Plot/Introduction

You open your eyes to a bright new day, the advertisement still rumbling through your sleep-deprived mind from the previous night, your heart practically tap-dancing in your chest.
Today is it, -the day- finally.
The day that you can FINALLY set forth to receive your beloved new partner, and explore a brand new world that has been previously denied you.
Yes, so proclaimed the ad on the newspaper- the one from the oh-so-nice professor who goes forth with his research from the obscure little lab out in Shile Town.

However, unknown to all of the new trainers who are lucky enough to be receiving their first pokemon today, there is a plot unfolding resonating from far to the south on the Forgotten Isles; and the new pokemon the trainers are being given are… Odd- to say the least.
Their powers have been amplified, messed with beyond comprehension.
Each of them has been obviously abused in one way or another, and all are the failed guinea pigs- totally unsuitable for ‘newbies’ like the kids they’ll be going to.

They, and the kids, are all going to be part of a sick new experiment that a certain team (Acrchale) which is operating out of the Forgotten Isles- a series of power-crazed beings searching for the ‘all powerful’ pokemon of their dreams- of altering pokemon DNA/behavior to make them the ultimate weapons.
They have been in the shadows for a while, but they’ve now moved up from simply using wild pokemon found on the Islands to pokemon raised by trainers…
Needless to say, there have been some recent pokemon-snatching going on up toward the North of the region, and it’s sent the rest of the area into complete turmoil.

Trainers are scared for their pokemon, a few contest halls have been closed, a few police stations have been silently taken over, the professor is part of the grand scheme- and no one knows who the ‘bad guys’ really are until it’s too late.

So are you one of the new trainers, one of the by-standers fearing for the lives of their pokemon, or one of the Archales- ready for your grand take over to finally begin?
