So I just got Assassin's Creed yesterday. Aside from every mission being almost exactly the same, it is actually a really fun and addicting game. Also that most guards are too easy to kill running around on high profile.
Assassin's Creed 2 is coming out soon, I haven't even gotten halfway with the first one but I'm already looking forward to and will probably pre-order the second. Supposedly its harder and less repetitive.

I got and finished Assassins Creed 1 so I'm surely gonna get the second one. I loved it xD
What's so repetitive about Assassins Creed?

What's so repetitive about Assassins Creed? Kill guy X at place Y X20+9Y Kill this guy at this place, except there are twenty guys and nine places.

Well you could do different things on each assassination.. or you just run up to the guy and fight him head on?
get original with your kills, doesn't make it repetitive at all

And all it came down to was some form of melee, gun or the games super special awesome choice. That's the problem with some games. They are linear but like to think of themselves as standbox.

The problem is that the only way to kill your target for the mission, was the hidden blade. Can't fight him head on and counter and slit his throat or something more exciting. At least that's what I was always forced to do. It would've been better with being able to make traps, or actually having a crossbow like in the trailer. Even though they weren't invented at the time the game takes place, It would still be better than throwing knives. Also, getting all your assignments from the same guy and going to the baeuru (Spelling?) every single time did get a little old. Assassin's Creed 2 is going to change all that though hopefully.

Yeah I was expecting the crossbow, that was a major let down to me cry when I saw the trailer I was like " crossbows?! kickass!! " yeah I know no one says kickass anymore but I still said it.
Then I didn't see it and got sad sad

Hidden blade or short sword, And in fist fights I pull out the sword anyways and watch them run in terror. Then I can chase and assassinate them.
