'Tis now the very witching time of night, When churchyards yawn and hell itself breathes out Contagion to this world... Glücklichen Halloween meine Freunde! Es wird ein Spaß und Erschrecken zwei Wochen sein! Happy Halloween! Its going to be a fun and terrifying two weeks! So what- may I ask- includes delicious foods, lots of partying, costume contests and food competitions? Well, Takaba's First Oktober Extravaganza of course! Did you notice how I spelled October with a 'k'? Well thats because we are going to incorporate the two biggest and most fun filled events of October, into one large event: Oktoberfest and Halloween!
Our event will have:Ghouls and Goblins.======= Dancing Witches.======== Singing Ghosts! Okay...maybe not the singing ghosts part......
Okay, okay...hold the cheers and applause. Allow me to explain whats going to be happening here. Of course, since this is a roleplay guild, we will include a roleplay for everyone's characters. That will be in a separate thread, in the subforums. However, in this one, we will host the other half of our event. There will be lots of food, costumes and discussions. Everyone will have the opportunity to go off and find a Halloween type food, post the description and recipe with a picture. I can hear my stomach growling already! And to top it off...we will have costume competitions as well! Now, here are the guidelines:-- Costumes MUST be submitted in a TekTek function.This means, that you will have to go to TekTek, and venture over to their Dream Avatar Creator function. Feel free to make your character look like anything! But....-- Every submission must include a item list, and overall price.Why? Well...because there has to be some kind of limit to the amount of money that our characters can spend! These will be the costumes of our roleplay character(s), and we have to keep it fair! No character has an overflowing wallet with endless cash and credit cards (Unless they're the dean). I don't think they'd be going to Takaba if they did!--Costume spendings must be limited to a maximum of 350,000 gaian gold.Seeming as everyone uses Gaia Cash to purchase their items, it seems reasonable to put a limit on things. If you're like me and can't afford, then it makes it harder to get items. Try your best to make an avatar that fits within budget. Try and use some of the avatar skins, before using an E.I. that has some in it. It may not look as good, but it'll get the job done and won't kill your wallet. --Every character that will be participating in the Halloween Party Event, must have a costume created..I don't think everyone is going to try and pull off the 'I'm myself' or 'I'm a loner' costume. That never works, and it ruins the fun for people!--PM Tod-laufend your character costume submissions.Well...that ones kind of obvious. I have to be able to approve them... In doing so, please label your PM 'Costume'. --I will not be the only one deciding the costume winner.To make it fair, I will be deciding with the Captain and Vice Captain, the winner for the costume contest. Not only is this more fair, but it also keeps the serial killers that come after me for not choosing their costumes! Now...Of course we don't expect you to make your characters wear lederhosen. I've done that...and its not all that comfortable. I'd imagine that the three fools to my left are simply smiling for the picture.... Or atleast something along those lines. We are simply trying to incorporate the German festivities, with our American love for Halloween! Of course, where else can you ignore your parent's rules for "No candy after 9:00!". But how many of us abide by that rule anyway? Anyways...onto our next topic of discussion!FOOD!! The second part of this tri-fold event is the food! Food glorious food!

Yes, of course there is going to be food! Why, how could we have a successful party without the stomach filling and mouth watering delights of amazing food?! Of course, there is your traditional Oktoberfest delights...
But what would make this event different from Oktoberfest? Well pretty ladies and handsome men, sit back and enjoy!
Everything you know about a Guild or Gaia event, will change. NOW! This event will include the chance for members to submit their own or other recipes, that they feel are a great necessity to a party! The recipes can be desserts, meals or appetizers or anything of that sort! You are also welcome to include some kind of drink to go along with your recipe. Of course, our characters will be 'eating' and 'drinking' these recipes, so make sure they are school appropriate! This means no spiking the punch bowl, Stalker Knife!
Now, I will allow people to post their own submissions for the recipes. However, there is a limit to one drink and one food related recipe, per person. Also, please do not spam the thread related to the recipe event. Of course, you are allowed to discuss different recipes or drinks and things, but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!! do not talk about what you're going to make your character do at the party, or what they're going to wear. That can be taken care of via profile comments, or PMs if you wish to plan something. On that note, please abide by the ToS and guild rules when doing so! So....dress up, get some food, drink some punch and chill out like this skeleton! Have fun everyone!
