"Pride is the mother who is pregnant with all the other sins" That means humility is the greatest virtue. Hey everyone and "Happy Halloween"!
I don't really celebrate Halloween anymore because of it's origins, but I remember a few stories from when I used to! And if I can remember, I'm sure you can too. This is a very simple contest: Share your true Halloween stories with everyone, weather they're funny, typical, scary, anything!
This is mostly a just-for-fun contest, but just for the sake of giving out prizes, I will give out 2k at the end of the month to five people who's stories are super duper.
So have at 'er!

This story is my reveiw of last year smile
My sister, My friend, My sisters friend and I were Going "Trick or teating alone"...Well turned out that My friend from school was there. And She ran up to us " Hey guys, Whos that? " We looked around Going to the darkest place in the neighborhood. "I dont see anyone" Stated Ema [My sister]. We took a short cut and found out it was covered In animal traps. We didnt go.. " Look, There he is again " My friend wimpered. "Dont worry." I said. "What can happen In this neighborhood on halloween?" The nest time anyone looked around Is when someone called My name. I jolted sidewards searching the road....No one. Then, I saw a shadow. Not enough to see his face. But good enough to know he was dark skinned, Tall, and had on full black with his hood...Now I got creeped out. "Ema? There IS someone behind us...Stalking." Trying to calm the mood. "Hannah stop making up nonsense.!" "IM NOT! I saw him and so did she.!" Pointing to my friend...
We went home after, And emptied out bags...Then went again.
Now everyone noticed the shadow but we were to far away from home to run now...We walked up to someones house. And he told us to come in...We didnt, But we did run away surprised We went home after the second round and stayed...Talking about a trip. What a Wierd Night.!
[Now I am relunctant about going trick or treat because we have these teenagers in our neighborhood who are pyscho-paths and do crack, smoke (ext.) But they also Break into peoples cars and houses....So yea]
Hope you enjoyed it!

I am just going to tell you something that happened to me one year on halloween. I don't wont to win the contest though. This is the most stupid story.
You see I always dressed up for Halloween to give out candy, and one year it rained, and I only got 3 trick or treaters. sad I was sad....

I'll post mine later because I have so many I have to choose a time where I have no distractions.
@ankiannabar: The origins of Samhain are not evil or bad in any way. It literally means "Summers End" and was the Celtic New Year. It was the time of year when the dead was honored and the harvest began. It is indeed pagan in nature but so are many holidays celebrated today. Even Christmas owes itself to its pagan roots. Last year for Halloween, I totally disrupted the whole neighborhood..... I dressed my daughter up as a punk pirate. There were several people that were in costume to scare kids (and even one guy hiding in a pile of leaves) and it just so happened that every person we walked by on one particular street was more interested in checking out my daughter or telling me she looked awesome.... the people handing out candy were getting agitated O_o It wasn't even that much of an involved costume, but I'll include pics for the fun of it because she was absolutely adorable heart And in the spirit of Halloween..... These were our pumpkins last year ^_^

well, my story: My little sister and I, a few years back, were out trick or treating. At that age, we would run house to house in an attempt to get as much candy as we could. At one house, we got to the door, knocked, and impatiently waited as we caught our breath. When the door slowly opened we got ready to say the 'required' words but we were too scared. The man that had opened the door jumped out at us with a running chainsaw. XD My little sister started to run away until he stopped the chainsaw and offered us our candy.

"Pride is the mother who is pregnant with all the other sins" @Krislovejmt-- Good story XD haha. How old was your girl? I think that's hilarious that everyone reacted that way! She's a good looking kid too!
One year I dressed up as a fairy and blew sparkles in peoples faces when they came to the door XD The kids loved it, the parents looked peeved.
EDIT: I'll finish replying and give my story tomorrow <3

My son picked Jack. Which was waaaaaaaay easier than Spider-Man the year before that rofl @Ankisuru- Thanks! ^_^ @Ankianna- She was 6 in that pic. It was absolutely hilarious to have a yard full of "dead bodies" hop up to check her out xd

"Pride is the mother who is pregnant with all the other sins" That means humility is the greatest virtue. Speaking of when I was younger than 13 XD
When I was 12, my friends went trick-or-treating. I had no costume though, so my mom painted my face green and put a bunch of red yarn all over and told me it was good enough. I felt like a retard XD My three friends (Nikki, Raquel, and Tania) went door to door like anyone else, but we got to this one house and hesitated.
This house was about 1 block up the street from mine, and whenever I passed it and saw the dude sitting on his doorstep, I would get the chills.
"What kind of creep has a real, human-sized cage in their front yard?" Nikki asked. "Oh my God, Nikki. Shut up you're so stupid. It's Halloween. That's why they have it out." Raquel was always the more bossy one.
I kinda just shook my head and I told them that he's always had it there, and sometimes the guy would put his wife in there and make her beg to come out (true story even, the inner city can be a messed up place, especially for little little kids. Try explaining that to a 6 year old?)
Everyone seemed to believe me except for Raquel, who started up the pathway to the door. "You guys are being stupid. Come on! I want candy!" We all run to catch up to her.
Right after we knock at the door, we realize that there's a sign that says "WE DON'T HALLOWEEN" beside the doorbell. But the rottweiler they owned was already viciously jumping and barking at the door's window and we got curious. If the guy had a cage outside, what did he have inside? We peek in and see all these satanic posters on the wall, and a Satanic Bible sitting on the floor by their couch.
Obviously, we never wanted to try trick-or-treating there the next years ><
anyways, that's my story!
