Just passed the shops and moving closer towards the beach, little wooden bonfire pits were lined along the shore, just close enough towards the waters edge that even when high tide came the water would just barely reach it. On the surface of the water, floating along were tiny little flowers with candles inside. It seemed magic was the only thing keep them both afloat and alight, no matter how hard the wind blew nothing seemed to deter them.
Large red banners were hung along many surfaces, each held the semblance of the harvest god. As beautiful the scenery was there was a heaviness to the mood as though there was a great importance to tonight.
The snow was cleared of the entire area, and the air was light and crisp. The weather was perfect on this quiet evening. It seemed not even the heavens would dare snow on this event.
