A plane wreckage is reported in the wilderness of Alaska. A news reporter was on the scene near the wreckage. "We're on-air." The cameraman reported.
"I am on scene..." The newswoman reported with the usual intro. She was talking about the 'Worst plane crash in Alaska'. There seemed to be no survivors, the fire department had the fire under control, and all seemed fine. Then suddenly...
"Wait... Is that someone... Moving? Something's wrong! Get the paramedics, he's hurt! There are others! One's on fire... What's wrong with them? I've never seen someone look like that before... They're watching us!" The camera zoomed in on the passengers of the wrecked plane. A few were soaking wet. Others were on fire, and others still had electricity bouncing from their very skin. Faces deformed, strange masks on from forgotten plays. The fire trucks nearby started to hose down the flaming ones. The fires did not go out. Paramedics rushed, only to be flung back incredible distance as a few of the survivors moved their hand in a flinging motion.
"Oh my god... They have guns! Take co-" Machine gun fire erupted, and the camera fell to ground, showing the cameraman running for his life.
He burst into flames with a FOOSH and fell to the ground, the newswoman collapsing beside him with numerous gun shot wounds. Screams filled the air, with gun fire and twisted sounds. The camera shorted out suddenly with a crack of what sounded like lightning.
The news reached national, and eventually inter-national televisions. It became Global knowledge.
Soon towns close to the crash site, along with towns across Alaska, found strange things in their everyday lives. Graffiti in once-peaceful towns covered walls. Hospitals ran out of syringes, first aid kits, and nothing else. They simply disappeared. The graffiti, at first, wrote out ravings that added up to nothing. Then they wrote the same name, over and over again.
Apparently, they called themselves The Splicers.
People who saw the graffiti-writers were found frozen in their homes. Little girls disappeared without a trace. People who moved out of Alaska were never found again. Eventually everything expanded out to Canada, and the U.S. The police were helpless. Then the Government released an elite force whom they called 'The Anti-Splicers'. All powers The Splicers were reported to have, the Anti-Splicers were also said to have. However, they were not as experienced as the Splicers, but they were there nonetheless. The Splicers soon, took over towns, which were never heard from again.
And then, there were the children.
Amidst all the chaos, a group of teens, ranging from 12 to 18, found the things which the Anti-Splicers used to aquire their powers. A variety of pills and/or injections, which altered the user's DNA to a number of degrees. Whether it be ice flying from their hands, lightning from their fingertips or bees storming from their arms, it made the user a force to be reckoned with. Most of the teens chose wisely, while others were reckless. They took sides, either as mysterious vigilantes to the Anti-Splicers, siding as new members to the Splicers, or with themselves. They eventually scavanged guns from the dead bodies of the warring sides.
You take the place of those children. Please follow these rules:
1. You can have any power you want, as long as it isn't ridiculous. More powers will be revealed later on!
2. Don't kill other people without permission. Feel free to kill innocent NPC's, but you must have the consequences of the police.
3. You can be good or evil, but in these times, it's hard to find a true hero. No absolute hero-ing.
4. Limit 5 powers per character. There are hidden consequences, to be revealed later on.
5. There are defensive and offensive powers, but feel free to be anything you want. I will tell you if something is too ridiculous.
6. Shape-shifting is allowed, but only to a degree. Only 3 forms.
7. Have fun! biggrin

Age: 13
Powers: Electricity, shape-shift into a wolf and wolf-man, along with his human form, electricity immunity, telekinesis, and bees.
Morality/Personality: A normally very intelligent and law-abiding person, his new powers corrupted him into a thief. He can't turn back now, as his family and home have been annihilated by the Anti-Splicers and Splicers.
Appearance:
Brief History: Jack grew up in a normal town in Maine when the Splicer war came to him. He was a good student, with mainly A's and B's. When his family was murdered, Jack panicked and ran for his life until he found the syringes which gave him his powers. He took it upon himself to exact revenge on anyone who caused him to turn out this way, whether it be the Anti-Splicers, Splicers, or anyone in between. Jack steals for the sake of living. Insanity lurks, as at times he can be heard raving: "I'm still a nice person... I have to be... I'm still a nice person!"
Gender: Male
Weapons/Other: Jack, other then his powers, uses an old Tommy Gun and Shotgun. He's been experimenting with combinations of his powers and guns, so explosions may be imminent.
