Ryo walked out from a den, shaking his fur free from the night's frost. He walked over the a fallen tree, sitting on it. He gave a yawn and looked around. A sleepy morning; nothing going on yet. He looked back to then den hoping someone would wake up. The pack was still sort of new. They had many enemies, including them selves constantly fighting over who should be in charge. It was a pain because, sure, today Ryo was alpha but he might get challenged by the time the day was though. He sighed, maybe it was best no one else was awake; starting the day with a fight was not his thing. He quickly turned his head, there was movement from the den. It was Fairday. He watched her carefully get up, trying not to wake the pup Sooner. She left the den silently, fallowing his sent to the tree. " Morning, Ryo," Fairday said. Her whisper of a voice said to the alpha. " I wish that pup would leave me alone. I'm not his mom. Why me? There are other females." Ryo shrugged, not that she could see it. " Oh well. Soon he will be old enough to not need you to be his 'mommy' and you will miss the days when he fallowed you around like the pup he is," Ryo said with out thinking much. " Such wise words from Ryo? My, my! What happened to my brother?" Fairday asked in a joking way. She sometimes called Ryo her brother because of the fact they were so close, more then most others. Ryo laughed, " I ate him." A little whine came from the den. The little ball of fur got up and looked around. Sooner whined, " where's mommy?" He asked to no one in particular. He got out of the den. " She's over here. She's about to go hunt so stay with me," Ryo said to the pup. Despite being alpha( for now) he didn't mind other's pups being in the pack. He'd let any of his pack have pups as long as it would not jeopardize the pack in the up coming year. The little pup Sooner ran over to Ryo and Fairday, still sleepy. He fell a bunch. Fairday smiled, even though she could not see the pup it sounded as if it was very cute. Once Sooner got to the two wolves he went to lie under Fairday. " Can't I come and watch Mama?" Ryo laid down where he was sitting and shook his head. " No, you can come. It's very dangerous with the people around and we don't want you to mess her up," Ryo said very nicely to the pup.

Trent was up and out of bed quickly preparing for his hunt. He was the only one going out this cold morning. He grabbed his bow,his knife, and his sketch-pad. He headed out northward, because he beleived he knew were a wolf camp was in this area. He travled for a while before he detected some tracks. He realized these were tracks of a very nice sized elk which he had to get. He followed the tracks for a while then saw some wolfs in front of what looked to be a den. Trent was smart enough to keep his distance but he got up in a tree and began to sketch the scene.

" Okay," said little Sooner then hopped over to Ryo. " I better get started," Fairday shrugged and lifted her noise. She smelled the air. " I.. think a human is near by," Fairday said and looked back to Ryo. Ryo stated calmly," there wasn't a moment ago. Sooner, go back to the den. Your mother and I will look for the human." Ryo's hackles were up abit. Sooner nodded and gave a little yelp as he ran off to hide. " Where do you think the person is? " Ryo asked Fairday as he got up off the fallen tree and sniffed the air. " I do not know... " Fairday said. After a moment of silents she asked," do you believe I would know if I could see?" She asked much to Ryo's surprise. She laid down, as if it would hide her better. If she wasn't so dark she would of been hidden well. But, that was the thing about dark fur; you could hide at night but not in snow. Ryo smiled, " Well, I don't know where they are, so sight would make no difference.. Let's go hunt, act like nothing is going on." He walked the opposite way of the den, Fairday soon fallowing. Sooner watched helplessly. He knew he must stay where it was safe. They were partly leaving so that if they were indeed being hunted, the hunter would fallow them rather then look for the pup. Yet, Sooner still wanted to fallow. They didn't go far, Ryo only went to where he could see the den.

Trent finishes up his sketch and tosses his things into his pack. Just as he jumped down from the tree he realizes his great luck. He spots off in the distance about 10 yards away 2 elk one very nice sized. Just as he readied he heard something behind him. He spun around and to his surprise he saw a young slim boy with blonde hair. "WHOA DON'T SHOOT ME. the young boy called out. "Tencer! what are you doing here?" Trent said as he lowered his bow. "I wanted to" Trent cuts him off as he spins back around remembering about the two elk. Only the smaller one reamained there. So Trent readied his bow again and this time uninterupted he released the arrow. There was a short pause and then the elk collasped over. "Got him, now Tencer since you so rudly interupted my shot you get to carry it back. "Fine" Tencer said very depresed. So Tencer and Trent began their trip back.

Ishamaru wasn't far off from the rest of the pack. His sky blue eyes were upon the young human that sat scetching. He hadn't been spotted, surprising enough as it was, he was as white as snow against the ground, though he had sat in a bed of frost that collected under a tree. As for the moment, there was no sign that the human was going to do anything, but that didn't mean he trusted him. His eyes moved to Fairday, Ryo and Sooner. He stood slowly, his old bones giving him hell at the weather started to chill. The pup looked as if he longed to follow, but ofcourse he would not be permitted. Ryo didn't have the temperment to allow him to go at the moment. He moved closer to the den, giving the human a dark look before looking twards the pup. "Quit the sour face, pup." he barked.

Sooner looked up at the old wolf. " Sorry," He said quietly, not knowing if Ishamaru heard him. The pup laid close to the ground and gave a nervous wag of his tail. Sooner was thinking about taking a slight nap, until the sun came out more or something. His ears twitched as he listen to the human talking, then the noise of something falling. He lifted his head again, looking at the elk who had been near by. He gave a sigh and put his face in snow.
Ryo stopped watching over the pup when he saw Ishamaru come near the den. The old white wolf had seen more then his share of days and be able to watch over Sooner for now. Ryo watched the human now. He sat safely away from where the person could see. They are strange... Letting themselves get surprised like that.. he thought watching Trent's conversation with Tencer. When Ryo saw the bow, ready to shoot, he was on edge. Ready chase the human away. He knew the pack would have to move now that some one knows where they live. It was a pain, but if he did have to chase the hunter, he know that the pack would be hunted after. He relaxed abit when he saw the elk fall.
Fairday trotted alone in the woods, thinking Ryo was behind her. She stopped for a moment; listening. There was a pigeon who flew onto a branch, pushing snow onto the ground. Maybe a squirrel near by. But no wolf. She was not lost, only alone. A deer walked near by, it stopped and looked at the wolf. Fairday yawned, she heard the deer, " I'm not hunting you." With that the deer ran off. Fairday got up to look for something.

Waking up to a cold feeling on her nose, Daybreak opened her eyes to see that some snow had fallen off a brach and onto her snout. Standing up and shaking the snow off her nose, she headed back towards the den. She had gone out earlier for some fresh air, since Sooner was sleeping, and Fairday was there. As she was walking, Daybreak caught the scent of a fellow wolf on in the air and began to run in that direction. When she got to that are, she saw Fairday looking like she was searching for something. Letting out a greeting howl before she reached her, Daybreak slowed down to a trot. "Are you out hunting? I must've fallen asleep for longer than I thought."

Fairday looked at the pup watcher. " Good morning. I was hunting with Ryo, but I seem to have lots track of him." Fairday smiled. " Not to long, I should think. I awoke just awhile ago." Fairday stood, shaking her fur free from what ever snow fell on her, if any. " Sooner has woken up, but he's not doing much. Do you want to go back to the den, or hunt with me?" Fairday gave a little play bow to the still young wolf.

One ear flicked back in contained excitement as Daybreak tried to act wise and older than her years, failing notably. Looking at Fairday happily, Daybreak layed down on her forearms. "Oh, I would like to hunt with you, if you don't mind, that is."Even though she looked after pups, she was still a cub herself.

Faraday smiled. Although she could not see the fellow wolf, she could hear the returned jester. " Of course I would not mind, I did invite you after all," Faraday stood back up and lifter her head, the wind was picking up," Come on, you'll be my eyes." She sniffed the new wind, she was pretty sure she could smell Ryo now, but she wanted to try and bond with the pup sitter now. She had a question for the girl anyway. " Do you smell any prey near by?" that's wasn't the question she really wanted to ask.

Smiling, Daybreak closed her eyes and pushed her nose to the wind. Sifting through all the different scents of the living things that had passed through or near the area, Daybreak caught onto a few of the scents and focused on them, trying to remember what they were. There is a hare trying to hide nearby, and an elk passed close by here just a few moments ago.

" The elk is unobtainable at this moment, so we should go after the hare. If he is hiding then he is most likely some where that he can see us," Fairday said, the in a much quieter voice," I suggest we corner the hare so he cannot escape." She awaited for the younger wolf's response. ~X~ Sooner gave a whine of boredom. Puppys were no good at doing nothing over long periods of time and he was getting abit to old to sleep all day. He sat up quickly t seeing the elk fall for seemingly no reason at all. He wanted to go investigate really badly. He sifted around on his paws looking a whining. Finally, he decided to run over anyway.

"Yes, that sounds like a good idea." Daybreak whispered back. "Can you smell it's scent? I scented it around some trees to our left."
