But perhaps that is what the other sought. To be of annoyance. No one else would willing walk up to him due to the fear of being back handed with a fan or whatever the Japanese streya could get his paw on. It was all any seemed to want to be. A thing of annoyance or stupidity. Wasn't there anyone worthy out there? Anyone worthy of a good conversation? Probably not.

Seta looked up at her and searched her eyes for answers. What he found was something much more sweeter than he had expected. Admittedly a bit confused about the situation, he "smiled" happily and gently nuzzled his friend back. He knew that perhaps he'll never find out what made her so sad -- he's just simply content that she's happy.
Holding her close, he didn't mind that her tears slightly damped his fur. He pulled away for only a slight moment, hoping to convey happy emotions with his eyes only. If only she can tell her what's going on in his mind...
Jade looked at Mitsunari and smirked. He knew of his type. Usually the anti-social, Mitsunari probably threatens other streyas with his fan; simply that frown of his isn't inviting at all. Of course, this would be perfect bait to annoy, but Jade wasn't sure if he was going to take that route after all. With everything that is conducted, it must be in moderation. He had a feeling one wisecrack will send Mitsunari off.
"Oh? You are quick to judge." Jade nodded and pushed on his glasses. "I'd be rather careful if I were you~" He looked at Mitsunari with a slight sly smile in his mouth.

Pollen tilted her head slightly as she studied Seta's eyes which seemingly shimmered with happiness. Looking down for a moment she wiped away the remainder of the tears to the best of her ability, soon gazing back up at him, her smile as wide as ever.
She hugged him once more before gesturing to the ground, offering if he'd like to sit with her. Although she had longed to speak with words, she found that at times, silence was the best remedy for true happiness.
"I needn't worry about such meddlesome things.", was the only thing Mitsunari said as he continued on his path after stepping away from the other Streya. He didn't plan on having his attempt at peace disturbed by some stranger who couldn't take a hint. He was most certain of how the other was and figured by the way he looked at him - or rather looked right through him - he was pegged as something as well. Good. Let the other think ill of him. It would quicken this meeting to its end.

Seta looked over at the spot that Pollen motioned to and simply nodded. He gently reaches over and help her dry her tears before she moved to sit down. He continued in his happy little mood and gently leaned on her shoulder as she took her seat next to him. He started to wonder if Pollen got tired of being silent for him; if only there was a way he could talk to her...
Jade watched Mitsunari simply walk off after his comment and decided that perhaps he just needs to entertain Mitsunari more. Or himself at least. Whatever is shall be.
Following the Japanese streya, Jade started to smile. "Oh? You looked so unoccupied earlier. Why the sudden rush?" He decided to act "nice" for now, deciding that he'd rather study Mitsunari more than to be ruling him off like the others.

Pollen glanced at Seta out of the corner of her eye and let her smile widen. She loved his company and to be so close to him was a wonderful feeling. Although it did give her butterflies in her stomach which caused her to fidget. Slowly she rested her head against Seta's and closed her eyes.
Mitsunari's first reaction was to ignore Jade, which was exactly what he did. He simply pretended the other wasn't there and continued walking along his not-so-merry way. He didn't care for friendship or small talk. He didn't need it.
