zomg, the imperialist press was going crazy over the 'rounding up of dissidents' going on, and how people were told not to come out out to watch the parade and s**t. While stupid, this s**t is just hypocritical nonsense coming from the same ******** who firebombed Dresden, nuked Japan, and slaughtered the peoples of Korea, Vietnam and most other countries in the so called 'third-world'.

It's a pic of the Empire State Building lit up red and yellow in honor of the PRC. Unfortunately this takes you to a page of people who are outraged by this.

Yeah, as unaligned with the Chinese government as I am, I think it's a great diplomatic gesture and nothing more than a sign of friendship. People freaking out about this need to, first of all, chill out and secondly, drop the bigotry and hyper-nationalism.

I couldn't agree more, thank you for posting this photo because I didn't want to wait and see what Glenn Beck was talking about until tomorrow night. Since when does America glorify communist countries? I guess it could've been worse, I don't see the Chinese flag flying high in the sky.

Yup, though my "ugh" is more about the bold text in this guy's comment. Since when is a little act of good PR bad? I actually think it was a nice gesture on America's behalf.

I agree. Usually I get all fired up and I want to argue with these people, but lately I've realized the futility in such an act, so I keep it to myself.

I think it says more about the state of China's 'communism that the world's most powerful imperialist power is willing to suck up to them that much, rather than saying ANYTHING about America's attitude toward 'communist countries.'
