I am downright appauled.
I'll have each and every one of you know, our moderators have worked very hard to keep this guild alive. And seeing the state that it is in now, bothers the heck out of me.
Members, think of all the times we've struggled to help this place out.
Yakari gave us the gold to buy this guild, so we wouldn't be left behind in a lonely thread with only 40 or so members, way back when.
I have, countless times, re-vamped this guild to bring newer and more interesting threads.
Maki stresses about this guild constantly. I hear her everyday on the phone. Even THOUGH she barely goes on Gaia, she still manages to catch things before me. This guild LITERALLY sets her emotions very easily. She takes her moderating job seriously.
Ta-kun is always thinking of the guild, always on the phone going "Let's make this thread to attract people!" Always. And he tries to post and reply to everyone, as I've seen.
Priea is always suggesting new things for the guild, new ideas, and events. Events we can't do.
Shoe, though he is no longer a moderator, or even apart of Gaia, really helped out. From the Christmas event, even though it totally flopped, to the ADD thread, which had everyone posting in it for the longest time.
Does everyone realize that we have 133 members? No, that's not a lot. Do you know what our average post count is in a day?
2. 2 posts. A day. For 133 members. That is ridiculous. Is it really that hard to go out of your way to post once in a 24 hours period? I know I hardly ever post, but I have ADD so bad, I rarely ever log on Gaia anymore. I'm so distraught by how this guild has turned out.
Maybe the subforums were a bad idea, I don't know. But quite honestly, I would love some open suggestions as to what we could do to help this guild, YET AGAIN, out. /: Because it really seems like the members just don't care anymore.'
Sincerely, Your Official Gravitation Guild Captain, Maron.

You want some suggestions? I've got three:
1. Don't be mean to guild members. I wasn't even TWO WEEKS OLD on Gaia when you locked my thread and posted a rude message for it being in the wrong place. Should I have remembered the posting rules? Yes. But I'm also new and a member of six other guilds. I'm human, I get the rules for various places mixed up occaisionally. You could have just as easily MOVED the thread and POLITELY told me that it was in the wrong place. Being more considerate of your guild members will make them want to visit here more.
2. Don't decline people's requests to join. I recommended this guild to a friend because she finds the regular Gaia forums boring and wanted a place where people talked about things she was interested in, like Gravitation. You rejected her.
3. Don't post messages complaining about the lack of posts if YOU aren't going to post here regularly yourself. Expecting others to do something you aren't doing and then giving lame excuses about ADD is very unprofessional, and not at all the example the Guild Owner should be setting for the rest of us.

Talk about being rude.
1. Yes, I locked your thread. If you have a problem with the thread being locked then you should post it in the correct place. =/ The message was not rude. Is it because I put it in big red letters? I did that so people could actually read the rule. If you have a problem keeping up with six guilds, that is not my fault, or anyone else, but yours. You must still respect the rules of the guild. And having to repeat the same rule over and over again is just unnecessary and ridiculous. I shouldn't have to. Read the FAQ. Read the rules. Respect them. That is how order is maintained. I was not rude to you, and after all, you did make your thread, did you not?
2. If we didn't decline requests this would be a public guild. But it's not. It's private. Moderators select who they will allow to join the guild. Why? Because we want people here who -say- they will be active and actually stand by it. We don't want people who's join request just says, "I LOVE GRAVIIII!!! RYUICHI IS MY GOD!!" Your friend's request was most likely declined because of failure to abide by the rule about join requests. "Those who aren't invited, please include in your join request, at least two sentences and 2 reasons as to why you wish to join this guild." That's why it was declined. There's no other way we would decline a possible member. =/
3. Do you want to know something? Maron does not post -everyday-, but he posts. He posts often, as a matter of fact. Maybe not as often compared to me or Tatsuha_Uesugi, but he posts. He's polite and probably one of a handful of people on Gaia who will actually be your friend no matter who you are. He has a very busy life as well. I'm not going to divulge what he has to do, as that is his private business, but he has his reasons, and it's not just ADD.
Thank you for the suggestions all the same. If I seem rude to you, this is just the way I am. I am not attempting to be rude to you, but it seems as though you are trying to provoke someone. If it's Maron, it's not going to work. If it's me, please, take it to PMs if you have an issue. I will be glad to discuss it with you one on one.
Have a nice day.

Questina You want some suggestions? I've got three: 1. Don't be mean to guild members. I wasn't even TWO WEEKS OLD on Gaia when you locked my thread and posted a rude message for it being in the wrong place. I apologize for the "rude message," but us moderators really do get sick of the same thing being told to people repeatedly. We're not going to stalk you or something and go "Oh, we should give her a break because she's only a 2-week old Gaian." That's absolutely no excuse. We were explaining to you that we do not want this type of thing to happen again. Don't take it personally, as it was nothing of a personal threat. We treat our members as a whole, not individually. Quote: Should I have remembered the posting rules? Yes. But I'm also new and a member of six other guilds. I'm human, I get the rules for various places mixed up occaisionally. Sorry to be cruel, but that's your fault. It's not hard to look around the guild and see what goes where. Quote: You could have just as easily MOVED the thread and POLITELY told me that it was in the wrong place. You're right. Next time we'll try to be a bit more polite about our requests, and that will definitely stop everyone from breaking the rules anyway. Oh, and sorry for the sarcasm, but we've had terrible guild members in the past. Quote: Being more considerate of your guild members will make them want to visit here more. I have been more than considerate to every guild member here. For the last year, I have tried to keep the peace in this guild. I think I am starting to be a bit too considerate, to be quite honest. Quote: 2. Don't decline people's requests to join. I recommended this guild to a friend because she finds the regular Gaia forums boring and wanted a place where people talked about things she was interested in, like Gravitation. You rejected her. She obviously did not explain in two very simple English sentences as to why she wanted to join our guild. I don't care if she likes Gravitation, if she can't express her interest in our guild/Gravitation in a two sentence request, she will not be accepted. It is the same for any other member. If it is truly that big of a deal, she can request to join again. Quote: 3. Don't post messages complaining about the lack of posts if YOU aren't going to post here regularly yourself. My inactivity has nothing to do with the members inactivity. Everyone is their own person. Quote: Expecting others to do something you aren't doing and then giving lame excuses about ADD is very unprofessional, and not at all the example the Guild Owner should be setting for the rest of us. Sorry you feel that way. Would you rather I wrote a 6 paragraph essay explaining every reason why I'm inactive? I could name plenty, house problems, computer problems, family problems, friends problems, girlfriend problems, schoolwork problems. Same reason why some of the moderators are inactive. I'd rather not put my whole life story in front of the entire guild to read. I'd rather sound lame than do that. And I don't think it's 'unprofessional' to spend my quality time and gold to do everything I can for this guild, and spend a year attempting to make it the most I can, even spending hours on the phone with other moderators thinking of ideas, and conjuring events, threads, and other things to help said guild. And after all that, is it really that much to expect out of 133 members, one post a day? However, thank you for your input, it will be discussed. ^_^ Input is always appreciated by our members, and I apologize if I sounded rude in anyway.

This made me wear emo glasses today in an attempt to look emo.
Questina seems to be forgetting that there are more moderators in this guild other than Maron. neutral But that's been explained.
Questina, if you have any questions, feel free to ask them in my FAQ, okay? :3

Forgive me. I havn't been posting here much any more ):. Currently, my computer is being crappy, and won't allow me onto Gaia due to my lacking Flash, but this happened only recently. Sence I became a mod in another guild, I've been wokring on that for awhile, and life has been kinda rough of my right now... but I know that's not exactly a good excuse... Once, I gte back home, and I manage to fix my computer, I'll become a reggy here once more. You have my word on it, and Tohma never backs down on her word <3.

I'm a new member to the guild, so I don't know much about its history, but I'd like to see if I can help in any way. I'm known for being on the internet way more than I should be, so I should always post AT LEAST once a week. Anyways... Did you notice the guild becoming less active once you changed the 3 days of no posting to 2 weeks of no posting? I realize that 3 days was a little harsh, but 2 weeks seems so long, imagine posting on a thread and having to wait 2 weeks for a reply. Maybe you can find a happy medium between the two, like, a week. I don't know if that will help at all, but eh.
