The story of a young hero who foresaw the doom of his Country. Of their quest to right what they think they did wrong. How the hero and his friends manage that is all up to how you play the game. The game of life. Or the game of death. It's up to you if you want to start an all out war, or a secret operation.
It's entirely up to you.

Story

The child's was lulled into a dark, damp room. It saw his Majesty King Lieon II seated on his throne. It was awfully quiet, but for the dripping noises coming from one of the corners. Despite that the child was standing in front of the King, himself, it appeared as though no one could see the toddler. The hush darkness was cut when the door opened. The figure that stepped in was recognizable as being Theodore, the Kings first man. The child could see Theodore approach his Majesty and draw his sword. It was raised and dropped. The child awoke in a cold sweat, shivering from its dream.

Thirteen years later, the good King Lieon died of murder. Theodore was ironically the one who found his Majesty. He is also the one who took possession of the Throne. Theodore's rule is cruel, heartless and harsh. The Country has never suffered so much in more than a century.The child, now grown, vaguely remembers a dream they've had in the far past.

Starting Points

Village of Lief

Lief is a small town based on agriculture and farming. The habitants live happily in a day-by-day life style, making everything they need to survive. They can get what they lack from the trade post in Port Kitra.

Village of Calcier
Calcier strives from trade. Most habitants are highly skilled in carving, metallurgy or in sewing and being so close to the trade post in Port Kitra, they can sell their goods often and efficiently. Wood work often comes from the hands of a Calcian artist.

Desert of Jazev

Surrounded by deserts, Jazev has been isolated from the other villages for a long time. What kept the habitants from being fully isolated from the others was their grand sources of minerals and gems that are sold and traded in Port Healut. They sell the most raw material in all the Country.

Town of Restun
A fisherman population overrules the merchants in this town. They live mostly off fish, rice and herbs. Being so close the the shore, Restun habitants can appreciate a warm climate all year long.

Village of Diens

This village is isolated from the others so it has learned to become quite independent. Being in between the two coasts, Diens can strive off both agriculture and fishery, alternatively. If the habitants want luxury items, however, they must travel to the Capital.

Rules

Obey ToS;
No godmoding;
There will be only one hero, one enemy, etc;
If a battle should happen, use the "roll dice" action to determine if your attack should hit. Two, six sided dice, with a result of either 2, 4, 6, 8 or 10 are counted as direct hits. The result of 12 is a critical. Everything else is a miss;
This is a semi-lit to literate role play. Which means, no chat speak or one line posts;
Try to format your posts so we have something pretty to look at;
"speak," Action, thought;
In the profiles, please describe your character as best as possible. If you want to add a picture for further reference, do so in a link format hidden in your description. (Example: Xavier is made of thick burlap, heavy sand and strong thread. His dark button eyes were carefully picked, his heart, cut out by hand... etc).

Theodore sat straight in his throne. His chin was leaning in the palm of his left hand as he gazed at the room. The long pillars that kept the castle sturdy were lined so perfectly that he couldn't see the last ones, covered by the first one. The paintings on the wall were worth all the gold in the Country and Theodore couldn't care less. Money didn't matter to him. Nor did the title or the castle. It was the power. Oh yes, it was slightly aggravating that he had to murder his dearest friend the late King Lieon II to get it, but it was all worth it to him. Nothing pleased Theodore more than power.
A servant shyly entered the room with a fearful expression painted on her face.
"What is it, girl? Be swift about your matter." The frail woman cowered a little and spoke "A peasant would like to have a moment with you, your Highness."
Theodore laughed. "Tell the peasant I'm not taking any complaints today. Now be gone, girl!" The servant left the room hastily. Theodore sat alone in his Throne, again, and relished his power.

Kristy arrived at the capital riding Dimond. She had her sword at her side that was hidden by her cloak. She gently pulled down her hood, letting her long hair fall down her back. She looked around at all the markets. "This place looks like it's getting worse everytime I come here" She said to herself. SHe rode silently down the rode, looking for her usual customers.

Bridgette noticed Diamond's beautiful black fur immediatly as she looked up from her book. "Kristy, you made it safely!" she shouted as she rushed up to greet her gem supplier. "Oh, I was just so worried when I heard that there was a raiding up on the Northern trails, but I'm so glad to see you've made it in one piece, dear." She let the traveller follow her back to her shop, looking back to smile at her on the way.

"It's great to see you again Bridgette" Kristy smiled at she followed her. "I heard about the raids, but you know me. Nothing stands in my way. Besides, Dimond here usually intimidates most people." Kristly patted Dimond gently as she nodded, seeming to agree with Kristy. "How have you been doing here?"

The jolly expression that the young merchant usually wore faded into a saddened frown. She opened the door to her shop, absent minded, and on a long sigh, she turned towards her friend. "To be honest, ever since King Theodore came into power, this town has been falling apart. The poor are poorer, the rich, richer. The main routes leading here were all barricaded by soldiers who have been ordered to let no strangers, in so people have been discouraged to come to Hefta. They don't want to go through all the trouble it takes to come in, and most of them don't know about the smaller passages," she explained. In a small wave of her hand, she invited Kristy in for tea. "Business as been terrible for all of us, here." Finished with her rant, Bridgette smiled toward her friend. "But I see you had no trouble getting in."

"Well, with the kind of minerals i haul around, i don't take the main roads that often." Kristy smiled. Before following Bridgette in side, she turned to Dimond and whispered in her ear, "Stay out here and keep an eye out for trouble." Kristy turne and went inside. "I'm sorry things don't seems to be going well here. Maybe someone needs to take this king down." Kristy said softly.

Bridgette nodded in agreement. "It would be nice to have a new, kinder king," she murmured. "That man is--" Bridgette's eyes widened as she perceived a soldier marching by her shop. "Is the kindest. I've never heard of a better..." her voice trailed off as the soldier continued his walk passed the small building they were in. Frowning, now, she placed her hands on her hips and shook her head. "I've never seen a better sinner in my life," she finished. "He even sends soldiers out to patrol the areas for 'heretics' as he calls those who speak in vain of him." She huffed in exasperation, letting her hands fall to her sides.

The place was all new to her, new faces, new location. Solitudo muttered to herself, hating the witch to force her to come. "Bah, I know very damn well that old hag can defend herself against low-lives". This was true, the witch can bring just about anyone to her feet with her visions and spells. But Solitudo felt eyes on her, already she notice the soldiers looking at her. Bloody hell, I bet they think I'm some whore by the way I dress, careful boys, I'm not afraid to kill a idiot. she bitterly thought, then she felt a tug on her ear. "OW!" she yelled, a vain popping right above her eye, the old, but very strong woman dragged her into the crowds.
