I've just watched "Water Horse" and I think it's a true story (because it said "true story" right in the beginning!).There was a scene when 2 men decided to make a photo of a false Loch Ness Monster.

There's no way the tale of the Loch Ness monster could be real for at least two reasons:

1. There have never been any sightings of dead bodies of huge marine creatures showing up on the shores of the lake. If such a creature existed there you'd think there would be a big family of them in order for them to exist for such a long time ever since the era of the dinosaurs. So, why haven't they found any dead bodies so far? They'd have to be immortal (or close to it in human terms) to be able to explain this phenomenon.
2. I saw a show about this and the folks who investigated the ecosystem of the lake said that there was not enough food in the lake for one of those creatures, let alone for a whole family of them.

That alone leads me to believe that there has never been such a thing in the lake and it has been all propaganda to attract more tourists to the place. Not that it's a bad thing but it's also false advertising, he-he.

Ah, the Jersey Devil, huh? That sounds cool! Did you know that a videogame called "Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia" actually has that creature as one of the monsters you have to fight? There's even a quest where a journalist asks you to photograph one of them and he pays you a decent amount of gold for it. mrgreen
